I love the vs matches between committed serial killers and supernatural beings.
Not supernatural, but I did enjoy the serial killer thinking The Predators were going to be his friends.
@@dr.sweetchat6769 if bible and cross has an effect on vampires i think vampires are considered supernatural
Shanghai Knights had a funny little scrap with Jack the Ripper
@@dr.sweetchat6769Dracula's pretty much a supernatural monster though.
@@peterjamesgabinete5346 I wasn't clear, I meant The Predator isn't supernatural.
Nick Holt is so underrated actor. He need more roles in a big movies. That balance betwen a nice guy and a psychopath suits him so damn well.
He landed the role Lex, which I think is the perfect mix between psychopath and "nice guy" (fake nice of course)
Nick Cage as Dracula was the perfect outlets for Cage's more energetic output.
I love that they added in a character this cool just to kill him off in under a minute.
Where the hell have I heard the dude in the cars voice from again?
Stupid Ben Schwartz from Parks and Rec.
the worst.
@@TheCart54321 Ben Schwartz has been in a lot of things. He voices one of the kid ducks in the more recent DuckTales, Leonardo (blue) in Rise of the TMNT, and Sonic the Hedgehog in the live action movies. He has a lot of roles as just a person in non-cartoon-based live action roles too. (I don't know how else to word that last sentence, haha.)
This was an awesome movie. He's really come a long way since Skins.
His laugh at 0:10 sounds just like Dwight Fry in the 1931 Dracula movie (the original Renfield).
Exactly! It’s a great, subtle callback.
😊
Underrated. Reminds be of the horror actions from the 90s. Yes comedy too but there was a muuuuch greater emphasis on action and gore than I was expecting.
1:09 Brightburn all grown up!
This is the guy that played role of bad kid Supes in Brightburn??
Lol Brightburn would have ripped Renfield in half and then burned the remains.
@@mnomadvfx I was implying he looks like Brightburn if he was all grownup. That would be an interesting movie to see
Dude, the pen he stabbed the guy with, rolling away from the head at the end? Nice touch.
Renfield is basically a ghoul, human that drank vampie blood and has gained superhuman abilities.
Is that a thing? Ghoul generally references to a human flesh eating and cemetery dwelling undead/demon, with no rapport to vampires that I know of. Or is that specific to this movie?
@@cranederoc It was specific to the Dracula book by Stoker and it has also become cannon in the Vampire the Masquerade RPG. A ghoul in this case is a mortal servant fanatically devoted to a vampire, as a result of drinking his master's blood once per month or so. Ghouls of this type aren't quite ageless or immortal (in fact they are only barely considered any different from regular humans) but as long as they drink their master's blood they do not grow older and can potentially live for centuries. However one side effect of this obssesive devotion to an undead monster is that they sometimes develop unhealthy habits such as necrophilia, cannibalism and yes even eating the dead... In some rare cases though exceptionally strong-willed ghouls have managed to overcome their masters's bond and even kill the vampires. In this movie, Renfield appears to be this kind of ghoul. The undead cemetery dwelling ghoul you mention is actually based on the Ghuls of Arabic folklore that are also undead humans or in some cases evil genie spirits. Thus they are essentially two different kinds of beings.
Not just "basically", he is the quintessential ghoul archetype, on whom the ghouls of Vampire the Masquerade RPG and similar settings are based.
I see. More familiar with dnd then with vampire the masquerade, but knew about their middle eastern origin. Had a turkish friend that had Ghul as a last name@@arcotroll8530
Using the term "Ghoul" to refer as a vampiric servant (specifically one that drinks vampiric blood) is an invention of the tabletop roleplaying game (TTPRG) Vampire: The Masquerade. So it's understandable if this causes a bit of head-scratching! Ghouls in the more traditional (Arabic) sense also show up in Lovecraft's fiction (and the Call of Cthulhu TTRPG).
I have watch this movie,..
Couldn't stop laughing at Jean Ralphio in the car, half expecting the killer to be
Tom Haverford
This Renfield movie is always so funny to me. I feel like they casted this movie out greatly. There’s not one scene that is too overly corny. Great job on productions end.

