    Rich shows you "less is more" when it comes to using self-tanning cream. That goes for when not only putting it on your body, buy your face as well. Men also need to find the right style of tanning cream that works best with their specific skin tone. The wrong style of cream not only can make them look orange, but it can also start to stink and stain your clothes.
    Rich gives you an exact idea of how he puts self-tanning on throughout his entire body and face. He shows you how to prevent looking over-tanned and also how to take your time when building up your tan. Too many people put too much cream on too fast and it starts to immediately look fake. Or even worse you start to look like an orange. Rich also shows you how to properly clean yourself along with how you have to be consistent when using tanning creams. Last but not least he shows you his favorite self-tanning creams for his body and face. Which is JERGENS NATURAL GLOW - DAILY MOISTURIZER.

    THANKYOU. I used to use these (which by the way are freakin awesome) back in 2016-2019. I'm REALLY pale, if my skin tone had a name it would be "garlic allergy". I do NOT tan, i used to work outside for 2 years, 8 hours a day, and the darkest I got was the equivalent to using the light jergens once. Since I can't tan, I started trying these out and they legitimately were life changing. Now, instead of destroying my skin or getting sun burnt/skin cancer, I did very subtle coats of it and it looked really natural and just helped make my overall skin "appear" healthier (although hilariously enough, tanning is actually incredibly damaging). Ya, I also would highly recommend this, the only thing is making sure you wash your hands really good at the end. i tried so many times to apply a very light tan to the top of my hands, and it was just way too difficult for me for some reason

      Thank you for checking it out. Hey if you'd like you can buy and use disposable medical gloves. They are cheap. I don't like using gloves because I used to travel a lot and didn't want to carry them around. I also don't lke the feeling. BUT they work well. I should have mentioned that in the video but forgot. Then when you take the gloves off put the cream on the top of hand and rub the cream in. Don't let anything touch the palms of your hand.

      Thanks for the comment. It dries relatively quickly. What I would recommend is doing at night after you shower and before you go to bed. Let it soke in all night. You can also put it on in the morning after you shower but it may stain your clothes. When you put it on at night and then shower in the morning is usually doesn't stain that much.

      I understand. The Jergens cream worked best for me. If that doesn't work for you there are many other brands. Don't put too much on at first. But if you shower at least twice a day, workout, or swim a lot of it is going to wash off daily. Just make sure you are consistent. I also like putting it on at night so it soaks into my skin for a longer period of time. Hope that helps.

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před 2 lety +2

      @@allenbro9900 Once you get the color you want you definitely want to maintain it. But it may vary on how much to put or not throughout the week. If you're in the water a lot or taking a lot of showers it may wash off more quickly. If not then the cream will last longer. Keep an eye on it. Also, some spots may fade quicker so all you have to do is add cream to those specific areas. Go out and get some sun outside as well. They will help the overall tan look more natural. It will also get you some additional Vitamin D. I hope this helps.

    This stuff makes every fully bald guy (better to be bald then balding) turn into Yule Brenner playing the King and I. Love it.❓I always read that you're not supposed to apply near your eyes because DHA in the mucous membranes can possibly mutate cells i.e.cancer. Does that mean not to put on eyelids? what is the "area around eyes" exactly. Thx

      Also want to mention that I love the new paraben-free option. Also, according to a study women who looked at pictures of fully bald men were considered hotter than guys with hair. BUT guys who are balding meaning they had hair on the sides or bald patches were considered less attractive than men with hair.

    New to tanning here, and I am dying trying to find a few simple questions, if anyone can help me. I’m a 28 year old male of Irish descendants , aka…. I’m pale AF… i’m going to start using the tanning bed at my local gym. Here are my main questions : do I put it on my face and genitals? I keep seeing reviews about men increasing their testosterone by “suntanning” their genitals , so another questions, would using a tanning bed be close or the same thing as doing this in a tanning bed? Thanks !!

