You know, if Shift Up would scam me like that? Giving Scarlet or other Pilgrims where they shouldn't be, I'd let them scam me every time I pull lol.
I took it as you don't have an equal chance to get the pilgrim units since their percent drop chance was lower than the other Nikke.

Imagine paying expecting to get an SSR that is not "pilgrim, helm or laplace", but you get something else....isn't that considered a scam?
just because you get something better doesn't mean its not a scam, it is still a breach of trust considering you didn't get what you paid for....
You could argue that you did get something better cos of your luck.....Then what's the point in spending money when you could have hit a pilgrim without the need of a guaranteed pull if you had that same luck? It's almost like an insult to that lucky few paid players. If you are lucky to get an SSR in the first 9 pulls, you have essentially wasted your money for nothing. But I guess that is the norm in these gacha games right? their paid banners are always a scam.

Due to how Level 160 Limit Break 3 Bottleneck works, this can also be interpreted like this :
"I need to Limit Break 3, 5 of my favourite nikkes for synchro device lv 200. At least I have everything ready for LB 3 except Pilgrim, Helm or Laplace."

Man, ppl in that particular reddit just got fooled they are just jealous that they didn't have pilgrims.
there is a deadly bug in the new commander special recruitment(paid banner).
The recruitment interface showed exactly that the first and tenth in order were the SSR nikkes , but in fact I only got the first in order SSR nikke. The tenth in order SSR was gone , and it was replaced by a R grade nikke.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a screen recording, you guys must pay a attention to it.

So basically, in their defense. The pull sequence isn't the actual sequence and therefore that Pilgrim could have been part of the first 9? Hmmm, I don't know how the system actually works but I just know that their pull sequence in preview, single and multi are all in the same sequence so I kinda don't buy that explanation.
It's also weird that they specify how it works like your 1-9 pull can be any ssr units but not the 10th one then say that the sequence doesn't actually work that way? Why even put that description?
But hey since it's Scarlet, there are players that will of course let it go because it's an advantage to them. If it wasn't then I'm sure that's a different drama.

I frankly don't get it. From what it seems to me, people are saying the people who buy that banner are getting scammed because they might get a pilgrim?
I understood what people thought initially and how it actually works. What I don't understand is why they would call it a scam to buy the banner and get a pilgrim rather than a regular SSR.
People not understanding the rules due to it not being spelled out in the most complete way. Therefore a result that differs from their understanding (vs) its actual programming is a scan. As far as the game showing Scarlet last, is just its default layout for the gacha banner I guess.
getting pilgram is good but that just revealed the banner actually have BUG and its not working as how originally advertised, but instead of admitting the banner is bugged and fix the bug, Shiftup decided to change banner description to fool people as if the banner was never bugged...lol

Same thing, 1-9 pulls are normal rates, if you still didn't get an SSR the 10th single will be a guaranteed.
This banner really is a scam spent 33$ just to basically get absolutely nothing out of it and get a character I already have but don't even use

Currently nikke doing nothing but disappointment. Like event, cheap made skin ( the only they change is cloth, no new pose, new atk nor skill animation and they sell it like very expensive for that kinda skin), bug and bug, and probably scammed rate up.

Personally I think ppl are mad at the wrong thing. When I paid for a guaranteed, 10th should be guaranteed regardless if I pulled 1/more in my 1-9. That’s how I recalled it is for most gacha I’ve played. Maybe I’m remembering wrongly.

this shows how the game's code are all out of place, explaining the bugs and other issues.. If the banner says no pilgrim then there should be no pilgrim as per description otherwise there is something wrong with the game's gacha system and i think this is what people are complaining for.. If the most important part of the game which is thr gacha is broken and doesnt abide by what is described then everything else makes sense as to why there are so many bugs.

It reads as buying a 10 pull with a guarantee of a non pilgrim which is not possible if you pull a pilgrim. so its still bad.

The explanation of the order being random is just a poor excuse to cover up the devs lack of clarity on the whole situation. Whether the banner is a scam or not it's still a very greedy business decision. The way they are handling the Pilgrim units hasn't been very good in my opinion, making them feel more like limited units than normal SSR.
What's a Pilgrim? They don't exist in my game. I think it's a bug too.
It is scam anyway - I was thinking and probably 99,999% players too that you get 1 SSR but you have chance to get more on other 9 pulls. And this greedy beyond understanding company gives you middle finger if you got lucky before 10th pull.
What it essentialy means he should get 2 SSRs total here.
So those lame comments here saying he should be "happy with Scarlet" - well noone is denying Scarlet is good. Dude rightfully complains he should have been awarded 2nd SSR.
But Shift Up HATES when good stuff happens to player.
He could actually can sue them and they have no way of winning it , because they CONSCIOUSLY mislead customer into thinking he always gets SSR , but what they hidden from paying customers is that you cannot get more than 1 SSR unless you get 2 BEFORE 10th pull. And no its not "small mistake" - it is critical and he is fully eligible for refund or should be awarded mold with guarantee SSR.
When money comes in - company is NOT ALLOWED to hide such info from customer.

It's that way so you don't get a pilgrim , the odds are like 1 in a Million on first 9 of getting that , otherwise peeps would spend more to try and snipe a pilgrim or multiple ones in 20 pulls

For me yeah this is clearly a scam. I mean getting a Pilgrim is nice for your first 9 pulls. But the 10th pull should be a SSR no matter what since that's what you are paying for. He's definitely lucky to get Scarlet but he revoked his guaranteed SSR in exchange which is very scummy practice.

I dont really see the controversy, it's a meh gacha game doing something shitty, shady, and manipulative things, but definitely nothing new for most gachas games on this and other youtube channels lol.
Everyone I know including myself salted this game the second we saw this banner even existed, and moved on to better gachas 🤷♂️

Her self buff attack % is out of line honestly, she was also my second unit drawn. Nothing is going to compete with her in general usage until they nerf her or dump something even stupider out there. Though I will be honest, my Laplace is always just a dice roll on whether or not the level is perfect for her and she outdoes Scarlet. God I love having a rocket launcher DPS unit.
By the way, 100% sure the boost bug isn't working on Laplace. Doesn't need it anyways since her burst is actually affected by burst mode while all the units with instant effects like Harran and Scarlet don't get the 50% damage increase that burst mode gives.
