got to cut those sides down 18 inches on each side of the trench box 18 inches the top of trench box

Top man should have done had that cable around the pipe an rubber on an greased when ur ready to hook up under the condition ur working under
We use this method because we have no quality issues when the seal is put on the pipe just before joining Chris
I don't understand why you guys run that shield all the way to the bottom. You don't have to do that. You dig with your shield tight in the side. S keep it about 2 and a 1/2 3 feet off the bottom.

Should use a stone box. Like this the excavator does not have to travel

Why so much over dig on sides of box
The excavation is through gravel which kept falling in, its not over dug Luther
Why are you walking so far to hook pipe?
Its safer to keep men away from the excavation as ground conditions were poor
