Anybody that likes to do their own work has to love you guys. Great information for all of us. Appreciate the work you do to help keep us informed.
These "tech" vids are the best. Sick's explanations and experience deserve to be continuously HEARD.
Great garage Block, enjoy being here.
I love the way you work. You are experts on doing what you are doing. But mostly I love the way you get along with each other. Keep up the great work, performance, friends and great vives at work. You all guys are pros.
Súper dope exhaust. Can’t wait to work with you guys really soon. Great groups of guys with a lot of experience.
Great work guys keep the great science “content” rolling. Looking forward to the d&d exhaust
I freaking love these videos man. Blockhead you got the best channel on youtube!!!
Super sick!! Love that exhaust!!
Exactly the content I’m looking for. Would be nice to see a fab28 thrown into the mix for good measure 🙌
Sheeeeesh, that sounds *GOOD!* Both sound awesome, and stoked to see more from Horsepower in the episodes. Looking forward to the giveaway of this bike! Fingers crossed that I get lucky 😆
That exhaust looks and sounds sweet!
Shop lookin good man. I hope I can visit next spring 🤙🏻
This fucking motorcycle shop is god damn AMAZING! They did an amazing job on my 2023 HD ST. Wow, she's a beast! Love her and Chris is one solid dude!
Hell Yea BlockHead & Chris really enjoyed this video. Extremely well put together. I mean when you first cranked the HP exhaust, 😍Nasty.
BlockHead if you have a moment how well do you think the Vance & Hines Hi-Oput RR numbers could be ? Or is it to many variables to tell?
Interesting test; my gut instinct says that the main difference in power was the Thrashin system being held back by the dogball resonator. It's my understanding that the resonator gets rid of the classic empty pipe "rooga rooga/hub blub blub" sound upon deceleration that your new setup now has. 🤜
Another great video thanks guy's.
Like Chris said numbers are fun to talk about, but if the usable power comes in low and climbs steady, it feels faster even if your giving up a few HP, and feeling power throughout the gears is tits compared to a 3500 4500rpm high hp number, it must be the 42 years of experience...D&D makes some nice exhaust also.
would be curious about the Trask and Fab28 pipes as well, great vid!!!
awesome video as always , your science research is pretty cool even though it gives you guys a reason to FK off afterwards it's a blessing 👍
Really like the exhaust pipe shootout HPi awesome looking and performing pipes !!!!
Dude I would love this bike in my garage. I bought a 2020 fatboy with the M8 but I shoukdve bought the lowrider st. Absolutely love this bike. Thanks for the video!!
Beautiful pipes thanks for the info.
Riding, motor cycle life~ 🌞
If you raise your hand, 👋, it's even more nice to meet you. It's safer. It's more honest.
Always be happy with you.👏👏
Iv'e got the mid length stainless steel 2 in one Bassani on my 2020 SGS and it's awesome.
Sick exhaust! I'd say keep it on the bike
If it's not for science, is it even worth doing? I look forward to future science videos! Great vid, keep up the great work; it's thanks to your channel that i've settled on picking up a Harley for my next bike, and these science videos have really helped educate me on the best parts to look at.
I’m actually anxious to see the D&D pipe numbers. I so appreciate the science research your doing 😁.
I'll second that they are great.
IMO, DND does some great pipes for half the cost of HPI‼️🤣
Would absolutely love to see a D&D fat cat and the new super bike pipe from Bassani!
I would like to see a fab28 pipe as well.
Same. I’m interested in seeing the numbers on the Ft. Worth, TX based D&D as well.
I'm in California and I'm amazed at how far the grumble is with this pipe it pumps louder than I thought it would be allowed to
I much prefer the black exhaust look on that bike. I still loved the video and thanks for sharing!
Love to see you do a bassani road rage 3 aswell 👌
Can't wait to see the D&D video, just hoping it's of their bobcat 2 into 1
Great video. Do you recommend this pipe above all the alternatives out there for performance?? Do they require a spacer for the right side controls?
That HPI sounds siiiiiiiick.
That sounds perfect
Thanks for the great video. I'm buying an ST soon, so I'm trying to decide on the right pipe. Did you measure the HP/torque on the stock bike? How do the HPi/Thrasher numbers compare to stock?
Nice looking Harley Davidson I love it
I thought that was shade tree there for a moment when you turned the camera I wasn't ready 🤣
I’ve got the cobra 2-1 sounds pretty good and the added horses is noticeable
I'm looking forward to the D&D pulls. I'm also interested in the Sawicki. Thanks boyz!
