I love how he almost pulled a "cool guys don't look at explosions", but couldn't resist watching.
Love that you know that song!
@@CoolPandaTheMovieNerdwhat song?
@@thepancakeplanet8849 Cool Guys Don't Look at Explosions, lol
@@KragatarSanta did.
I always loved seeing Santa being portrayed as a total badass for no reason. This is my favorite Christmas movie EVER.
Fatman is another good one about badass santa
@@jakeshaw1661 Fatman is a classic.
I mean he is a viking
@@grimreaper894 Exactly.
@@grimreaper894He was originaly Odin Borson.
Honestly this scene just left me with the biggest goofy grin on my face when I saw it
@@CruzSarmiento-bs8nhlike I spent most of the film’s runtime enjoying it but overall feeling like it didn’t live up to the promise of Santa going Die Hard mode on a load of terrorists, then this scene came up and I just started grinning like a kid on Christmas
Same
Little stocking stuffer
😂
The team leader was Asian, what would cause an Asian American to a life of crime?
If that’s the case, I wonder what ethnicity is the other team squad members were.
I love this movie so much. Makes me want to believe in Santa all over again.
I honestly started believing in him again after watching this movie
@@raecabrera5417 a much better perspective of him!
Wtf are you talking about Santa is real
Same
Why do I love this movie? Because it is what it is and it doesn’t pretend to be something else, it’s dumb fun and it embraces it, best Christmas movie since Die Hard
It’s Die Hard with Santa Claus 🎅🏿
@@milandavis4825hell yeah
Saw this in theaters with my father, we were both howling with laughter at this sequence…. And then I nearly pissed myself laughing when my old man said “Huh, did something similar to that in ‘Nam” when Santa blew up the guy with a grenade.
I was also on the Vietnam war
I laughted for probably the hole movie because of how crazy and genuis it is to have Santa fight as jhon wick
@@johnnguyen833I thank you for your service
Me Amy dad saw it in theaters too.
Who knew Santa Claus was Thor in a previous life?
OMG, hilarious.
This movie was so fun
I GOTTA WATCH!
one of the greatest scenes in a Christmas movie ever. The music adds so much to it the contrast between Bryan Adams and mass murder is so great. I hope this becomes a classic.
Its a modern classic
It already has
I love how it’s playing an innocent cheerful Christmas song 😂
Imagine without the music? Holy...
@@eddieruiz6826the start of this scene has no music as he kills the first few guys and its unironically terrifying
Definitely some SOLID hammer sequences. Have no problem believing the damage is realistic ... And I'm glad Mrs. Claus sent Skully and the spare bag; she DOES still love him after 1100 years.
That is loyalty right there
@@themedia1271that’s love.
She also knew her husband well enough to know he’d be staying to save the day which is heartwarming
IT'S back or STILL on PRIME at the moment for this Holy Day season. Which is mostly not "set apart", by vast majority, and yet a minority recall it's about the Mass of Christ and a celebration of Creator Father's gift of HIS Creator Son to be a blood sacrifice for the sins of mankind against Creator and Creator's creation. Blessings, zephyrs, soft sun. Kiss the Son lest the Father be angry.
Charlize Theron wants to plays Mrs Clause in a sequel. Santa is a lucky man.
This was a perfect Christmas movie. They referenced Home alone from when I was a kid and this is just what we all wanted.
The fact that there all getting brutally murdered and the most calmest Christmas song is playing in the background
This is what happened to Santa when everyone asked him $10 billion for Christmas.
When my friend group and I watched this movie in the theater, I was sitting next to the one with the most contagious laugh. It's the kind that can start with just a wheeze, but evolve into hysterical laughing. The moment the music started to play, he couldn't stop laughing. He leaned over and said "The music! This movie is great." Truly one of my favorite Christmas memories.
Imagine if they did a sequel, where he teams up with the Easter Bunny. I'd be like... "Just take my money, no questions asked."
Is rumores that Tommy wrikola, the director actually wants to do that
I hope they do a mall setting
And then if they do a third, they might team up with the tooth fairy.
And then after that, imagine an endgame like battle with the Halloween characters.
It will be a damn legendary franchise. I’m not joking around.
@@elijahhill6602 yeah they should do a 2nd movie were he fights the grintch and then a 3rd movie were he fights Krampus and then finally a spin-off were he fights Micheal Myers, I hope they really do
Yeah I heard by David Harbour (sandy Claws’s actor) they are working on a sequel that includes mrs Claus played by Charlieze Theron
This Santa would make a great Mortal Kombat character.
