Zermatt Switzerland Day 1 of our Matterhorn to Mont Blanc Adventure

In this video, Dean Cardinale starts our trek through the European Alps on our Matterhorn to the Mont Blanc Adventure. We are in Zermatt Switzerland for two nights, an iconic and auto free village. Today we have a spectacular day hiking high above Zermatt. We start by taking a fanicular lift up, and then a gondola lift to start our hike. We pass by 5 beautiful alpine lakes with stunning views of the Matterhorn all along the way. The group enjoys lunch at a great mountain hutt before continuing on the hike and riding the lift back down and into Zermatt Village. There is time to explore Zermatt and make a visit to the Alpine Museum where they learn the story of the first ascent of the Matterhorn. What a great start to our adventure trekking, hiking and exploring Switzerland, Italy and France with World Wide Trekking.
