Dogs hide their puppies to protect them from predators. If the bed is where she gave birth, she is trying to destroy it to rid the area of the scent of blood that would tell predators there is a weak new mother and tender babies nearby. I love you videos!!!
she may be tearing up her bed because she is stressed out, anxious, or bored. Boredom is often the easiest to understand. ... Dogs who chew their beds often hold the bed down with their front feet and bite down, then pull upward with the neck to tear the bed apart.
My dog used to tear up the pads overnight due to boredom. I had to actually stop using them for about a year and a half, but now she stopped tearing them to shreds. She is also a high energy herding dog, so she gets bored quickly
I thought that was just my dog doing that! Now i know its from boredom. Thank you!

She may have destroyed the blankets if the blankets smelled of your other dogs. It might be she felt threatened by their smell.
Im sure this is a basic dog parent information. Joey said "clean, new" blankets, so maybe the mom just hates blankets.

@@PhatAsss Dogs can smell scents even on washed blankets. That is the whole concept behind "sniffer dogs" in missing person/murder cases. When the murderer washes the evidence, the dogs can still smell it.
Then why do it now? She didn't before?
@@MusaKitty Escalation of concern? Coyotes outside the garage door? Moon barking particularly loud that day? Boredom? Joey would need a camera to get an idea of what is stressing her out.
After watching your recent videos of her I realized I have her puppy! Her backstory is that she was dumped behind a vacant parking lot with her 2 other female puppies, who are about 8 months old. I currently am fostering one of the puppies & someone else is keeping the sister while you have the momma !! Thanks for taking good care of her. She definitely deserves all the love in the world !

Sheâs moving them to what feels like a den, the paddling pool is out in the open so doesnât feel safe to her you should try putting something like a table over the pool with blankets hanging over it to make it feel more like a den she should feel more comfortable then
Often times dogs will move their puppies when they feel their puppies are in danger. Or sometimes itâs just when the like another spot better than the one before.
Hopefully she likes the new spot we're building for her!

I think she is used to street life probably so she's trying to make sure they are always in a new place so other animals can't get to them.
She was out in the streets for about 3-4 days. Animal Control was able to easily get her. It took me 2 full days to rescue one of her puppies because she was scared & did not trust humans.

@@deeznutz20203 I live in the same area as well but more near the mall. Thereâs many strays here especially since weâre in the desert. Throughout these 2 months I rescued about 10 strays already! ):
@@deeznutz20203 Strays donât usually stay in one area unless if theyâre dumped... Most of the strays I rescued didnât stay in the same area , they always moved. Her & her 2 puppies stayed at the same area though & someone witness them being dumped there. They havenât left since they were dumped
@@huntersmells50717 aww :( I havenât been towards the mall in a few weeks. I seen a doggo near last time I went but I couldnât catch him. He ran away too quick before I got a chance. I had left a bowl of food and water out though. I had gotten to rescue a puppy though. I couldnât find any other ones though.

you should name the puppies after plants (juniper âjuneâ maybe , sage, rosemary, willow,linden, basil, alder, marigold, iris , ivy, oak,lilac,posy, tansy, rowan, palm, and soooo many more cute ones!)

I dont think she likes when you touch her puppies. She stands up every time when you hold one of her puppies.
Maybe she had a bad experience with people and now she is careful.
maybe she can smell your dogs and is feeling threatened so she moved them where she thinks they are all safe or it could be that the pool you have her in is starting to feel cramped and she needs more room. what ever the case your doing a fantastic job and she and the pups are all looking amazing. xx

I think the tub is too small she moved them to the open and created a giant spot with blankets and she only wanted the soft ones so maybe sheâs worried about warmth

@@JoeyGraceffaVlogs I think they move them around because they get nervous around us. They know our intentions are not to hurt them but they are scared for their babies. Some animals even abandon their babies when humans touch them because of the sent. Not saying she is going to do that she seems like a really good mom.
Imagine how much strain would have been on the mother's body trying to raise those large puppies without regular meals of her own.
Moving them into the crate she might want an area that feels more covered and protected

You have to remember the dogs and cats where strays. They are used to hiding away from people.
they would probably do this even if this wasnt a stray i think instincts make them do this.
She actually was easier to catch than her 2 other puppies she was dumped with. She just growled a bit but thatâs totally normal as I bet she was scared of all the people trying to get them.

As a stray she probably had to find dens to sleep and is looking for a covered area as thatâs where she feels safe as sheâs had to hide herself so sheâs trying to move them to an area with a roof. My dog loves a covered area under the coffee tables or dining table and her cage as soon as I put towels on top and made it dark is her special place she loves it! Try a covering Joey it may be whatâs going on ? They are gorgeous and mama is a sweetie pie! Thank you for all this demanding good work you do to help these beautiful dogs, your my hero!

for others, Sometimes you feel like nobody can understand what you are going through that is why

She senses the other animals and it's a protection thing, not necessarily from you, but it's natural.

You should name them after spices! Ex: Cimmamon, Sugar, Salt, Pepper., Chili.
From my experience I think itâs because youâre touching them too much or she doesnât feel safe in the spot sheâs in.

If she was a stray, they constantly move and redo the "nest", so they'll move them from say under a house into a hole they been digging close by and when the pups are moved they will actually destroy any sign that there was a nest there.. no scents, to the untrained đ eye it would look like a pile of rubble...

Hey Joey, my dogs a rescue and your dog seems to be acting a lot like mine. My dog always freaks out when she's getting fed and eats her food so fast like she won't get another meal, this means that she's probably been malnourished at some point in her life. She's probably just acting out because she's had this past trauma and she wants to protect her puppies. If this is already obvious I'm sorry but I hope I've helped!
