  • A variation of a loop I've done many times some of which I've not done for a few years. It is surprising how many trails have been lost to nature with many many trees having fallen, some have been cleared most have not even on major forest roads which shows you the scale of devastation from the various storms which has to be said must be getting more intense and frequent. I've been riding in and around Grizedale for probably 20 years and not seen anything to this extent
We still managed to give or take do the intended loop with some slight detours, using different trails, climbing over and ducking under fallen trees here and there. These trails are just great fun to blast along at silly speeds with an element of risk to keep the adrenaline pumping đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«
Out with Mark who had a bit of range anxiety going on towards the end of the ride on his ebike but managed to get back with a few percent left for good measure 👌

Looks like a good route. Done a fair few bits on the Bogle Cragg (?) side of Grizedale years back but no idea where they were now!

Grizedale is a forever evolving network of trails, they come and go mainly due to storm damage and trails are either rerouted or gone forever due nature claiming back its landscape. Still a good place to go for a days riding 👍

hopefully we'll be able to ride Grizedale.
do you use starva so I can use the gpx to follow the route...or even better guide 5/6 of us around your local trails..would be great. 👌

@@paulmaxey73 Cheers for the comment, you can find me on Strava on the channel name and don't mind showing you around but I'm away in March until 13th so depends when your visit is. On top of that I only tend to ride on a Sunday so if that fits we can make an arrangement đŸ€·â€â™‚