I was thinking the same thing.
He’d be a beast
I was just thinking the same thing too.
That sounds cool.
Maybe not a full-fledged MK character, but a Shao Klaus skin with him wielding a skullcrusher instead of an axe would be PERFECT
“You can mess with a lot of things, but you can’t mess with kids on Christmas.” - Kevin McCallister
David harbour is becoming one of my favorite actors. I just know a movie will be good when he is in it
We just need more movies like this
Agreed!
Santa battling bad guys.
For context to those who didn’t watch this: Santa is a former viking warlord in this movie.
who was he fighting were they special forces or smth??
@@OrphanObliterator069 So in the movie he is saving a wealthy family taken hostage by home invaders. The mom had a special team of mercs in the event of a hostage situation. Problem was the mercs were in on it too and are the ones Santa is fighting here.
@@mercifulmoff oh, thought he was fighting innocent people💀💀
Imagine training your whole life and become a special ops mercenary only to be brutally killed by Santa Claus ☠️☠️
Such a goofy yet badass scene. 🎅
This fight scene gave me a mild adrenaline boost and I was surprised and a little shocked at the amount of violence that Santa had made
Honestly, it's one of the best Christmas movies I've ever watched 😂😂
I'm glad that the movie used Santa origins as a Norse & possibly Viking ancestry in the action film. Those are the lore I read as a kid in children books.
Imagine Santa and John were to team up
They thought the Boogieman wasn’t real, they told me Santa was fake, I believed in both that fateful night. When both came to the children’s aid and told those doubters who to fear that night.
This one and Bill Goldberg's are my favorite portrayal of badass santa
I would question why they let someone who is Jewish play Santa, but then again, Jesus and his disciples were Jewish too.
Santa went doom mode for this lol 😂
Santa is just a chad in this like he's amazing
3:00 when you try to turn away from the screen watching a horror movie
One of my favorite scenes in this movie while hearing Brian Adams’s “Something About Christmas Time.”
Saw this at Christmas time... Great movie!! 😃🍿
Saw this after my grandma passed, really helped me get through the whole thing.
This Is The Most Badass Christmas Movie Ever I Love It ❤
I have yet to watch it again.
This man would do great in Mortal Kombat 😂
Shang Tsung: What are you doing here?
Santa: *cracks knuckles* I'm here to deliver some season's beatings.
I LOVE the fact that they use one of my absolute favorite Christmas songs for such a BADASS scene!! This movie is one of my new holiday favorites!!
This song has been...forever changed to me because of this movie.
When it plays in public, the vision of the scene makes the holiday music just a little more tolerable.
Honestly the best Christmas movie i ever seen, christmas chronicles used to be my number 1 favorite, but now violent night is my number 1 favorite
David Harbour is now my third favorite Santa Claus actor. Tim Allen is number 1 and Kurt Russell is number 2.
I was dying of laughter and my face was honestly tearing from the laughter and I watching this with my girlfriend and my friends or her friends aswell and we were dying of laughter when Santa pulled the hammer out like it was nothing he killed like 30-25 members of that team and he was killing them like nothing but good movie still
Exactly what I wanted from this movie lmao.
1:56 what kind of kill squad doesn't go in ready to shoot
Amateurs
He probably don't expect a surprise attack,or he just new guy
Probably afraid of friendly fire.
Possible it malfunctioned
Probably because they thought the Santa dude was weak
The bestest early Christmas present ever
Old Saint Nick spreading holiday fear😅😮 Sounds about right, a man who watches you whether you're sleeping or awake. 😂😅🎅
Epic movie! Hope they do a sequel to this
Now, this is a real Red Guardian
Of Christmas.
THIS IS A GREAT CHRISTMAS FAMILY MOVIE. ESPECIALLY FOR THE CHILDREN.
Saint Wick
“There you go a little stocking stuffer.”lol!!!!’. Why😂😂😂
The sheer degree of incompetence out of those soldiers is incredible ("he's slaughtering us at close range and we have guns, should we shoot him?" "Nah, let's run right up to him without even firing so he can kill us too." "Okay!"), but it doesn't prevent this from being highly entertaining.
I love how he progressively gets more dangerous as he gets rolling
I f**king love this scene
Why did this movie actually give me Christmas cheer?😂
I love this movie best Christmas movie of all time [ in my opinion ]
I was only disappointed they didnt male the grenade pants thing more like a bloody kaboom than a fireball. Visually have the surround snow become gradually red from bloody mist just sound so over the top.
