- I have been looking at Gradual Fake Tanning products with a view to my “pre holiday tan” in 2 weeks time. I have tried many Gradual Tanning products over the years and some are head and shoulders above all others.
40 years ago St Tropez Tan was launched and it had us hooked from the get-go. There was nothing like it and the tan was beautiful.
These days there is huge competition for the tanning market as we shy away from the sun and look for a good alternative.
For me “Gradual Tanning” is the better and more forgiving alternative to the sun and to Fake Tans.
These are my choices and are by no means comprehensive with many alternative options available to us, from affordably priced to very eye-watering expensive.

I am 48 now and my skin looks transparent which I don’t like. I used the Sally Henson & my legs looked healthy like they did in my 20’s!! I've been looking at gradual tans and bamboozled with all the choices so this is very helpful. I saw over on the channel Joseph Makes Skincare, he recently made a fake tan lotion for about £3. Might get brave enough to give that a go too.

👍🤗I have found that the lightweight gradual tanning lotions tend not to stain, however most will be stain free if left to dry for 10 mins or so. St Tropez watermelon is probably my favourite. 🥰

Is the one I use, and I love it, doena leave that special weird smell, but I found out that after shower stains a bit . Thanks a lot for answering me so quickly, and kindly xx
