I am speechless. Just tears rolled down on cheeks. I felt l am blessed that born as an indian. Saastanga pranamams to both. Wah... Simply wah.... I felt like there's another subject inside the music which only can be felt can't be expressed in such situations. God bless both. Hare Krishna.

Whenever I listen to this Raga, i get into tears, as it was a favourite Raga of my Father, who attained heavenly board twenty one years back. Still this rendering make me to feel as if he is present and enjoying this unbeatable play by these God sent persons!

Beautiful sliding patterns on the lower sthayi from 6:35 - 6:59. Impressive part of the alapana is the bowing technique. Its usually an ignored aspect of violin playing. If we look carefully at the real great violonists, one important aspect is a steady bowing technique that allows them to produce a lot of notes/patterns in a single bow. May look trivial but takes immense hard work. Its equivalent to a singer singing in a single breadth. The phrases from 6:35 reflect why this is so important to produce the gayaki/singing effect. Lalgudi, MSG, TNK, VVS all possessed this steady bowing ability which separated them from the rest, in my humble opinion.

I agree with this. These guys are amazing but I am not sure why the need for endless run on sentences? Music needs space of silence intertwined with moments of speed to be fully appreciated. Music is not an endless race to the fastest:)