@@mdc3227 for real haha
"There’s not one scene that is too overly corny"
It's like you didn't watch a single scene nick cage was in....
"Casted"? Not a real word...unless you're using it as a form of caste, which you're not. The proper word is _cast_ .
Love the twist on the Dwight Frye laugh 😅

The ska lyrics graffitied on the walls.... chef's kiss.
"Who are you?"
"A friend of caitlyns"
“More of an acquaintance.”
Love it !! Love it !!! What a movie an instant cult classic!!!
Absolutely loved this movie
I find the Barber of Seville playing in the background to be very funny.
@@vroucolaque5475 Oh...I guess they just sound similar then. I will look it up. Thank you for telling me.
The trailer already sold it for me but now I really wanna watch this movie
Serial Killer's mask reminds me of Brightburn.
I THINK THIS WOULD BE A GOOD MOVIE TO WATCH. might not be an award winning movie, most of them are not worth seeing, but this looks interesting and funny !!!
And it's metaphorical
It's goofy but so much fun. Well worth a watch
I enjoyed it
All I could think was he takes his UnderDog Energy Pill (insects) and presto lol
This is just flat out World of Darkness.
Slasher VS Vampire
Oh I've done the exact same thing lol. 90's game, Werewolf the Apocalypse, I recently acquired the book "Freak Legion: A Player's Guide to Fomori" which I then used to create a hulking, unstoppable, Jason Voorhies-ish nemesis to serve as a recurring villain. I actually made him so powerful it very nearly resulted in a TPK their first encounter, which really cemented him as a force to be reckoned with. Think about what it takes for ONE guy to intimidate an entire werewolf pack.
To give you an example I remember that first fight he managed to land a hit on the pack Ahroun for 7 levels of aggravated damage, none of which were soaked. The Ahroun successfully Rage-resuscitated back to full health and entered Frenzy, only to get immediately incapacitated by another hit which knocked him back out. Poor moon doggo acquired two Battle Scars in the span of about 8 seconds.
@@adamb89 Nice to meet another WoD player, its a game that needs more love honestly.
@@MrJustonemorevoice Provided we're talking WoD, not CoD. I respect what WW tried to do... Emphasis on "tried". I do like the combat in CoD, where you just add up your attack dice and subtract all the defense dice, then just roll that directly against health. Way faster than rolling attack, rolling defense, rolling damage, rolling soak... And when you got a high-dex pack, they're splittin their actions anyway so multiply that by like 3 for every single turn. A single 3 second combat round might take an hour real-time.
(Edit for the non-initiated trying to follow along. WoD = World of Darkness. CoD = Chronicles of Darkness. WW = White Wolf, the game studio.)
Ghoul, technically!
@@Akeche Correct, my bad XD

I want a movie about Apache Joe.
I thought Nicolas holt and nic cage were great together also I just love vampire movies
Underrated movie❤
This isn’t like any other horror movie I’ve seen, it’s very wholesome, mainly because of the two main characters, Renfield and Rebecca
Yo homie wareing the brightburn mask
Has now one noticed the mask is similar to bright burn 😊
this movie was just bats%%t crazy fun!
(pun very much intended)
I went to see this movie because of Chris McKay
He really redeemed himself after the failure of THE TOMORROW WAR

Didn't see the movie, but all the scenes look great. I'm not sure if i play too many video games, or the writers did but his looks like a video game level too me. Fight the minions then then the boss.
Never even heard of this film. No advertising, no wonder it bombed
Bon film❤
I think i would enjoy this film
I gotta watch now😂🤣🤣😂

Bruh on them spiders bad.
I thought he had already taken something because he was beating the crap out of everyone including the assassin guy when they first started fighting.
2:26 One Punch Man in a nutshell...
Well, that was GROSS😮!
Can we talk about how Sonic is a bad guy in this?
You wanna talk about how actors can have different roles? Nah, I'm good.
Okay? So you’re good with us talking about how Sonic is a bad guy in this since you don’t want to take the time to explain to us how actors can have different rules?
@@zach11241 Because I know they have different roles. I was just pointing out who the actor played. God what is so wrong with everyone on here!?

