Grid line construction for logos is just something I could never understand and get a grasp at, would love to see some more of an explanation or way of thinking to try and attempt it myself properly.

I learned a lot from both designers and preferred their re-design. What I liked about Mark's version was how the logo formed "B" and "C", the first letters of "Be Curious", I could see the curves of both characters.
I really enjoyed Hadeel's process and how she didn't limit herself to just redesigning the logo, but she created an identity for the coffee shop. She set a great example. Mindmapping is effective, I also do that when working on a project so it was good to watch someone else use that method.
Thanks for sharing the video and great work from all designers (including the originals).
I would love to learn more about griding logos and applying the golden ratio.

I like the both logos, so great job! We could not see the whole process of the first logo, I mean in the usage . I personally love the Hadeel's approach. She goes to details and goes beyond in research and also the presentation does a lot for a client. But I must say the original logo was pretty well too :). Great video!

First time watching this type of video and it does help seeing people's process. One thing that I learned today is how to use the golden ratio for proportions. When Hadeel showed how she used it to space out the logo.....AMAZING! I wished Marcus could of explain more about using the grid and the circles as he was creating his version of the logo.

Regarding the first logo, I like the re-do logo, but I think the original is better. It's clean and legible and interesting. If there was negative space around the border for the question mark where it intersects with the B then it'd be fine in straight black and white.

I really like the improvements that Marcus made. The logo feels more dynamic & fun but it still feels sturdy & well balanced because of the careful grid work that he did. I also love the typeface he choose. I’m so impressed & cant wait to watch this over again 😹

Just like there is directors commentary in filmmaking, you guys have developed designer's commentary. Its really amazing to understand the process of different designers all-over the world and discussion over them. It is the best way to learn.

What a great project by both designers!
In germany the question mark has two different variants. One that's known to everyone (?) and the second one is a reversed S and a dot under it. So for me there was no problem to see the question mark in the after logo, but I can imagine that if you never used the second question mark that you would have problems seeing it.
Btw Hadeel's redesign was really amazing.

I think Marcus' mark was underappreciated here. Personally, I think it's awesome. The question mark comes out way more than in the original. I actually thought it was a "P" at first when I saw that one, but he solved it beautifully. Plus, the typeface he used is killer.

If you have notification problem in windows 10 you could click focus assistant option in the right bottom corner and change it to priority only or alarm only, hope it will help :D
Love the new Sultan logo, it's more storytelling, great way of thinking and choosing the serif font is way better approach, great suggestion.
