  • I really love this thing.
It's an analog-voiced, digital delay with a modulation circuit and a gain control.
You can control the gain and the echo separately, so you can use one without the other if you want.
The gain side is slightly misleading. They call it "Fuzz", but it's actually more of a heavy overdrive.
I kinda wish it was a more traditional, DBA-style fuzz though...

Hats off !!! great video, if I hadnt 5 delay in my board i would certainly buy this one, ja ja ja ja.
Seriously, this is a great pedal.

      Thanks so much!
I know what you mean. I've already got way too many delay pedals, but I'm pretty sure this thing is gonna end up on my board, regardless!

More echo pedals need a waveform switch, cool review.

I agree. This thing is so unique, but it really shouldn't be!
      Thanks for watching. 🙂👍

Thanks for clarifying that the FUZZ is not a Fuzz .. but an OD.... I havent used my pedal in a year and half..busy playing jazzy blues rock !. forgotten the sound. And freaked out thinking the Fuzz circuit is busted ...was about to mail it all the way across the planet, literally across 3 Oceans to NYC... you saved a lot of trouble... the OD kicks in more than 2 o clock. At unity it is hardly there is it not ?

And yeah, until you turn it past about noon it's pretty subtle.

Nice pedal but honestly I prefer the Deluxe Pitch Pirate, another pt2399 pedal. Great review though.

I've tried that one! I agree, it's absolutely fantastic and gives you more waveform options. It's smaller and cheaper, too. 😄

    are you plug in 9 or 18 v , or you don't remember 4 years later :-)

@fkclub2584 Hmmm. That's interesting. Maybe it's in need of some maintenance? I'd reach out to DBA and ask them about it.

Cool demo. What kind of power supply does it use? Unusual to see a variable power knob like that.

    • @PedalExperiments
      @PedalExperiments  Před 3 lety +1

Just a standard dc, centre negative. But it can take anything between 9v and 18v.
I've actually got a short video coming soon, demonstrating what it sounds like on 9v compared to 18v. So stay tuned!
