I haven't even watched this yet but FINALLY! It literally takes me 3 hours to curl my hair... and then it falls out in less then an hour because it's so thick and heavy. Curling literally is not viable for me.
My hair is also very thick and heavy, and there's a lot of it! You should definitely try to put your hair in a high ponytail with a soft elastic or a scrunchie before curling it - another tip is to give the strands a mist of hairspray too - and if you really want to help the curls holding even longer, then pin each curl with a duckbill clip and leave them in the ponytail until the hair has cooled down completely. It's way faster to curl the hair this way and the curls even last a lot longer 😉
Same!!
maybe try the curly girl method. it's supposed to bring out your natural wave/curl...even if you think you have straight hair!
I’ve given up on curling my hair with heat for so many years. Try rollers or no heat waves. I usually do foam rollers or rag curls
I feel you. A wet set is literally the only option for me to curl my hair. And unfortunately I suck at them so they are always messy. But I've literally had a stylist at a fancy salon curl my hair and it fell within two hours. Maybe your hair is a bit like mine were it isn't very receptive to any heat styling but if it dries in a specific shape it just clings to that
I have naturally straight hair and I'm always looking for ways to spice it up! 🥰💖
yea me 2! never too old for braids/bows/etc
Same girl
My hair has gotten super fine n thin since I got sick years ago with an autoimmune disease (it falls out bad when I'm in a flare), so most of these are no good on my hair, but I LOVE to watch these vids anyway. Both you ladies seem really lovely n are both gorgeous :)
Thanks for making comprehensive videos on hair styling for both hair lengths!
Thank you for this video! I haven’t “mastered” curling my hair with a curling iron so I always end up with just my normal “unstyled” hair (blow dried or straightened with a flat iron) when I go to formal events. This just gave me ideas on what I could possibly to do my hair. 😊
VIDEO REQUEST:
Please feature Kristin Ess’ new 2” curling iron...? I feel like it’s going to work so Anna Laura’s hair beautifully! 😍 Thank you! ❤️
The long hair version of the second hairstyle looks like an amazon warrior braid
Unfortunately that one didn’t work for me. I’m just going to do a normal ponytail instead.
I really appreciate that you show the hairstyles on both long and short hair!
Omg I've been waiting for this for so long!!!! Btw I love your vids, you taught me how to braid and basically do every hairstyle I do!!!!!
Cute cute cute!!! I have a hard time not cutting my hair again every time I watch one of your videos but other than that I love the inspo!
Anna Laura’s far away “helloooooo!” Was so cute haha 🥰
So I have just recently cut my hair and it’s about the length of yours...and extremely thick! I tried all of these hairstyles and just couldn’t make them work-I’m sure with some practice thought I can! But during the trial and error part I stumbled across a hybrid of a couple of these hairstyles that worked perfectly and looked super cute! Thank you so much for the inspiration!!
Thank you! I have combination of straight and curly identity-crisis hair so I usually just straighten with a flat iron. These are styles I'll try 😊
I have straight and layered hair so I'm always trying to figure out hairstyles that I can do with it that don't require curls cause my hair will NOT hold curls lol. I decided to grow it out cause I miss being able to do braids correctly with it lmao
it's so nice to see easy hairstyles i can learn for when i go into work ! thank youuu
Prefect! Just in time when I go into my spring semester of college!
Love following you because we have similar hair types (fine & straight) so you’ve made me realize that I can do more than just have my hair down or up in a pony/bun! Thank you! ❤️
Kayley could you please do a tutorial for Grease-hairstyles??? I've looked EVERYWHERE for "sweet Sandy"-hair, and you have such a good video on how to do her curly hair but I'd love one for her lightly curled good-girl half-updo!! Maybe a vid with all the Pink Ladies' hairstyles?
I cannot get over how pretty you two are 😭
Yaaasss, Queen Kayley!! 🙌🏻 I have been needing this from you, and I am LOVING seeing a video of multiple tutorials. They are my FAVE!
I get in hair ruts, and your videos always help me kick them to the curb!
everyday makeup tutorial? love the warm tone eyeshadow!!!
Thank you for this! My hair is stick straight. I started watching youtube videos back in 2012 to learn how to hold a curl and thats how i found you lol. Thanks again!
1) I love your purple sweater 2) I have long hair so its great seeing these styles on your sister 3) I have straight hair so its nice straight hair is getting some love (again. honestly its like wavy hair is seen as better in recent years but some of my friends spent hours straigtening theirs w/ a flat iron. but its great to see the styles on different textures)
Whenever I try to do a bun without curling my hair and pull it apart it looks like a little flat disk stuck to the back of my head that has no bulk whatsoever
Have you tried teasing it? My hair is long and thin, I don't curl it but I do tease it and it has been a gamechanger, also try to use bobby pins instead of scrunchies or elastics to hold your bun.
Camila Ávila I have tried but thank you so much for taking the time to try to help me! 😊
Where did you get those pearl pins?
Also, when I try to pull my hair back, leaving a part, I ALWAYS get weird bumps towards the end of the part, any suggestions would be much appreciated! (Am I the wonky one with that problem?)
