Follow us as we take on the Ocean To Lake Section of the Florida Trail ! 63 miles of swamp-land filled with overflowing water, wildlife, fauna, and great times! We started at Lake Okeechobee on February 1st 2020 and ended at Hobe Sound Beach on February 4th 2020. We had a blast hiking through the trail with knee deep to waist deep water. There is no camping allowed or power access at the youth camp area. I recently hiked the trail and was hoping to charge my phone at the youth camp, but the area is fenced off to the public. Riverbend Park has a nice pavilion with power outlets and clean bathrooms.

Perfect place for swamp monster
I love hiking in the cooler time of year. I was born and raised in Florida but not cut out for the hot humid weather. I have a membership with the Florida state parks and bought their passport book and made it a goal to visit as many parks as I can every year.
