Great trip trip report man!!! I’m in a similar situation, I have a ton of points to redeem and I was just wondering how much un advance did you book/arrange flights ?

Hello Javi, nice to hear from you again! If you redeem with Singapore Airlines I recommend you book your seat as early as possible because award space tends to go down as you approach the departure date. In my particular case, some of the award space I initially spotted was no longer there when I booked around 3 months before. I had no award space issues with Etihad when I booked my seat for the Oman Air flights over the phone at around the same time but this may no longer be the case since Etihad has changed their booking system. I think you can now book Oman Air flights on the Etihad website instead of having to call the hotline. In general, I would always book ahead of time especially if you travel with someone else. Out of curiosity, which miles redemptions do you have in mind?
