- What can $10 get you in Zimbabwe?
Zimbabwe, officially Republic of #Zimbabwe, formerly (1911-64) Southern Rhodesia, (1964-79) Rhodesia, or (1979-80) Zimbabwe Rhodesia, landlocked country of southern Africa. It shares a 125-mile (200-kilometre) border on the south with the Republic of #SouthAfrica and is bounded on the southwest and west by Botswana, on the north by Zambia, and on the northeast and east by Mozambique. The capital is Harare (formerly called Salisbury). Zimbabwe achieved majority rule and internationally recognized independence in April 1980

Thank you African Tigress for marketing the uncovered stories of Zimbabwe and Africa at large, keep up with your work. I hope will visit Matopo hills, great Zimbabwe, Khama Ruins, Mutarezi falls, Chihoyi cave, national heroes, balance rocks in Harare, Inyanga mountains, Mana pools, and Gonarezhou parks
the lack of barbaric high rises that create a dysfunctional society
also liked the tone of the frequency of the language
the sense of humor
ppl on the hustle beautiful vibes #AfricanArt 🇿🇼
I didn't know that you were coming to my city ...are you still in town?
@Claudia Ndlovu Baker's Inn Russian and Chips is better
Thank you African tigress for showcasing Zim. Can you be our makoti 😍😍😍
Who else agrees Zimbabwe is a superb country? 🇿🇼😍
Meeeeee ✋🏿✋🏿✋🏿
@@AFRICANTIGRESS maze good work you are doing making us know a lot about Zim.
Me 2
If you’ve got money yes but otherwise it’s horrible, having to think what you’re going to eat or how you’re going to make money everyday is stress. Went there a number of times but I’d never live there.
Me
Only in Zimbabwean is where u get in a supermarket and find bread on shelves priced in ZWD, pay in USD and receive your change in S.A Rand
This is the best marketing I’ve ever seen. Thank you African Tigress for telling our story! ❤️🙏🏿 I’m going to definitely tell all my friends to subscribe! 🤩
Thank you so much for the support.
True
The multi-currency system in Zimbabwe has made Zimbabweans to be very great mathematicians. You are always working out the exchange rates...you can pay in US dollar and get change in South African rands or Zimbabwean dollar. Both the vendor and customer will know exactly what is due to them without using a calculator.
You are so right. Spot on👍
Zimbos know how to survive. The economic hardships of 2008 have toughened them up.
Soo tru
@@ronaldmadziro5679 🤔 The hardships were/are much longer than 2008 - jog your memory mate 😄, it's more like a lifetime.
Very right in what you said.
i love zim from Botswana 🇧🇼we have Zimbabweans neighbours here nd they are so loving ❤
This is great, feels like a good vacation. There's food involved and so affordable. I'm a Nigerian. Loving AFRICA 🌍
I'm a South African from Limpopo. I want to cross the border into Zimbabwe, maybe in a couple of years after I graduate. 😅At least I won't have to change my money or get cheated because I'm a tourist. I understand the languages and their way of life is not too far from ours, just kinda simpler. 😊Thanks for letting us see Zim in a brighter light.
That's what we need as Africans no one will come to unite us if we don't
Politicians won't Young people are the now and future
We would welcome you to bulawayo
You should come and visit..If you can speak isiZulu you will able to comfortably commmunicate especially in Bulawayo.
We look forward to welcoming you 🇿🇼
Zimbabwe is rising higher again, this time she is becoming bigger and beautiful and a better place for all Africans. So Africans in abroad, go and invest in Zimbabwe, you will never regret. God has blessed Zimbabwe in the name of Jesus. AMEN
God Bless you!!
The country look so organised and beautiful
Yea Bulawayo is beautiful.
Great job ladies! Everytime I watch your Zimbabwean vlogs I think differently of the country. Contrary to what we hear it looks like a nice place to visit.
Not densely populated
Roasted corn, we do it the same way in the Caribbean.
Same as Kenya! We call it mahindi choma.
We do dumplings the same way as you do in Jamaica😀
Zimbabwe is amazing this $10 dollars shopping 🛍 is amazingly cheap.....I loved this video 😍🙏🏽👍🏼
the shopping was great but the snake mmmmmh interesting kkkkk i would prefer a snack.just pulling your leg.l really enjoyed watching you two queens together
I've never seen a YTber visit one country for this long and still maintain a steady rise in subs.
Her Zimbabwe trip has been a runaway success. More Contintal vloggers and Diasporans will be visiting Zimbabwe now.
Zimbabweans have been so kind to me I'm humbled.
@@AFRICANTIGRESS im happy to hear that. Thank you for showcasing my country even after a rough start, All the best♥️
Because it's a breath of fresh air for most black people who have had nothing but racist white supremacist propaganda (especially the BBC) about Zimbabwe for the last 20 years from when they dared to take control of their own land and their own destiny. There are angry white supremacists in every one of her comments sections that makes the country look good :)
Claudia is so clean looking and well manicured🌹
The best bananas in the world i second that i have tasted them i just like that Zimbabwe has a good plantation of banana. Things are not so expensive in Zimbabwe see roasted corn for less than a dollar. Come to Botswana it i a dollar plus but wait 1 dollar for freezed ice pop? No that is 1cent here, fried russian and french fries with fat cake best street food
"it's basically a freezit that has gone to private school"😂😂girl don't start
Popticorn 😫i miss home
Best way to describe it 😅
Growing up as a young African girl I was ashamed of being African was often reminded of hw Africa was a poor starving continent. When I grew older, I got the chance to travel to the so called 'affluent' nations and finally realized tht the continents of Africa and Asia hve some of the most nutritious diets and natural foods found in abundance thanks to the diverse flora and fauna naturally found in these regions. And we don't starve by the way it's a misconception!!!🤔🤔 Thanks to African Tigress, Claudia Harmony and all other African CZcamsrs for telling our African stories. Proudly African, Proudly Zimbabwean 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
Thanks Pauline...Kambum in the house ;)
I totally agree on the food we have in Asia, which is so healthy just like yours in Africa!
One in five people - 21% of the population - were facing hunger in Africa in 2020.
282 million people are undernourished in Africa. That’s 46 million more people compared with 2019.
stop generalizing you are doing the same thing as the people you used to be ashamed of
Africa is amazing, but It's not necessary to compare yourselves to other's.
You stand on your own two feet.
Thanks for this lovely video n experience with your crew. Am becoming home seek,😩. It seems us$10 can buy quite a lot of things in Zim. 😋🤩🤑
Lots of food! Home is waiting for you Monalisa!
I remember paying for something in dollars when I was in Zim for the first time, and the vendor gave me change in Rand. I was so confused🤣 but I love it. Zim is a special place 😍Thanks again Claudia and AT for showing us around Bulawayo
I was so confused several times.
@@AFRICANTIGRESS BTW AT, have you heard abt the annual "My Beautiful House" Competition in Matobo Hills which is abt 30 mins from Bulawayo (if you're still in the vicinity)?
Every year they have a Competition to celebrate the Ndebele tradition of painting their homes with bright patterns. It was started by Pathisa Nyathi, a local historian at the Amagugu Heritage Center, supported by Ekhaya Gaia, a local NGO. Might be worth a visit to see this year's entrants if you have the time.
Thank you for showing us around Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 I really enjoyed watching you guys shop, film, eat, chat and laugh 😃 ❤
Zimbabwe is beautiful

