This is where the freshest produce in Zimbabwe, ingredients for meals in expensive restaurants comes from. Most of the produce is only a few hours old, so very fresh and quite cheap.

After having watched most of your videos, I have learned that apart from diverse languages and different country names, we Africans are basically the same people living in almost similar sorroundings. That market scene could be in Kawangware Kenya, Atsiaman Ghana, or Xai-Xai Mozambique.

What fascinated me was the hustling spirit it awakened some of us never to be ashamed of making money up to this day I sometimes do Door to door vending.

There you can buy a box of tomatoes or anything very cheap but you will have to go there very early in the morning. 2019 I went there teaching my niece how to buy and sell so I can set up a business for her rather than being a maid where the husband will be abusing you and Chuck you away with the baby. Thank God I set that up for her she has mastered it and doing well. Thank you for showing the world the real Zim not that other people portray Zimbabwe to the world. And if you haven't been to Zim for a long time you can believe those lies. But you have actually shown those who were believing Zimbabwe is just ruins, saying no this is the real Zim despite what you read and shown this is ZIMBABWE. Thanks a ton for that

After that day,my mother made sure I won't wear expensive watches anymore when walking around Mbare coz in those days pick pockets were very high.It looks much more laid back now than it was in the 80s and early 90s.Maybe Covid restricted people from flocking into Mbare.I will be visiting Zimbabwe next year,I am so exited about it.

The market folks need to have 1 day during the week where they clean up that market place. Zimbabwean people we are generally very clean and the state of Mbare is not a reflection on the average Zimbabwean household. Government needs to assist with putting some order and building proper structures for the market stalls. Small changes that will make such a massive difference and make the marketers proud of themselves.☺️

Totally agree! The place is filthy, dirty needs better planning and organisation, can easily become a breeding ground for diseases. The gorvement needs to be proactive to improve this market area for hardworking Zimbabweans!