I thought it was gonna be a luchadore vs dracula from the thumbnail.

Nick is pretty. 😌
That guy is wearing the same mask as brightburn
Brightburn?!

BrightBurn ?
Know I understand why they cast Nicolas Hoult as Lex Luthor🤔👌
This film was fun but brainless. The normally pathetic Renfield is portrayed as a superhero in all but name, but Nic Cage’s over the top Dracula performance was worth the price of admission. Give us a full blown Nic Cage Dracula movie!!!
What’s the background music called?
From the opera Carmen by Bizet.
Recently watched this, wasn't too terrible
Yea... it was missing something. Not sure what. The Nicks were great. Could have done without the terrible yelling speech of Awkwafina. That was poorly cast, as she is just an awful actress.
Thanks for the heads up about Awkwardfinger. Now I am so sad that I won't be watching the movie after all because it did look like it might be funny.
@@jordanmc9015 Ye same feelings exactly about Awkwafina - I really don't understand why people keep hiring her.
It's not like she's the only young Asian actress in town.
I just thank the heavens that she had to pass up the role of Joy in Everything Everywhere All At Once because she would have ruined it - Stephanie Tsu killed it thankfully.
What is that song?
oh, i thought brightburn kid grew up....
😊
0:50 didn't know you could misuse background music so tragically
Didnt
Who invited Brightburn?
it doesn't work that fast
It actually takes a very long, long time for chloroform to knock you out. It's not a "oh no I'm ....*plop*" it's more like "OK good I've got about a minutes before I pass out, that should be plenty of time to just rip this rag away from my face." You're actually better off putting them in a choke hold if you know your form, you can knock someone out in just a few seconds that way.
Great. Just great. Now the movie about a supernatural being and his immortal servant seems unrealistic. Thanks a lot, pal.
It helps when you also cause concussions with them I suppose.
@@fooginc Dude, I was a storyteller for a Werewolf: The Apocalypse game for the better part of two decades. Don't even get me started on all the ways supernaturals can get disintegrated lol
My favorite (this never happened in my games, this is a story I picked up from one of them splatbooks) a guy repelled vampires with True Faith by presenting his credit card, and lambasting them with "Do you know who my dad is? Do you know what I can buy?!"
And his simple faith in being a total d-bag with daddy's money was faith nonetheless, which repelled the vamps. THAT is a World of Darkness.
Even when I hoof on it myself it usually takes a few minutes to really kick in :(
Dag man, I'd not cannibalize that degen either.
I have standards after all.
That hit didn’t make a lot of headway.....
...awesome !
I don’t know why the trailers didn’t include any of the action in this movie.
0:35 Does this smell like chloroform to you?
He was a hired assassin not a serial killer.
he cuts off his victims tongues so maybe he is a serial killer too
Anyone who dresses like that isn't some normal person just moonlighting as a contract killer.
@@mnomadvfx He is 100% a contract killer lol. That's literally the definition- get a contract to kill someone go kill them- contract killer.
@@mrjujuice5484 Maybe he's both, collecting bodyparts is not common in contract killers, he loves and enjoy his "work" too much
I am not fond of vampire movies after that terrible 'interview with a vampire ' junk. but this looks funny .
the producers understood that Cage could not bring in the modern audience so they put akwafina in there. good call
Looks so bad at 1:34! How hard is it to create a prosthetic stomach, put a shirt on it and cut it! Its a morning's work ffs.
Dear god film makers a lazy now.
Uggghhhh.
Ben Schwartz.
Again?!?!
This movie is both stupid and sublime.
They do jump cuts while he's doing cool moves to avoid the knives and then show the worst CGI of Joe's head. That's some pretty terrible directing and editing.
first! pin?
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Second! Pin?
A three minute video with 30 seconds of commercials???
Hard pass!👎👎👎
This wasnt as great as a movie as they said it would be
This generation has no clue what good movies are anymore. What a stupid movie.
Movie mostly sucked lots of typical super hero slo-mo and the typical mary sue character for no reason very bad writing , no real story at all .. only reason to see it are the few scenes with Nick Cage everything elses is mehh at best
