- Assassin's Creed Unity, what it did right. A Couple weeks ago I made a video on "Assassin's Creed Unity | What It Did WRONG" where I went over all of the flaws I found with Assassin's Creed Unity. Now in this video I talk about a lot of the positive things I feel Assassin's Creed Unity did right. If you enjoyed this video I'd appreciate if you left a like and consider subscribing to the channel if you're new here as I make a lot of AC and AC Unity related content. Other than that thanks for watching and have a great day assassins!!!!

I never played Assassin's Creed Unity, but whenever I want to see CZcams videos of that game, I watch its Parkour gameplay.
Imo it feels better to watch than it does to play. There is a sort of "stickiness" to Arno that I can't quite explain but it often feels like you can't really control what he will do next.
@@nenadmilovanovic5271 yup it's all the contextual animation
Play it
It’s on sale on steam rn I believe try it out
@@hyunbuns5191 you could download it for free too
The BEST thing about AC Unity which you haven't mentioned, and is my favourite thing about the game, is the sandbox assassination missions. I absolutely loved the set up of those missions, especially when the target was situated in one of the many palaces and mansions around Paris. Working out how to infiltrate the area and being giving multiple opportunities to complete the assassination was a really cool feature of this game. It is about as close to the assassin fantasy as these games have ever gotten to and a major reason why AC Unity is my favourite game of the series.
I whole heartedly agree too. Valhalla tried this too with some missions but it failed because the stealth is broken af. In unity those multiple ways to execute strategy and complete the mission were amazing.
100% agree I believe Unity was the last time the series truly evolved as Assassin’s Creed and not as bargain bin Witcher 3 and if this game got a year’s extra development being especially for the turnover of a new console generation (and the story getting tweaked but that’s just me) then AC would probably be different than what is today
The only game that was better than Unity that released after Unity was Origins. Origins is amazing.
at least witcher 3 has some unique soundtracks and a compelling story that can be changed by choosing some dialogue options. But what does AC have?
@@jasoncoladonato1034 Origins is not better than Unity as an assassins creed game.
@@liquidsword601 Agreed. But it’s a much better game.
So you are just gonna forget about syndicate?
Unity combat does have another feature that adds a lot of depth: The staggering strike. Each enemy requires a different three-hit combo, all of which start with a staggering strike. They're too complicated to discuss at length here, but you'll find everything you need on Leo K's channel
AC Unity felt so cinamatic, from the parkour to the combat. Something which I dearly missed in AC Origins, where it felt you were sandskating.

Something that i really like about this game is the blackbox missions, they feel satisfying, immersive and smooth.
There's enough options to accomplish them and make you feel like a real assassin.
What are the blackbox missions?
@@TanTan-wb2me Huge stealth sections that you can complete any way you want, BUT also have optional side objectives to get unique kills
@@TanTan-wb2me for each major assassination target, you're given multiple ways to execute your goal. You can rush it, or you can follow specific objectives to do it with more grandiose.
Splinter cell remake is coming
Why I loved Unity. It was challenging and had little hand holding. Combat System was easy to do but hard to master. You can build your character however you want. Side content like Murder Mysteries challenged you
The reason why Assassin's Creed Unity is my favorite of the games is because of the open world experience. There's just a lot to do and many satisfying ways to accomplish objectives, random encounters, and other tasks. For this, I'll take the mid-level story.
Though, I personally enjoyed the story 😂😅
Splinter cell remake is coming
Unity's best feature for me it the parkour. The whole game feels like such a playground. This game also did RPG elements super well while still feeling like AC (I also feel this way with Origins before they went full RPG with Valhalla).
This game was also suuuper cinematic feeling. The art style was fantastic and has aged extremely well from 2014 to 2021. The lighting is amazing too.
Good video lad! Still, a lot of people don't know the good side of Unity and Its Unique features, Glad u made this video!
I just started playing unity and i have to say its such a difference from the rpg games. So far im really into the game its fun af and i just love exploring paris, so far the only concern i have is the gun shooting enemies who are really hard to dodge sometimes but otherwise i love the game.
