Rate wise is the same for non-rate up pilgrims.
Save tickets for strong characters, no matter if they are Perma/Limited, u wont want to miss stuff like Alice/Bunny duo/Tianaga duo/RH/Modernia/Sanis
I do agree that it can easily confuse people. Technically the chance of pulling a Pilgrim in a Pilgrim banner is higher, but that is specifically pulling the rate up Pilgrim only, and pulling the rate up character is twice as hard as a normal banner. As a huge whale I immediately bought Red Hood with gold tickets as I remember how much I had to spend to max out Modernia and Dorothy. Even for a free to play or light spender this might be the appropriate time to buy a single copy with gold tickets (or just skip entirely, but know that it will likely be a very long time before you get the rate up Pilgrim any other way).

Almost a year ago they had some CZcamsr make a video like this while doing the math and came to the same conclusion. I'm not sure if they're playing still so I'm glad you made this video I was trying to tell my friend this but he didn't believe me.
simple rule: just pull strong unit banners, pilgrim or not.
Pull llimited(collab) units if you are a collector

🤔pilgrim banners or not, all off banner pilgrims chances are the same. So the question is just boil down to should you pull that pilgrim banner or save for non pilgrim banner?
Which mean if you want to get the off banner pilgrims, the best way is to always pull on banner of strong characters, pilgrim or not.
🤔But since pilgrim banner is only 1% and non pilgrim banner is 2%, so if you want to pull a pilgrim banner, only pull if that pilgrim is much stronger than majority of the most non pilgrim character(eg red hood, modernia) to maximize your ticket efficiency
strong pilgrim + off rate pilgrim chance = 1% + 0.5% = 1.5%
1.5/4 = 37.5% chances to get a strong character if you managed to pull a SSR
strong non pilgrim + off rate pilgrim chance = 2% + 0.5% = 2.5%
2.5/4 = 62.5% chances to get a strong character if you managed to pull a SSR
so make sure the pilgrim banner you want to pull is significantly stronger(around 1.6 times stronger) than majority of non pilgrim banner to make up for the 25% gap

I saved for Red Hood since all the way from the Nier collab. Didn't get a single copy, had to get her from the choice shop. Probably close to 20 SSR spooks in all that. It was just a general banner as far as my experience was concerned. In the future I'll probably only get rate up Pilgrims from the choice shop.

When it comes to Pilgrims, I'm always going to save my gold mileage tickets on the pity. The only reason I even drew on the Anni was SU was incredibly generous with the free draws. (Well, that and I needed a few more draws to make 200 tickets, but I did get *extremely* lucky and was able to MLB RH.)

I can say from my experience that in the pilgrim banner from Red hood i won 4 differents pilgrims and was harder to win red hood with the 3 cores than the rest of them
As someone who made it a goal of going for MLB at the bare minimum on any Pilgrim banner. It is not worth pulling on their banners unless you have at least 150 pulls ready,again that's minimum or if you feel that you really are lucky and that you'd have rng by your side. Otherwise just buy them via ticket if you have 200
In reality the 1% may look good but it really isn't. First we need to get past the 4% hurdle and get a gold pull for SSR, then there's a 3% chance it's any other non-rate up Nikke which should be a 3 out 4 chance every SSR or 75% of the time. So a 25% chance of getting the banner Pilgrim after overcoming the 4% chance of getting an SSR is pretty ridiculous and is not for the light spenders and unlucky ones.
Pilgrim banners being the same rates, despite it being a Pilgrim banner, is some BS. Im F2P, and I got shafted by the Red Hood banner. I got 9 non banner characters in a row, not a single Red Hood. If I didn't save my milage, I wouldn't have gotten her. Take the advice and save the milage tickets for the Pilgrim banners if you can.
Yeah with modernia and dorothy i just do few multi just to get them but red hood my luck shaft but still get her just 1 copy.

does constants/spare bodies/stars on your characters matter a lot? i know that when u have five 3 star units u can break 160 wall but i really wonder does it have impact on pvp (or theirs stats etc)?

Small stat buff from the duplicates/cores and being able to max out affection, but a single piece of Overload Gear is more stats than all of that will give you. Nice to have their burst animation on your lobby if you like the character though.