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for the question. If I were you I would reach aesthetician and ask them these questions. Also, reach out to your doctor. I'll be honest I quit tanning beds around 30 years ago. I used to love them when I was a teenager in the 80's living in Chicago. My cousin who was a Model started telling me how harm they were doing to my skin. I also started noticing people who's used tanning beds looked dehydrated, red, and leathered. My father to this day still has a tanning bed in his house and I don't use it. I am sure they have different bulbs that are not as damaging as back then, but I still don't like the concept of burning my skin to look tan. I also don't like tanning beds because you don't get a balanced tan. The tan also comes out unbalanced. Some parts get a lot tanner than others. If you are going to go this route I would 100% protect your face. Put a towel or something over it. Just use a simple face tanning cream to keep the tan balanced. Instead of tanning bed you may also consider getting a spray tan. Just don't over do it. I personally don't use tanning beds or Spray tans because I believe you have to use them too much to be consistent. It also takes a lot of time and money as well. Hope this helps.

    What do you do if you have a thin, patchy beard? When I rub it in, the beard turns orange. If I leave the beard alone, then there are visible pale patches.

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, a lot of these creams turn facial hair orange. Especially if the color hair is lighter colored. Truthfully I avoid the hair on my face altogether. I know it's hard if it's patchy but you don't have much of a choice. Another option is testing out different style facial tanning creams. There's a lot of them believe it or not. A lot are sold where they sell women's makeup. Or going with a facial tanner that is lighter and not so strong. You may also try different tanning body creams. Not just the facials one. There might be one that doesn't turn your beard orange. You just got to find it. Thanks for the comment.

    10:56"I hope I don't have to tell you how to put lotion on your body"? DO!
    Many men have NEVER used body lotion before. I try, and what the heck am I supposed to do about my hairy arms? The lotion sticks in the hairs! What do you do about that?Chest, too. And legs? Jeez.
    Then the lotion dries and I have sticky nasty matted hair all over me. And it smells, too. Are you hairless? Or shave your arms, legs and chest? I'm not a competition swimmer!

    So you’re applying this everyday? Wouldn’t a spray tan be more efficient in that case?

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před 2 lety +3

      I don't use a tanning cream every day. I live in Florida so I can get sun\color when needed. I tell people put it on gradually then maintain it. It's simple and fast. I personally don't like spray tans because for the most part you usually look over tanned when completed. Then in a few days the tan washes away. If you spray tan and use cream I think that usually don't look that good either because the coloring doesn't usually match. Spray tanning is something I don't have time with to keep with as far as scheduling. Also, a lot of people cannot afford to keep getting spray tans. The creams is a lot cheaper and something that you can be a lot more consistent with in my opinion.

  • @Heike--
    @Heike-- Před měsícem +1

    You said it washes off? I thought body lotion soaks INTO the skin? Like your skin can absorb it. So which is it, the tan lotion just sits on top or what?
    And how long does it last?
    So, so many questions. You're used to it so I guess you don't think about this stuff.

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před měsícem

      Yes it soaks into the skin but basically it’s just dying your skin. I can’t determine how long it last because we all have different lifestyles. The more you sweat and shower or swim the more the dye washes off.

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před 2 lety

      Test it. Each cream works differently and goes on differently. I realized when
      I put too much over my 5 o'clock shadow the hair starts to turn it orange. Just put a little when testing it or goes with a mid tanning facial cream that is not that strong. Then you should be fine.

    will applying face tan dye my beard?

    • @RichCelenza
      @RichCelenza  Před 26 dny

      This depends on how long the facial hair/beard is and the color of your beard. It also depends on how much you put on. I put the cream over my 5 o'clock shadow to make sure my entire face looks tan. I have dark hair so it looks fine. If you have lighter colored hair as in blond hair it can and most likely will change the hair color to a light color orange. If you're a red head it won't make that big of difference. Hope that helps.