You might have gotten good at it by now, but really all you wanna do is keep an eye on the gun and when you see the red flash wait for a tiny bit then dodge, ofc with multiple enemies it’s harder but it’s doable
I loved this game visually. It looks so amazing. It played a lot like an old ac game. But I preferred syndicate for the setting and the game play. I got them both at the same time. I finished unity like 2 years after it came out, and after they pushed out a ton of bug fixes and it was fantastic
Me too, it just a shame they only did it at city parts of London unlike Unity
You made good points on Arno and his development. Paris is just so big to explore and run around and in. Excellent video
You forget that absolutely fantastic and often emotionally overpowering soundtrack. Unity's version of the main theme, i.e. Ezio's Story still brings me to tears every time.
Unity is undoubtedly my favorite AC game and I wish we could get another game with Arno. It doesn't even have to take place in France, maybe he goes somewhere else but I would love to see more of him in a game with the same mechanics, not like the rpgs. I actually kinda like the rpg games but I think it's high time that Ubisoft goes back to formula with this franchise.
Finally was waiting for this video still can’t make me happy my dog just died and i been crying so much these 2 days
I’m starting to get back into ac syndicate, which is super weird it’s like the horrible movement system and parkour doesn’t even exist anymore or it’s a mindset thing idk but it’s been going pretty smooth and fun for the meantime
Dead kings dlc was in my opinion the best ac dlc we’ve ever gotten
Hidden Ones is great too
Yes I’ve been waiting for this video.
The world is fairly large and diverse when u take the time to explore. About the size of AC3's frontier.
Thank you man
Next ac3 please
The best ac game gameplay wise. And congrats on 100k!
Unity was simply way ahead of its time! Still play it, still love it
Unity basically put it's focus on all of the things that makes the AC world standout. (Parkour, stealth and ect)
You actually felt the world and at times the game encourages you to come up with smart ways and not be a brute with a sword and it makes your success feel SO satisfying.
I felt as if I am in charge of a movie.
The realism of the story challenges the mythological "Hero" who is there to be all things to all people
And different parts of Paris felt so different. One part had beautiful streets and buildings, one part felt so broken and bumpy and many that I have spoken to have said that they didn't mind just running around different parts of town.
My only crticism is that in order for you to do more cool stuff, you have to unlock skills which means going forward with the story 😑...
I love Assassin's Creed Unity. My favorite thing about it is probably the world design and the freeflow parkour together that lets you play in its world like a panther in the trees. By panther, I mean master assassin. Also great is the rich setting (the architecture, the grimy streets, the dense crowds). It all makes it feel like you had just plugged into the Matrix, you truly feel like you are in a different time and a different place, and most importantly as a different person - an assassin.
One of the best ac games and story’s in my opinion, lots of people disliked / complained about the Elise and Arno love story but I thought it brought more life and passion to the story. Also one of the saddest games I have ever played but the way Arno develops throughout the story and with the loss of Elise and than watching him in the dead kings dlc you see how far he as come and how the whole story shapes him into a better man / assassin.
AYO I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD EVER DO A SHOULD YOU BUY 2022 FOR THE WITCHER 2, I LOVE THE GAME AND WISH YOU COULD DO A VIDEO ON IT :) GREAT VID BY THE WAY
Had fun playing coop in Unity back in 2016 with random, sad that it is only possible with friends these days, especially the 4-men heist, I love how they were designed in a way very relatable to historical events, and that's what most people love about AC as a franchise, the historical accuracy. Shame Arno didn't get a sequel, surely fans would want his crossover with Shay
Imagine if they do the rouge unity cross over with all the features that they said we would get. Just think if the templars we’re holding an execution and then you could jump in and stop it. Or if you saw a group of people outside of a building and then start a riot
Reinstalled it since it a couple of weeks ago, on my new laptop and im totally in love with this game again
I'm one of those AC players who would very much preferred getting new yearly released sequels similar to Unity's and Black Flag's formulas like Rogue and Syndicate than waiting 3 whole years for disappointing projects like Odyssey and Valhalla.
My most fond memory of assassin's Creed unity was watching the rad Brad's play through!
