I was going to take this to my kids’ birthday party tomorrow, expecting about 25 kids. I’m so grateful for your review saving me the time and potential embarrassment. I’m glad I have the machine and your demo, but I think it’ll better be used for small sleepover parties. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

My idea is make it ahead of time. Put it in the plastic bags. We have 10 grand kids that way it ready . It's saves on rushing for the smaller kids. Thanks for your review Blessings

Excellent review. I have the same exact thing as a gift from my mother. i tried using it on my daughter's birthday but had trouble using it, until frustration came and then anger then i almost threw it out. good thing my wife told me to try again next time. will be patient next time i use it again.

Great video. My son wanted cotton candy for his party, too. I assigned another mom to make the candy while the party was going on. She had 15 cones ready and each kid got one. You're right, it's a slow process. 😘

I really like mine. I’ve been watching reviews on CZcams today while I experiment with our machine and it seems I have a different experience. I’ve skipped the flossing sugar and opted to use hard candies. Contrary to other reviews (even the users manual) I’ve found I can fit about 4-5 candies in there (lifesavers work best), and it makes a huge poof, or I can swap out cones a couple times and get about 3 good sized “servings”.
I’ve tried peppermint (which is a weird flavor of cotton candy, but if you want something that melts fast into hot cocoa, it’s really good), root beer barrels, butterscotch discs, and lifesavers.
I want to use it to make cotton candy for my kids birthday party, but agree the machine isn’t made for that kind of use. I’ll probably make it ahead of time and bag it. It’ll be a long process!

I buy the nostalgia one and I have 4 kids They were so happy when we started doing the first one, but it takes a long time, the fourth child when it was his turn, he didn't even remember that we was making the cotton candy, they finish it in 30 seconds and it took like 7 minutes to do each + My hand was already hurting, when the last one ends they started to tell me if I can do another one and I told them that I cant because my hand was too tired but if they want they can do it

I never had that much luck with cotton candy sugar on mine but what works well is regular cane sugar, cinnamon candy, jolly ranchers, butterscotch, rootbeer hard candy but you would have to blend them up in a blender like a ninja blender or coffee grinder something that will break it down to a powder it will make more and go faster with those types of candy
