Fun fact: The reason why the fake one has more stuff is so, when you look at it face value, it *seems* better, but when you get down to the actual hardware and software it falls off hard.

Yeah, it probably has BT 4.0 instead of 5.0+, doesn't pick up on nearly as many cell tower frequencies, probably doesn't support WPA3 NOR 5Ghz WiFi... I could go on.
Open box on 3bay is the best way to go. Just get a 2 gen old Galaxy that's open box (it's brand new, just left over stock) and you get a $1400 for $250 just because it's 2 years old.

eWaste to be honest. I'd rather get the stuff I actually want instead of the crap bundled.
Especially when you have companies like Apple releasing the 'iPhone X' with a 5 watt charger for a phone that can charge at 18 watts.
Sadly not including accessories is just for increasing profit margins rather than reducing ewaste or the price as the prices are higher than ever.

Seeing a couple comments saying that people were mildly intested in them, so I thought I would do my due diligence and warn folk.
These phones often come preloaded with malware, have a battery life of 2 hours before dying and break within the span of the first few months. If that.
And even when they do "work", they typically run on old, reused low end SoCs from a decade ago. They were barely usable back then, and much less so now.
This severely limits what you can actually do with the phone, even if they weren't a significant security risk to begin with.
Word of advice, if you are actually thinking of getting one of these, don't. These fake phones are basically manufactured to be e-waste.
True. But they can be ideal for kids. They want a phone? But you know damm well that spending 1200$ on something they'd break within 2 days is not worth it? 70$ is what you're looking for. You're seriously broke but need a cellphone in order to have a phone number and get a job? 70$ is ideal. I see some advantages. And my family is very poor. With 70$ , I could be sure that I could call my mom or 911 because we can't have a phone number with a tablet. The phone is technically convient but also inconvenient.
@@fluffygoatzie3578I don't know much about American market, but honestly if I had to give a kid cheap phones, the best way is to get them 2nd handed phones. There's a little bit of digging involved but it's well worth the effort.
I'm not talking about those pricey but well built last year techs household brand names, nor the shady e-waste Welcome brands junk stuffs. Japanese "waste" phone is the way to go.
Actually using one right now, it's from a well known brand Sharp, so at least you know it won't be dead in a couple of weeks and its been a trooper for 2 years of usage in my case considering the price I got was around 53$ converted from my national currency.
For some reason, Japanese really don't like their local brand phones and would rather goes for Apple/Samsung, despite their locals really give respectable spec and fair price for their phones. And thus the "waste" got imported to other countries at extremely tempting price point.
Do mind those are quite old by today standard but still enough to satisfy simple task any kids would demand. All in all, it's a solid choice for cheap replacement phones.

I gotta admit, the fake one really is taking a small profit margin compared to samsung (not to mention they have a charger, earphones and screen protector in the box)
U can't run both speed tests at the same time. One will "steal" all the bandwidth. When you run a speed tests, the router allocates most of the bandwidth to u, so other devices running a speed test will get a much lower score than if u weren't running it on the first device. Next time, run them one after another, not at the same time.

Considering Apple's long term OS support of at least 5 years, it's actuallu cheaper than Samsung, assuming both phones costs $2,000 ÷ 5 = $400/year vs $2,000 ÷ 4 = $500
So at minimum with iPhones, you'd save yourself at extra year and $100, but most newer iPhones get OS support for 7 years

I paid 1700€ for my S23U ( close to $1800), i cant recommend buying +1000€ phones but then again its the most important device i own, just owning a car for a year (without including the price of the car and fuel) would be close to what i paid for my phone, since i dont "need" a car the phone is actually a better use for my money...

The speed of the fake phone's interface is more than likely where the settings for the scroll/swipe animation speed have been modified, making it look faster. It can be done on just about every Android phone these days, including a lot of the fake phones.
