They have stopped selling bits of that meteor that's probably why it's discontinued.

I received a call from the AD for a GMT master II white gold/meteorite dial. Now I have four days to answers.. really a beautiful piece, but too expensive 🤔

RRP $42.9, was that what the AD was going to let you have it for? Lowest I've seen is $50k used and most are going for close to $60k. I'll buy it!
I got the call and picked one up, my favorite watch stunning. I have friends with much higher spends that have been waiting years for the meteorite.
Flew through LHR and the guy there said they only had 1 in the 4 years and Rolex HQ sent it for an ambassador to pick up.
You have got to have $43K handy to just be able to drop though so limited client base.

They will probably come down a little while the new reference takes the spotlight, then after a while should balance back out again.

Yes but it’s not about what it’s “worth”. I love this piece and it’s superb imo. I would wear this as a daily. I tried it on today and it truly is an amazing piece. It has an amazing wrist presence, robust too plus it looks amazing. For me the GMT Master. 2 is my second favourite Rolex (only to the deep sea specifically the James Cameron), especially the Pepsi so I guess I’m biased lol. Stick a blue dial on it with a white gold bracelet and, for me anyway, you have a really amazing watch.
Can get it for between 30k - 32k from watch finders. The meteorite is 47k….
You are absolutely right there it is such a stunning timepiece. When it is on the wrist you know you are wearing something really special!

What is a good price on the grey market for the GMT Pepsi meteorite?
I would say a fair price is late 40’s -£50k

Funny, the meteorite GMT is one of like two watches I actually want from Rolex. If there’s no chance of getting one, I don’t really see the point in spending money on the others

@@thehonestwatchdealer realistically, how much over RPP should you spend for a meteorite GMT if you just have to have one? My thoughts are that there’s a much narrower market for gold sports watches than steel, and with the market trending down, that the demand might be down for that watch as well. At the same time, it is a meteorite dial, so that makes it pretty special. In the US, I’m seeing the blue dials trading at or below RRP but the Meteorites at $10k-15k over. RRP here is about $42-43k. My gut tells me I’d be comfortable at like $5k over, so $47-48k. I just don’t know what’s realistic. There can’t be *that* many people chasing a gold GMT near $50k, can there?
Unfortunately the meteorite dial does command a hefty premium, so the prices you are seeing are around that at the moment.@@david05111

I was recently offered the blue dial one and I didn't go for it when you can get it U$5,000 under. I did ask for the meteorite one and as expected it was futile. Lol.

Look I'm sure you can offer some more insight than just comparing current MSRP vs market price. Why not tell us why the blue Pepsi is not a good buy for the medium to long term. It trades right around retail and you're taking your cut, so please advise why it's not a good buy from an AD? Its a GMT, it's a Pepsi, it's a blue dial, it was over retail even pre pandemic and only thing that slowed it down was the SS oyster coming out.
Disagree man! Bought the blue by luck for 41.000€ and the market for thqt rare watch is 44.000€ !!! Its gold man! Super rare.
