Thanks for the video. I have b12 deficiency, pernicious anemia, anti parietal cell antibodies, (but IF antibody negative) and macrocytic anemia. I still need to see a gastroenerologist to see whether I have autoimmune gastritis (seems likely). It’s important to get endoscopies if you have autoimmune gastritis since you are at greater risk of gastric cancer. What’s weird about my case is that this is the only autoimmune disease that I have so far, and I’m also very young (early 20s). I really appreciate this video since these are rare conditions and I don’t see it represented in media very often.

You can have pernicious anemia Without anaemia or Macrotosis same with a b12 deficiency without antibodies can .

I have intrinsic factor antibodies and parietal cell antibodies. I had severe B12 deficiency with normal blood cell size. I've read the B12 anaemia can be masked by folate/folic acid, iron deficiency, chronic illness, inflammation, thalassaemia trait. I had a long list of symptoms of B12 deficiency 😭 but not the additional symptoms of anaemia. My sister had enlarged blood cells with B12 deficiency (also has both antibodies positive) so she had a few extra symptoms from the anaemia such as jaundice and low blood pressure.

I have APCA but not the anti intrinsic factor. So I met with a hematologist get get a better understanding. He said that I was in the beginning staged of pernicious anemia and to get the b12 shots monthly.