On the last dlc of origins now, after its done going to play through unity, watching stuff of it gives hype towards it
It's clear u love AC Unity just off of how many videos u have of this game. I also appreciate many AC CZcamsrs talking abt this game more bc: in a modern era of Assassin's Creed where we have to beg on our knees and wish for an AC game to have actual Assassins, many fans go back to bitter games (at the time) like Unity and Syndicate. Even the older ones
Imagine if rockstar made an assassins creed game. It’d be beautiful
Review the story dlcs for every Creed
I agree with all of the points you made and here’s another one to add! Elise dying was the right choice because it was realistic. The AC games nowadays tend not to have realistic endings so I appreciate that. *cough* Syndicate’s ending *cough* Loss is a huge part of life and there’s no way that Arno and Elise couldn’t have gotten out of that temple both alive. It made sense that Elise would stay to her character, be consumed by her thirst for revenge.
But they already did death of a love interest before. Just because it is realistic doesn't make it any less boring.
@@nenadmilovanovic5271 Yes, while that's true, it's also very appropriate for Unity. It's the perfect spectacle because, at that point, Arno has nothing left. Everyone he loves is dead. Plus he already lost the Brotherhood too. It's his window to build himself back up (dead kings + Character development lol) It's not the fanciest and most creative ending but it's definitely the most fitting
No its not that realistic,in fiction people important to the main characters die all the time to give them motivation etc,how often do you lose loved ones?It propably doesnt compare to a video game character who loses one every tuesday.Like, maybe every 3 years you will lose an elderly relative(thats the case for me)but in fiction you will lose your parents, girlfriend, friend and mentor figure in the span of two movies etc
Relying on death for drama from a storytelling perspective is a cheap and weak way to go(bringing them back is even worse, deaths should hit strong hence it shouldnt happen all the time)life isnt like that for an individual, overall yes people die all the fucking time but for ONE person? No it becomes too bad to be realistic
You’re just calling things you don’t like not realistic lmao, that’s not how that works.
This is my favourite AC game because of its gameplay mechanics and animations u truly feel like an assassin and sometimes even superhuman with the jumps and falls u can tank
Can you make a video about your favorite hidden blades or hidden blade/gauntlet design?
I have a cool video idea. What you would do for a game after origins? Seeing that origins made mostly right calls for the state the franchise was in, what differences would you making leading in to the next game to steer it away from the hell that is odyssey 😅
This could include gameplay, story and setting etc
Such a shame that this game launched as buggy as it did. The gameplay is my favorite in the series and the atmosphere is incredible. And while the story isn't quite up some of the other AC games, it still holds its own. I'm working through it right now and I'm engaged. Spot on video.
You truly are my master
I love it!
Really hoping for more co-op in AC
AC unity is really blowing up now, over 2k players daily peak! it was only like 300-400 a few months ago
I didn't like unity, but you make me want to play it again.
Play it Bro one of the best games in the franchise despite the bugs and being incomplete which speaks volumes to its potential
Next video idea:
Assassin's Creed 3.
What it did wrong and what it did right.
I love this game. One of the only things I don't like is that you kind of have to upgrade/buy new armour which I'm personally not a fan of because love Arno's original assassin's outfit and I don't want to change it.
This was the first assassins creed game I played and I loved it
bro arno neeedssssss a second game god i wish ubi would do that (also you should try a ranged musket build its one of the most fun ones you can do and the musket in close range is pretty good to )
Just a word of advice for anyone who wants to give this game a chance; go into settings and choose the “light HUD elements” setting. I promise you the game will be much more impressive
I often talk about how it would be so cool to see the assassins just launching from the side of a wall to kill people or taking the parkour system to the next level. Looks like this was a once time thing I suppose. *Sigh* May need to finish my play through of this game just to experience it.
Another win for the narrative is the most nuanced, grey and grey realisation of the conflict between Assassins and Templars. Previous games usually took a more black and white approach, with Assassins as good and Templars as bad (while some were presented as being right in the dangers of the interpretation of the Creed, they as characters weren’t that deep elsewhere) except for Rogue flipping the positions, and 3 using Haytham and Connor to put a magnifying glass on the theology of the Creed. Unity presents both groups as fractured, much like the streets of Paris facing division to debilitating and infighting causing effect. The more weary, traditional and ambitious members willing to exile and kill their own comrades who suggest putting differences aside for the sake of the fate of Paris (a nice parallel to the fall of the Isu in the first event, too caught up with fighting the human rebellion for both to work together to avert the first disaster). While Arno is brash, impulsive and definitely motivated by the power of boners, you can’t help but agree with him that the Brotherhood is too caught up in red tape to be effective.