It looks like Kayley pulls her hair back loosely, which leaves room for the hair to lay naturally. Also, once your part hits the crown (where the head starts to curve down), try smoothing everything back. You can see AnnaLaura do this when she pulls it into a low pony (11:57).
Lightly brush the bumps out, it works for me :)
Amazon has those pearl pins
I get that too sometimes, basically I think of the part as only being for the first 3 inches back from my face. Anything further back I smooth and comb straight back with a brush/fingers and I find it flows nicely for me.
Yay! I loved the rope braid the most! Please make this a series! Curling my hair is for special occasions only. It's so thick that I have to section it into 12 sections and it takes an hour to curl it! :(
Thank you so much for this! Was excited for your natural texture video bc I thought you had naturally straight hair like me and was disappointed (and jealous) to see your lovely natural waves 😭
Yay!!! Thank you for straight hair/heatless hairstyles!!!
Yay! My hair is straight and curling takes forever! I would love more of these videos!
I hear the curly girl method is supposed to bring out your natural wave...even if you think you have no wave. I'd love to see you try it!
Spaceydoodle that’s not true. it helps bring out the NATURAL curl pattern in your hair. some people have no curl pattern, so the curly girl method will do nothing for them.
@@qdillon18 yes, but, some people have wave when they think they don't. I guess I didn't explain myself well enough 😁
Thank you! I have straight hair and I got a haircut very similar to yours about a month ago... let's just say my hair is already complaining because I really like to wave it... I need to cut it some slack 😅
YAY!!! I love watching your videos! I was wondering if you could do a video on straight, medium length hairstyles for thick hair?
I love that you're giving us long, straight-haired girls a tutorial! :)
After binge watching you girls I actually am doing things with my hair again and not just putting it in a bun every day.... Thanks for the inspo!
Please do more, especially for work styles, maybe like formal work events, so just to keep out of face.
Thank you!! I love this, because my hair is super straight regardless of what I do to it. 🥰
Can you do tiny curls in your hair Kayley? I would love to see your hair so full:) I absolutely love your tutorials!
Thank you for this video, my hair is very similar to AL's very long and thick mines got some natural waves to it but can hold curls or a straight blow out, mines also a lot darker in color lol.. anyway I love watching you ive learned so much to do w my hair when I watch you and when I watch you perform on your sissy, so thank you for this vid.. I love it. Take care girlie girls.. you ladies are awesome
Amazing video as always! Love your blue jumper too 😊💕💕
Yay, I’m so excited for this, as my hair won’t hold a curl!
I’ve been waiting for this video for sooooo long because I cannot curl my hair at all and I’m always paranoid that I will burn them if I try 🙈
I love how you do the same hairstyle but for long and short hair
It would be cool if you tested the haeitage by Mindy products! Also loves the straight hair vids!
It makes me so happy that you seem so much happier now.
Loved it!!! I always look forward to my fridays with Kayley and Analaura 😘😘😘😘
I travel a lot so I don't always have access to a curling iron. This is a really useful video.👍💖
Yay straight hairstyles
That prep and prime spray from Dry Bar is so good. I use after every wash so like 3 times a week, it leaves my hair smooth and soft for days! Days Kayley!
I hope that is the product is the one you speak of.
hairstyles for curly hair plsss
I love this video. Finally🙏
I’ve been growing my hair out for the past 5 years with the intention of donating. Now that my hair is long, it’s not as healthy as I would like but I’m kind of attached to it. I’m not sure if I should do the big chop or not. :/
I think that donating hair is a wonderful gesture that can help lots of people feeling a little more confident. Just remember that hair grows back ❤
Whether you keep it nor not, just cut it :) If you keep the hair, it'll look so much better. If you let it grow without cutting, the ends can actually become so damaged that they'll just break and you'll actually lose the length. And then if you donate the hair, it won't be as good. I didn't once cut my hair for two years and my ends didn't look good. Thankfully I have thick hair.
I had so much fun cutting my hair!! I would say wait until you’re ready to let it go, THEN do the big chop so you can actually enjoy it! 🥰
I also have been growing my hair for like five years and I have donated it four weeks ago. I don't know how long your hair is now, but I have had no regrets of donating it. But that is also caused by the fact that my hair was so long, that it was starting to get really heavy and annoying sometimes. Now it is in between chin- and shoulderlengthe and I don't think I will go to long hair soon.
My advise would be: If you want to donate it, just do it and if you really do not like your hair after the cut: it is hair, it will grow back.
You should do it! I had butt length hair and in October I had it chopped to Kaylees length of hair! My hair was sooo unhealthy before and it has become so much healthy and thicker. There’s just one problem with short hair is that if you want to keep it short you have to have more regular haircuts! Also donating hair is such a nice gesture and helps other people feel better about themselves! Hope this helps! 😊
Can you do a video with your favourite hair accessories? 🥰
Can you do a video of the new Revlon hair dryer vs the pink one you have? Today I went to target and was so confused. The pink one was $35, while the new blue color is $60. The packaging on them both was the same. Please If you can do a review I was planning on purchasing one but with the new blue version i was curious was it better? For a higher a price or the exact same for still a higher price. Any help be great thanks!