Other than that, the movie is perfect.
There better be a dang sequel!
There is. It's confirmed.
I think I heard David Harbor express an interest in expanding the universe of Violent Night like a “Rise of the Guardians”-Type franchise. Given that Santa in this movie was a Viking Warrior, I’d LOVE to see more backstory on that and to see how other Legends/Holiday Characters would be in this universe
They all got what they deserve anyway since the death squad did three naughty things:
1. They betrayed their contractor.
2. They killed one of the family members they were supposed to protect.
3. They mercilessly pursued Santa all the way down to this tool shed in hopes of ending him.
the song is soo absolutely christmas rich in this scene
Bryan Adams is a living legend 💗
To quote the nostalgia critic when he reviewed lost boys there should be medicine to contain how much fun I'm having
The best Christmas music video ever.
Song name
@@MichaelMyers1970Bryan Adams “It’s Christmas Time”
Dave harbor knocked his role out of the park! Very good actor, it made me laugh
Better kill: John Wick with a pencil or Santa (can’t believe I’m using his name for this lol) with a candy cane?
IF you're adding "found item" weapons, Joker's disappearing pencil needs to be in the list
BUT I choose "Death by Candy Cane" over both the others. Ranks up there with Tea Cup.
The moment one of my favorite Christmas song played I just had a massive smile on my face and just had to laugh through it while I lightly clamp to the song beat.
This movie is pure gold!!!!! 😂😂😂🎄🎄🎄☃️☃️☃️🎅
Now we need more movies where Santa fights; the grintch, the easter bunny, befana, krampus but most of all Micheal Myers
"Nope, just Jolly Ol' Saint Nick" 😂😂😂
What a fatality or brutality that Santa Claus just did and I’m glad I’m born in December 24th
I love this movie and this is my favourite scene the song is perfect 😅
This movie is a blast!
My favorite version of santaclaus ever bc even if he is brutal all of those people ARE NAUGHTY.
This is what happens when you are on the naughty list.
Fantastic 🌷🌸🌷
I guess this Christmas, all of us have to remember to NOT BE NAUGHT.
I love the happy Christmas music playing "something about Christmas time" as he's stabbing 3 guys, so funny
I want more modern setting movies with sledgehammers. This was way too fun to watch, I've seen all the martial arts weapons and swords being used in action movies before, but this is the first time I've seen my beloved sledgey being used with such grace. Yes, I played a lot of sledge in r6 siege
"Stocking stuffer."
Am I the only one who finds this line funny as hell? 😂😂😂 0:34
He gave them their lumps all right. And a little extra gun powder.
Man that was brutal
2:50-3:06 best part 😂😂😂😂😂
Santa: I gotta watch!
This is sick...... I LOVE IT!!!!
Your video will make a fine addition to my "CZcams algorithm strikes again" collection
How does it feel to see a Viking legend in action
Most unrealistic part of this movie? That snowblower started with just one light pull. Thats never happening anytime aside from being fresh out of the shop XD
You're not wrong, but also it's Santa. He does what he wants.
It was Christmas magic
I was just thinking how did the rope not get cut?😂 Anyway awesome film.
Time for some seasons beatings
Amazing scene! Favourite part of the film.
I wish they'd kept the original line from the trailer though - the plateful of cookies one was OK, but 'time for season's beatings' was great. Lol.
Filming this movie looks like so much fun
That scream that soldier made 😳
Gotta love when they either charge with a gun that can be use at long range.. or go for a fist fight when they can simply use the gun they have.. makes sense.
Yeah but how would that be fun
Early 90's action movie logic at its finest.
Best Xmas movie of all time. Love the message
What’s the message?
I wanna see this Santa go against the Goldberg Santa
Krampus ain't got nothing on this Santa
Silent Night, Deadly Knight (1984) A slasher which had it's killer dressed as Santa winds up getting pulled from theaters after protests.
Violent Night (2022) Hold my Eggnog.
“It’s garbage day!”
Futurama had a psychotic robot, American Dad has a Santa gaining revenge but this version was on the side of good.
And this is why never mess with santa claus
Santa, turn around. You don’t want to miss that bad boy getting blown away.
If Santa was John Wick XD One of the best scene in the movie
the movie teach lesson that whatever kind of Santa Claus he is he's a nice good guy to the beloved ones I saw it in the end
I think I might’ve saw a trailer of that in theaters
Christmas the past 3 years
I loved this movie. It and Bullet Train were just great fun
Even santa has had enough of 2023