Another highlight of Arno’s character is his intelligence. It’s not often on display in the story, expect for the story mission where you have to work out who the poisoner is, but the Nostradamus riddles and Paris Mysteries highlight that when he engages his deductive skills he could give Sherlock Holmes a run for his money. People who engage this side material can attest that these puzzles don’t handhold the player and do require a lot of research and outside the box thinking.
Honestly to me this is the best assassin creed game, it’s literally amazing. Yeah it had its bugs which I didn’t play unity to years later. I wish they kept going down this route.
Unity is my personal favorite AC game. I think with a couple of tweaks and if the co-op missions could be optimized to be played by one player more than it would make it even better. ...... And Ballic should have been the main bad guy, not Germain.
il mentore, please make a video on kenway's Trilogy
I was so disappointed when the belec’s outfit didn’t have his hood it looked soo good
When I wear altair/thomas outfit with one handed and common pistol
I talk to myself and I imagine...
*Assassins creed 1 remake*
I've been replaying AC1 lately and Unity just feels like the best reiteration of the original formula.
i thought the animations looked amazing, but ultimately useless and didn't really function in anything other than eye candy, but it made the combat slower and because of the glitchyness of the combat it could have been better, but it is what it is.
I wanted meet in person Arno's combat mocap artist who knows his Taekwondo Spinning Kicks very well🔥
I would also highlight spy missions, being French Sherlock Holmes was really fun
Also, this was my first AC game I have ever played and it attracted me enough to play the rest of them, so it was really good
Doing a playthrough right now, he did not mention if theres any spoilers in the video so i cant continue watching, is there any spoilers or am i good to watch?
I loved AC Unity from start to finish. I played it on PC after all bugs were fixed.
I really enjoy this assassins creed and is top 3 for me (I only played the ezio games and origins)
Unity is my personal favorite AC game next too Origins. Unitys representation of France was Impeccable imo, even the interiors were handcrafted with the furniture being time period accurate, the dingy parts of France were included alongside the natural density and beauty. Buildings are built on a 1/1 scale, God Unity was a really good game after the initial updates and patches
Buildings in majority of open world games are 1:1 not just in AC Unity..
Maps although are compressed af.
@@AFT_05G yes you are correct, I was simply pointing out that given the density of the city and how each building was towering over you and the ability scale anything was impressive, mix that with the dense crowds we had a technical achievement. I wish AC games weren't going the RPG route fully and would go back to this. I actually am not a fan of anything from origins gameplay wise to Valhalla. Not dating their bad games, I just preferred what Unity had
Oh and the riot thing does happen its bugged so it's rare and it happens scripted in a couple Missions but it's kinda optional you can just sneak past the gaurda
the story feels like a prologue of a new trilogy. I guess Ubisoft wanted to make more game with Arno and connect it to AC3 and Rogue.
Unity’s parkour is the best when it doesn’t bug out but I go thru nights just playing it to parkour kill Nd do co-ops every now and then
I also like how far the map goes and all the collectables unlocking doors to get to treasure Nd getting away it’s amazing
Master do you have a video planned for 100k or not sure
I have grown tired of the lackluster story and gameplay of the newer AC games, but there's something about unity... It's gameplay is genuinely top notch, just needed to polish the animations a bit more.
