They could only use soda made with cane sugar, so Mexican coke, throwback mtn dew and Dr Pepper, and probably more boutique sodas. Corn syrup won’t crystallize so any soda with corn syrup won’t work.

Try putting Fun Dip or some other type of powdered candy like Pixy Stix into the cotton candy machine

Professionally made cotton candy is a lifelong favorite of mine. Love the huge, artsy cones.
Tropical Fruit Punch Kool-Aid is my favorite. It definitely makes fabulous malts and milk shakes when blended with high quality ice creams, tropical fruit juices and Italian soda syrups.
Kool-Aid also does a great job beefing up flavors and colors in delicious molded Jell-O salads. We often dissolve it in ginger ale, 7-Up, Sprite or juices and syrups canned fruits are packed in.

Thats not going to work at all. It will burn. Salt and sugar are not the same. Salt does not melt. In order for it to work. The salt needs to melt

My own experimentation with trying to make various flavors of cotton candy have shown that rather than just dumping random powders into the machine, mix them with sugar/floss mix. Some playing with ratios will let you know what works best.
You should try CRYSTAL LIGHT PACKETS! try the regular as well as the lite version to see if there is a difference in taste and texture
Reduce mountain dew to a solid and grind it into a powder for cotton candy!!! Please!

I think its possible to make honey cotton candy... Honey can be diluted in water, try mixing it with something else that makes cotton candy well (e.g. original cotton candy sugar, cane sugar or demorara sugar).. I think mixing the 2 will change the texture and consistency of the honey and maybe boiling or freeze drying the water off you could make cotton candy with it
For the coffee they should have ground up a bit of instant coffee and mixed it with sugar (possibly with melted-sugar, or syrup then dehydrate)

I saw the sliced instead of the cider (was that why you made this comment)
The reason why the Jell-O work sora well was because of the fact that gelatin is the substance that can be melted so wanted to mix with corn starch or sugar in that instance whenever you put it in the cotton candy machine the gelatin will start to melt along with the sugar creating the streets and it works faster that’s why you were getting so much
Well if your ever plan on doing a Halloween haunted house theme, all you have to do for the cob webs is put a Cotten candy machine in the middle of the room, put in the sugar (whatever spreads around the room the best) and BAM! Let the Cotten candy explosion happen lol XD
