- Here's the review of the OLTO-8 Infinity I. This is a very surprising and interestingly unique watch, inspired by motor racing.

Must admit the green would be my choice....fun watch, lazy day dial when accuracy isn't important....I like it very much....🏴⌚🏴⌚
It's just a fun (as you say) interesting piece isn't it?
Always good to see something other than subbie homages, like the lume, it does have a bit of a sundial on the wrist effect but then so do big g shocks
I always try to mix things up a bit.
I thought it was more of a UFO than a sundial myself 😉 That being said, it doesn't wear as big as you'd think though does it?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Sorry, the subbie comment was a general one not aimed at your content, it certainly wear’s better than the measurements would suggest, it all about the l2l!
@@gorillasinthewrist I know yeah. No need to apologise.
Absolutely. It's the most important measurement by far.
For a watch that is very abstract, I think it's really good looking!
So do I mate. It really did surprise me.
A bit on the pricey side,, nothing too crazy though, I do like it. A bit like the clever (Urwerk inspired) watches that Xeric makes, which I like as well.
I don't think I'm familiar with those. I'll have to have a look.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR They're pretty cool. Just One More Watch reviewed some here on CZcams!
What a great design. I could definitely see this on my wrist. I also appreciate that this watch isn't a clone of a clone a clone. Dig it! Keep bringing these unique pieces. Good work, Sir!
Cheers!
I always like to check out some unique and different watches, especially when it comes to microbrands. So, I'm glad you're enjoying those types of watch reviews.
My collection is still new and small enough that I haven’t ventured out to “unique” watches. There are several more traditional looking watches I want, but I genuinely like it. Thanks for the great review.
How long have you been collecting?
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Only since end of last year. And I have set a pretty strict budget for myself so I only purchase a watch every couple months. I can afford more, but I know myself and if I don’t, I won’t stay married very long. Ha!
@@adk7962 I wish I'd had that kind of will power. I did find another solution though... Start a CZcams channel 😉
Good morning James.
What a crazy watch, it’s up there with Ciga Design. I love this watch but wouldn’t buy one because it would seldom get wrist time. I like the way the lugs hide the size of the dial, and love the overall look of the piece. Never mind the lume, this isn’t the type of watch that you’ll look at in the dark, you’ll be showing it off in maximum light and to the maximum number of people.
Another great video, well researched and presented.
Good morning mate.
Yeah it reminded me of the CIGA Design Blue Planet case.
Thanks, I try my best to make sure to include all the information you'd need.
Once the hands reach the right-most part of the numbered section (60 or “6” minutes and 12 on the hours), they disappear under the dial and ‘new’ hands appear back at the beginning left-most numbers. Basically this isn’t a retrograde movement, so this method is understandable.
However this will definitely affect the usefulness of any Lume on the hands - regardless of how good the lume application and longevity. Because the ‘new’ hands will have been hidden under the dial and won’t have been exposed to UV/light at all.
Imagine the hands are fully charged up at 11.55 before bed… They’ll glow for 5 minutes until they disappear off the dial, and the newly exposed hands will have no Lume charge at all.
That's a good point actually.
For that price I'm sure I'd buy something I would wear more frequently Although it is executed very well Just not enough on offer for me to pull the trigger and be happy with the purchase Anyways Thanks for sharing another great review my friend 👍
I totally get that. Thanks for watching anyway.
Not really my style, but still an interesting and very well made watch!
Thanks for sharing, James.
It certainly won't be to everyone's taste, that's for sure. But as you said, it's really well made and definitely interesting too.
46mm is a bit ....
And wish it was a miyota 9k series inside :/
Yeah it is, but the short lug to lug helps a lot.
That would have been nice.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR well, practically l2l is also at 46mm as is the case size. Eventho mesured is less, it matters how it appears on wrist. :/
That height also doesn't help at that :(
wonder how it'd look with a mesh bracelet.