That's 2 for the Sawicki!
@@markclay4598 I’ve got the Sawiki shorty on my bike and it’s freaking awesome! Side note: my bike isn’t a Harley nor an import. I’ve got a couple videos of it on my channel so far
Very nice piece of equipment. Looks great, sounds great, creates some extra HP at a premium price. I like that. As far as the O2 sensor goes, can’t the shop install a bung at the desired location and simply leave the poorly placed one plugged?
What about a thunderheader? I love the sound and performance on my old evo.
Patiently awaiting the follow up
Dunno if you’re aware. But Thrashin have a tailpipe without the dog balls. If this comparison should have made any sense you should have compared similar baffles. Actually it’s amazing how close the dog balls Thrashin version is to the HP one.
Anyways. Love your shit! Keep at it 🤙🏼
I just put a Vance&Hines upsweep on my 2022 Fxlrs. Have you guys ever had a build with the upsweep? Do they make power? It’s not a high dollar piece but it seems too be very quality. I love the sound it stands alone compared to what everyone else is throwing on there lowriders
Love the Thrashin pipe but the HPI does look damn good on the ST
Black thrashing pipe looks way sick too man, stainless is getting worn out.....everyone is using them
Happy Thanksgiving guys
That Harley Davidson Low Rider ST is awesome , BADASS looking bike.
It’s crazy to see the color of the pipe change that fast. @12:40
How do the other 2 into 1s compare to the tbr turn out? I really like the tbr you got on yours.
The only problem I see with HPI is the lead time. They're like 16-20 weeks out. I think they are the best but damn 16-20 week wait and +$300 for 3 or 4 horsepower? Is it worth it? Your call.
On a 2020 Heritage with a 468 cam I've gotten good results with Rinehart 2,-1 110/125
I knew it! Wonder if the differentiator in numbers is the baffles?
Honestly. I did buy the heck out of the motorcycle things shirt. On site… literally on sight
That pipe sounds and performs like premium. Is the TAB slip on muffler bang for the buck? any ideas would be helpful.
Definitely like the look of the HPi pipe on the bike better then the thrashin.
Do you guys have any comparisons or dyno tunes with a thunderheader exhaust on the M8's.
Could you do an exhaust shootout on the SP Concepts big bore exhaust as well?
Baffles me how expensive headers are for bikes…… flat out ridiculous compared to cars
Love my bike, but the quest for power out of these air cooled HD’s is a money grab.
@@freebehindbars8654 I learn new things about my bike every day! Had no clue the radiator was on,y for aesthetics.
Yes. For sure. But car ones rarely get seen. So they have to take extra care making them look good
No pun intended 🤣🤣
@@Chumbucketsecret Who told you that? The radiator on M8’s cools oil that goes to the heads.
Can you guys please do some twin cam stuff ? I exhaust shoot out / cams etc … I want the Block Head opinion and not all of us can afford a new bike ! Thanks Fellas
I would like to see Tab performance Zombie Slipons on the dyno. Im curious how much better the $1800 pipe is
Cam and exhaust shoot out!! Please for Science!! I would love to know what Woods cam 22xe vs 22xd does?!! Love the HPI sounds a lot better
For sub 2 grand for a pipe , it better perform..., so in other words their both great exhausts for the m8, but stupid expensive...I'll stick with my bassani stainless 2 into 1. Great video tho guys, love what you all are doing.
D&D bobcat vs Bassani road rage mid length shootout? For science… obviously
Second that
Great content as usual, but ill stick to my bassarni stage three!!!! just saying..:)
What do you think of adding torque cones?
I am late on this one but the bassani super bike pipe would be fun to see as well
Can y’all do a review of the Triumph Bonneville Bobbers. Recently discovered Thornton Hundred and their amazing work on those classic bikes. Curious what y’all’s opinions of them are.
I’m thinking about the woods 22xe cam for mine .. haven’t decided yet on exhaust
Stealth pipes...👌🤙... build quality is exceptional...and a lot cheaper than most..
Let’s not
Forget thunder header .
Good to see your face bro
I'd like to see the Dyno results for the new Bassani 2:1 SuperBike System. Drag part# 1800-2556
For sure. I just put that pipe on mine.
How the heck did you guys get the black Thrashin'? They only show stainless on their website.
Is there a plan in the future to do the S&S Superstreet? I would love to see how it compares to the rest with a proper tune.