Hey there! Could you please review some blow dryers? My hair texture is similar to yours, basically naturally straight just super thick. So I normally let it air dry except it takes like half a century to dry.
Also, I love all the braid hairstyles you’ve done over the years and these new short/long, straight hairstyles. Thank you for giving us new ideas!
I love all of these hairstyles so much they are so cute 😄 love you so much
Anna is looking so pretty in this video😍
Just what i needed. Love it❤
OMG THANK YOU!!!! I have needed this!!!!
Woah! So early (I should finish the semester tonight, but looks like I am gonna wait a bit longer 😂)
u can do it 😁 good luck 💕💕
Yes! Love these types of videos!
so cute! love all of these hairstyles💗
Anna Laura looks soooo pretty as a brunette
I got major Sarah Michelle Gellar vibes from Anna Laura in this vid!
do a hairtage by mindy product line review please, if you can!!
Anna Laura & Kaley are so beautiful!
KAYLEYYYY!!! Where did you get that sweater?! 😍😍😍
Probably asos lol
@@Ana-lb2cq I found a similar one there but it wasn't the same one 😭 I had the same thought lmao
Please do a video on easy hairstyles for layered hair because my layers always pop out in very noticeable ways and its not fun
could you please bring back the curly wig? i love your styles but i can't do 90% of them and it makes me sad
Thank you thank you thank you :-* more of this please :D
This came just in time for CNY XD thank you!
Straight hair hairstyles... almost any style under the sun
You are so so talented ❤️❤️
Can you do a functional workout hairstyles for short hair video?
As a newish young mom with straight, flat, fine, thin hair, I appreciate these styles so much. REQUEST: A thorough comparison of hot rollers (including the Caruso steam ones that were in the KKW x Mario photos). CZcams is lacking a current quality tutorial/review by an actual hair stylist for that blowout/hot roller look. I want to make the switch because it's less heat damage, more time efficient, and drop dead gorgeous.
Oooh, and short vs long hair is always a bonus
Love them all will defo b trying them 😍
Where is your sweater from? 😍👕
I can’t for the life of me understand how people get rope braids to stay in their hair! Whenever I try, they just entirely unravel. Is my hair just wildly more thin than thin/ slick than most people’s?!
Dorissa Claire You might be accidentally twisting and wrapping in the same direction instead of opposite directions? If you do that they will not stay. I wouldn’t think the thinness would be a factor in whether it stays or not.
Please please please, where did you get that sweater??? It is STUNNING 😍
Love the hairstyles ~ ❤️ Did you put an elastic around your hair prior to putting it in a bun in the short hair version? Thanks ~ 😄
This is awesome!!!
This video is so in time. Today's my cousin's wedding and hairstyle stress me out (where was the time i loved to style my hair ;_;)
Yaas! Thank you so much!
Love you r show 🥂
Where is your sweater from??? 😍😍😍
About time. No matter what I do my hair always falls back to straight
Can we get some curly, dark hair hairstyles. None of these show on my hair lol. Plus curly girls don’t wanna straighten our hair to do them. These are cute as hell though for when I do blow dry or straighten it.
Do I see the bobby pins from Safiya’s wedding???
Getting Serena vibes from the long hair version rope braid :)
My hair is so straight, the hair wrapped around the elastic never stays, even if I use a million of bobby pins.
sayura Mine is super fine and slippery too! I thought I just couldn’t use bobby pins/clips/etc because they all just eventually slip down my hair, but I found out that the bobby pins from Sally’s Beauty do (even the short mini ones I use to wrap hair around the elastic). A few trick I found was to back comb the hair I’m wrapping and spray it with texturizing spray to give it better grip. I also always pin into an elastic if possible and make sure the hair elastic goes through the bobby pin. Crossing two pins together helps too. The ones from Sally’s are great because I can cross multiple pins into each other in an updo or half up style and they keep their shape when I take them out, even if the two “arms” get shoved into the hair twisted. You can also spray the pins with hairspray or texturizing spray before you put them in for a little more grip.
Still haven’t figured out how to keep other hair accessories like the pretty pins and clips from slipping and falling though 😅
Me neither! I use the method she mentioned in another video, get one of those pull through hair tools. Push it up through the elastic, wrap the hair, thread the end of the wrapped piece into the tool, use the tool to pull the end down through the elastic. I find that stays way better!
Same so i use a texture spray and only shampoo
I looove rope braids but I am so bad at braiding them :)
pls pls pls do a tutorial on how to do Leia’s halo braid in Return of the Jedi!
Can you please do more high updos?
Do you have any tips on “fluffing” your own hair? It’s incredibly hard to hold a hand mirror to see the back of my head and accomplish a pretty kind of fluffing
I have curly hair why am I watching this? 😂😂
Yasss thank you !! 😻🤩💓
Hi kayley
Drybar product review video? :)
Woow super💖
The cool thing about pull-through braids is that they're basically bulletproof. I mean, those bubbles aren't going *anywhere*.
i tried doing the dutch braid and it did not happen):
Basketball!!!!!