Freezit that has gone to private school, you killed me hahhhaah, I am glad you are enjoying hey
The natural snacks are healthy and the prices are reasonable.
People are enjoying the delights of their country.
I like that they're fresh too.
bulawayo is spacious and cleaner than HARARE
It is spacious. Loved it.
Harare has a lot of busy people,,,,Bulawayo has few people and its queit

That's because a lot of people of koBulawayo are scattered in the Diaspora as economic migrants.

Great video I enjoyed virtual eating chibage chakagochwa/roasted maize😋lol,AT and Claudia you're making me miss home😞
Home is waiting for you Emzee!
Inflight / airport scenes as you did while flying into Bulawayo will get views from aviation enthusiasts, so do more of that please. 👍🏼 from India.
Noted. Thank you so much
Beautiful video
Thank you for doing this , some Zimbabweans have failed to do
Thank you for watching.
If this had been don by a Zimbabwean, it would have been dismissed as someone trying working for the government, doing propaganda work for the government. Someone like AT, known for doing this sort of work in many African countries is considered more credible and without any motives. So this tour needed someone from out of Zim. khaya Gogo, Blessed to be a Blessing, Mr Zim,even Claudia have all doing this sort of work (go check out their channels), but they have not received the same sort of attention.

When buying roast mealies check the leaves/covers/shells for freshness. The greener the better/the fresher.
Thanks for the tip.
Thank u Tigress m glad u tried the NYI/MNYI fruit lol I know ts a pretty unusual fruit .
Hi I Am from the beautiful twin Island in the Caribbean...Trinidad & Tobago. Will love to come to Bulawayo some day. You were told Africa has the sweetest bananas you should try what we have in the Caribbean.
Get in touch, we will host you🙏🏿
Things are expensive in Bulawayo guys. You will find the same product/ item half the prize in Harare
Oh really?
Yes try to use the same $10 and buy the same items in Harare you will see what i mean. Bulawayo is too influenced by South African lifestyle
We're influenced by the western and South African cultures because there were and still are a lot of white Indian and "coloured" people here. Also ndebeles are nguni people we have the Zulu culture
@@skiski1504 i think its becoz the southern region has less crop farming
Yes you are right, you can get those stuff at a lesser price in H-town. Anyways food is affordable in Zim
You both got a lot for your money and you are a very good tour team.
Great stuff today...street food seems great...but you got to bring Claudia to Nairobi...am just jazzed by her personality..

Wonderful idea. I thought you would go in a supermarket, but buying on the streets was still awesome
I think things in the supermarket are more costly and I wanted to see what an average local would go for as a first priority. Thank you for watching.