My first game after upgrading from ps2 to ps4
hey bro can you make which is better for splinter cell or rank your favorite in the series
we REALLY need ac unity x ac rogue crossover with arno as protagonist and shay as templar grandmaster or final boss
If Unity can be summed up in one word it would be Beautiful. For all it's bugs, sluggishness, broken stealth, it is visually better than most game of its time, and hold up to 2021 standards as well. It's rep, sadly, remains bad because of its bugs. I personally did not finish unity because it bugs out and lags on my potato computer, but it would definitely be a dream come true if i can try it on a better pc
I like Unity a lot. Until it came to extremely large open area's for assassinations. And getting shot by gun men. The game was good, but for some reason the game really took a bad turn for me at the end. Unresponsive controls and very bad glitches such as getting seen through walls
Review sniper elite games please masterassassin
I think there was supposed to be a club competition mode but it never came out when I go to it in my club it’s locked
I didnt have time to close before the spoiler😢 unity was 1 of 2 games i skipped entirely and i started playing it today😭
For me, Unity was the best Assassin's Creed game since Revelations. The story wasn't perfect, but the game felt like a return to form with parkour and stealth compared with the Kenway Saga. Arno was also a great protagonist for his character development and redemption and his tendency to use sarcasm and humour as a coping mechanism. He deserved to have at least one more game
Unity hands down has my favorite gameplay. I love the world as well. Arno is the best part of the story and he truly was never part of the creed till the end. The rest of the story was alright.
I also personally really wanna see a multiplayer heavy assassin's Creed game again.
Assassin's Creed Unity has the best parkour and stealth system, realistic fights despite some bugs to me this of the best AC games I have ever played
Review sniper elite games please
I'm on sequence 7
I hope new games would be like Unity, It was Perfect, it was authentic, I love that game alot, Only unity and syndicate are my favourite game
An annoying thing is that you don’t get 2 hidden blades, even when you become a master, you don’t get another hidden blade like you should.
One of the things this game did wrong in my opinion is not making Arno's trailer outfit an actual outfit and instead making it exclusively armor pieces. Meaning that if you want to look like Arno then you need to give up good stats which is silly to me
Combat is perfect in Unity i love the realistic in it
How do you feel about the DLC in Unity
What is better Adewale dlc or older Arno dlc
Are the Unity severest for online still active?
The thing I have with this game is that it’s not as bad as everyone says, but it’s not as good as everyone says either
Same, great parkour and movement mechanics,a dense beautiful city that is perfect for AC but ruined by lacklustre storyline, top much useless collectibles and a janky combat system.
@@AFT_05G pretty much, I liked the parkour for the most part but I did find it a bit sluggish and unresponsive. It’s fun to watch parkour montages of the game because it looks sick but playing it wasn’t so fun for me. You know what tho, at least it broke boundaries and was headed in the right direction for the series in terms of gameplay, at least that’s what we thought lol. I don’t even remember the story too now that you mention it, all I remember was that Arno complained a lot and was in love with that one woman. Don’t even remember who the main bad guy was lol
@@AFT_05G also this might be an unpopular opinion or something but I love Arnos base robes and the idea of being a normal assassin instead a mentor or someone ultra significant. I feel like the whole “hide in plain sight” idea fits with this games base robes perfectly. He doesn’t have gleaming white robes with shiny over the top armour, so he can actually blend in more realistically than others. I also love the blue as well which I’ve heard many don’t like
I'm really debating on if I should get unity or syndicate. They both look really fun and I would be happy with either of them. Would really appreciate some help.
If you're on PC get Unity. Anything else probably Syndicate
Unity all the way
I've completed unity 6 times now
It's the only AC game i come back to every year
Also the story is less cliche than the other ACs where the lead is friends with every important person in history
@@lolcat I'm on console specificly Xbox 1s
@@yathishbl3757 yea I was leaning towards syndicate at first but recently I've had a change in heart and I feel like unity is the better game
If youre a parkour and combat and all vfx stuff fan, well, its all a better one...
But the thing to why im a big fan of this game... Is that this game potrays each of us lives perfectly...
Because think about this... Ezio understood the creed by seeing through altair's life. Connor understood by losing his village... But in unity... You lose your biological father, your adopted father, your love of your life, your true purpose of your life (since you're stripped of your title) , you lose your mentor... You're left all alone, alone with nothing but the consequences of the choices you made.
Is there someone out there that is playing ac unity this week? Last week december?
Im doing another play tru and I’m looking for a active club to do coop
a grossly underrated game...apart from the bugs
It’s not underrated c’mon
I didn’t like the story or characters in unity but it’s my 2nd favourite Ac game since it has the best gameplay in the entire franchise.
The only thing i don't like about it, is the Combat system, it's not smooth at all and it's a big deal for me as it's big part of the gameplay.
Can u do for ac4
Could you do a review of fallout 4