The rates are always the same at 0.5% for Pilgrims, but what isn't the same is the SSR rates changes individually. This is where you want to look at and not at the "average" whole of the entire %. This is where Shift Up likes to mislead you. In standard banner, the regular SSR has a higher individual chance at getting standard Nikkes, especially with Wishlist activated. The 15 Nikkes shares a 3.5%, which individually put them at 0.2333% each, which is much higher than the current available 8 Pilgrims that remains static at 0.0625% for now. This will change once Red Hood gets added to the pool, which will further reduce the individual % of each pilgrim down to 0.0555%.
Interestingly enough, if you don't use the Wishlist, this puts all Nikkes in the standard banner with equal chance of acquirement at 0.0625% individually.
The main reason to pull on a Rate Up banner, be it Pilgrim or even regular SSR Nikkes (but rated up), is because the individual rates are higher than the individual rates of non-rated up Nikkes.
Pilgrims in rate up banner still has 0.0625%, but it is now higher than the standard SSR Nikkes that are at 0.0268%. It's a big difference from 0.2333% vs 0.0268%.
You can exchange a new character straight away using ticket? I thought you need at least one copy and the ticket pity are just for dupes...
Golden tickets can get you the rate up Nikke.
Silver tickets are for dupes from a limited pool of Nikkes.
If you think like that, Yes. But if you think every Rate Up banner have a 50%50% to get off banner then No.
Can i get Red Hood in the Future?
Only if you pull her in a future pilgrim banner, and she will be competing with 9 other pilgrims (the new one and the 8 other ones before her), which means the odds are ~10% that the pilgrim you pulled, is her and not one of the other 9 pilgrims, and one of them will have a higher chance to be pulled because of the rate up. Supposedly in early Jan, players are expecting another pilgrim banner.
Unless they do a rerun of the red hood banner, that's how it's gonna be.
I have always thought it interesting when someone tries to touch the numbers in a basically gambling game and use them to explain what and why it is. Etc.
Furthermore, another interesting point is whether RH is a returning character or not. Because I only got to LMB3. I am currently on colre level 0. Which can be a little frustrating, especially since characters like D have already reached core lvl 3 on my account.
I also have a super big question. I wonder which pilgrim will be next? That is, for the next PU recruitment.

Pulled Redhood banner on two accounts.
1st account: MLB RH, Snowhite, Dorothy dupe, Harran
2nd account: MLB RH, 2 Rapunzel dupes, Modernia
Started playing just after S. Anis banner and no where near that many pilgrims on any of the other banners. Obviously, my experience says its a no brainer to pull, but a lot of people got shafted apparently ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i rerolled and grinded heavily on like 5 diff accounts. only max lb i got was +2 hoods. smh. wish i got a mlb hood on any of the accounts. ended up sticking with a +2 hood, modernia, liter, centi acc. doubt ill ever mlb hood though.
Save your tickets for pilgrims, not limited or colab units. Just pilgrims :]
Well maybe collab units. Just because once they're gone, they're gone forever. So I'd say save for pilgrims + collabs.

Well the pilgrims are also broken is something that you have to understand.
For f2p if you want to aim with strong and monster unit really is to not pull on anyone except pilgrims and collab units but if you are new and a f2p i suggest not pulling for them why 160 walls always there then focus on other units that is not hard to get after your done the 160 wall focus on pilgrim then save up tons of pulls for f2p wise alright but if you want collab tjen just get 1 copy of them for collection but if you love collab that much then go all out but i dont siggesting that to new or other f2p not really good if i must say

Pilgrim banner: 1.5/4% pilgrim, that's 37.5%
Standard banner: 0.5/4% pilgrim, and that's 12.5%
(of golden pulls obviously).
You could argue that on the pilgrim banner you're actually receiving 25% more unwanted random trash ssr from your gold pulls compared to a standard banner, assuming you want the featured character, but after 5 minutes you still didn't say anything even approximating a probability or efficiency calculation.
Pilgrims are almost all meta, and there's not a single useless one. Trippling your chance on pulling one is a nobrainer decision.

Tove is not a pilgrim gr example of her is why should you pull for them rather than pilgrims mainly for new players too since 160 wall is there sp suggesting to pull like Tove or other missilis, tetra and so on than pulling pilgrim within 1 percent and 0.5 is not a good idea for new player to pull for them but still it's good to try aiming for them cause you can get non banner too so still worth it a try to aim for pilgrim 😂😂