Thunderheader over all!
I've been thinking about getting on the waiting(drooling) list to order an HPi pipe for my Lowrider ST. But, because the wait was so long, I jumped on a smoking deal for a new Bassani 2into1 (Blem) pipe. I'd be interested in seeing the numbers for it(Bassani), in comparison to the D&D (and HPi/Thrashin). The Bassani is pretty popular pipe and I think you should include it in the shootout.
Thrashin pipes are made by bassani
I had a slight feeling about this outcome, but it’s good to be validated. Personally, I think the D&D is going to beat all of them, but I’m not a fan of the looks. 🤷🏽♂️
you should give stealth pipes a try as well. theyre made in florida
I would like to see how the s&s super street with cat compairs to it , i just got it but i cant find any thing on line
How warm does that HPI exhaust get without heat shields? I have the Fuel Moto stainless without heat shields and gets quite hot! Wondering if it even makes a difference at all. Thanks.
I like the looks of the Trashin pipe better, but the HPI sounds better.
Where did the term "Dog Balls" come from? Great content. New Sub. Bell rung.
You should get a decibel meter for the dyno room when doing comparisons.
In general, the exhaust system is designed to minimize back pressure. At the same time, the pipe diameter and length are carefully balanced with the engine performance. This is done to generate the right gas flow rate that assists in engine scavenging.Basically, back pressure is a function of the length and diameter of the exhaust system. While reducing back pressure is necessary, you also want the exhaust gases to have a minimum velocity.
When the exhaust valve opens a high-speed positive pressure wave exits the cylinder and drags the exhaust gases with it. This wave travels at a certain velocity, they leave a low-pressure zone behind them.
The low pressure helps in creating a suction effect. As a result, evacuating the engine chamber from the burnt gases gets easier. The entire process is termed inertial scavenging.
Not back pressure, boomer.
@@FRWD_FXLRSTelaborate
Could you guys test a sawicki on the ST?
I’ve been trying to find a good 2 into 1 exhaust for my 2003 Sportster xl 883. I keep finding ones for anything but the xl883
Hey Blockhead. I have a question for your tech. I’m looking into the screaming eagle stage 4 upgrade for my 2020 street glide standard. It’s the 107 going to a 128. My question is how big of a cam can this kit handle cause it looks like the cam the kit comes with leaves a lot on the table.
Tucker Speed 🤙🏼
Did you compare the stock headers with a decent slip on as well... i've read the torque numbers might be similar to a 2 into 1
I’d like to see a shootout between an expensive exhaust and a lowest price exhaust.
or a hi low build like donut media
Ya I have a el diablo from cobra. It under 700.
Deffinetly better than stock. Even with a canned tune from fuelmoto.
Also Better than s&e slip on super trap and duals with and without d.k torque inserts.
I did have to fatten it up at 0% trottle to get rid of decel pop thoe.
Ide be curious to see it vs a stealth or the 2 they are testing. But... I also have a twin cam
What do you guys think of the thunder max tuner??
Nice!
What you guys think about the thunder header pipes?
If enough people pay in advance for an upgrade, Harley will make them.
Personally I think some of the markup is because other cat delete options are also expensive and don’t provide as much of a performance upgrade. Just an idea, but HD didn’t invent that game.
But I’m glad my new bike is a turn of the century Triumph triple liter bike. Faster than you think for reasons I think I will take to the strip. But stock quarter is 11 flat. And no electric nannies. I need to feel my bike. And I feel the need…but that HPI setup sounds really good.
Impressive
Best exhaust is relative. I will always choose to leave a little horsepower and torque on the table for the sound that motivates me to ride.
Can’t beat HPI as far as build quality and how light they are. They make great power too. I love the 3 piece construction. You can pull the pipe off to clean it in less than 10 minutes. No one touches them in quality.
Check out Stealth exhaust pipes. Kruesi originals channel.. look at the build playlist.
BAMF pipes 💯
@@ianloyd6384 half of them the mufflers droop downwards
Did Chris leave the mapping the same for both pipes? That HPI is 🔥
No, each pipe was tuned
All I want is a header that allows me to have the clearance needed for wide band sensors, after installing a thunder max.
@Blockead Check out Stealth exhaust pipes. Give a look @Kruesi originals channel.. look at the build playlists.
BAMF pipes too 💯
anyone have any experience with the Rinehart 2 into 1 exhausts? not the slip ons. I'm trying to find a balance of performance, budget and nothing too loud
