- Bali, Indonesia is a tropical paradise full of lush greenery, breathtaking cliffs, dreamy rice fields, and a vibrant digital nomad community... but every region Bali is vastly different from one another and NOT for everyone. In this video, I compare two of the most popular regions on Bali: Uluwatu and Canggu.

Wow this is such a nice, concise and informative video. Love all the added B-roll to show what you are talking about. So excited to experience it myself in November! 🤩
Fantastic video! Very proud of your accomplishments and eagerness to partake in so many beautiful cultures. Bless you! ❤
Thanks again Crosby...i really enjoy your spirited presentations. It was also fun when you had your friends involved but you can stand on your own as well. Nice!
Bali is amazing place. I appreciate the detailed breakdown of all the best places to visit and things to do in Bali and very proud of your accomplishments to partake in different cultures around the world.
Every vlogger needs to take lessons from you. Short sharp to the point and super informative. Thank you!
My favorite places to stay when I was visiting Bali were Nusa Dua and Ubud. One place I did not like at all was Kuta Beach. You are so right to point that Bali is much bigger that it looks on a map. I spent 3 months there in several trips when I was living in Indonesia, exploring different parts of the island every trip, and I have not seen everything.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Hi Crosby Grace Travels! Your video comparing Canggu and Uluwatu in Bali was incredibly insightful. It's evident that you've immersed yourself in various cultures and experiences. Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to more of your travel insights and recommendations!
Great video!!! I was worry about Uluwatu vs canggu and this video just made up my mind! Thanks.
Iam from indonesia but just once went to bali... just in sanur, denpasar ,klungkung, canggu, thats looooong time a go when i was in high school and now i almost 39 years old.. i hope i can going there again with my lover. I really want to eat bali foods...
Great video, as always!!!! Stay safe and stay healthy, girl!!! Bunch of love!
Thank you so much!
So far best and clear reviews about those locations
Hi Crosby
Great video and very informative. Thank you.
Love you long time❤
First 2 nights of my 3 week Bali vacation will be in Uluwatu. Relax a bit after a long flight. Next will be 3 nights in Canggu. After seeing this video I think Uluwatu is a perfect destination to end for 1 or 2 nights again before going back to the Netherlands. Great video, thanks!
Thanks for your tips!
SUCH an informative video!! TY
Will be travelling to Bali soon. I love how your videos are short and yet informative. I cant watch a video longer than 30 mins due to my attention span. lol
Your description is concise and easy to understand
I'm glad to hear that!
Well done. I love how you deliver the content
Glad you enjoy it!
THANK YOU.. LOVE FROM BALI, INDONESIA 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗
Booked my trip to stay in Ubud and Canggu but now I might stay in Uluwatu instead of Canggu since I feel more at home in Uluwatu with the chill vibess
Me 2!
Great video!!
Awesome content and update 👌🌴
Thank you :) this is very helpful
Thank you so much for this video❤You helped me to decide where to go in Bali. Definitely Uluwatu is what I’m looking for🙌🏻
Have the best time!
Please be your friend get number be friend ❤x
You men love you l no got girl friend ❤💋
Awesome!!!! Very informative... Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Very brief clear & complete explanation , thank u smart girl 👍💪
Bali is heaven on earth ❤
Yes, I think it's impossible not to come back to Bali)) When I was in Uluwatu, the Drealand beach was a no name one and Canggu was a simple quite place😁 so it's time to come back now!
wow very helpful content friend
Great videos and youre so fun to watch! Are there good spots to hang a hammock in Uluwatu? Thx!
Beautiful island😎
This is such a great comparison between the two! I probably would feel more at home in Uluwatu as well especially with how more laid back it is and that it has less traffic. I still would love to experience both someday though. Awesome video Crosby! This was very well done!
Great to hear!! Thanks so much
yea, how cool, promoting an island that is completly over ran by turist and influencers like this, dum ass!
many traditional foods that you have not tried to eat. and you still see around the beach
😊😀😁😀😁😀👍👍
You should head to Amed next, away from packed crowds and cheaper laid back beach front accomodations with stunning beaches for snorkeling/diving
Beautiful
Lovely Grace
Love the vlog. Keep it up!
Thank you!!
Hi Crosby, I just watched both of your videos about Canggu and Uluwatu. super helpful. Ill definitely stay a bit more in Uluwatu than Canggu. One question tho - In Canggu there probably super easy to connect with other digital nomads via FB groups, co-works etc. I am thinking of going to yoga and surf classes. but it would be great to have ''friends'' already before arriving there :)
Do you have any tips and tips on how to join a community and make friends there fast, some FB, or WhatsApp groups or any thing that coms to your mind??
Mantap 👍❤🇮🇩
Come check out Hatch in Ulu next time you're here!
I’ve been following you for a few months. Good job. It’s sounds like you’re moving on from Bali.
Comparing Uluwatu (you’re fav) to your favorite beach community in Mexico. Which would you choose. Namaste, Staff
I still feel more at home in Mexico but Uluwatu is definitely up in the top 3 places I could see myself staying in for a long while!
@@CrosbyGraceTravels
I admire your journey Crosby.
“The person that says, she has gotten there is on her way back!” They may be looking for passengers to Mars:)) always look forward, it hurts your neck to look back. Namaste, Staff
Interesting with different perspective. I didn't think the traffic in Canggu was too bad tbh. I liked the area because you can walk to different restaurants or take a Gojek and reach your destination in maximum 10min. Uluwatu imo is more spread out, takes longer time to go to different places and the traffic in Ungusan is crazy. Haha.
After listening to your youtube, I noticed, you've got a good warrior voice, flow and delivery.
Excellant enunciation and clarity.
Try rapping please with baseball cap backwards.
Looking forward to hearing your rap about Bali one day
Thank you for the tips❤, you said that uluwatu is good for surfers but can we swim (no surfing) easily or there is a lot of waves and stream?
I hope to go to Bali one day!!! Bucket 🪣 list 💕💕
Great video 👏🏼 Totally agree, Uluwatu has the best vibe! Ubud is very nice as well but too far from the beaches. As a surfer, the difference with Canggu and Uluwatu is beach break waves are in Canggu and reef break waves are in Uluwatu.
Thanks for sharing!!
What would you say is the difference between the two types of waves? I'm a beginner/intermediate surfer (did a surf camp week in Australia years ago and picked it up really quickly) and dying to pick up surfing again when I go traveling again in November (I start in Bali)
I like your video's!
Can you recommend some hotels or apartments in ULUWATU or CANGGU, please?
I'm planning my trip for a few months in Bali...
Canggu is just develop last couple year.. like what you say "backpacker hub & digital nomad".. for you who looking more calm (compare canggu), mature, idling or with family dont forget to back to decade ago fav area like kuta, seminyak, nusa dua ( nusa dua mostly five star hotel & where intl meeting event happen)..
Do you reckon Canggu is the best place to live full time in Bali? Looking at moving over there to live permanently next year or to Panama.
Lovly
So helpful, much appreciated
Great video! Curious if you enjoy Indonesia or Mexico more? I love Mexico but going to Lombok+ Gilis next trip. We are so lucky to have Mexico a quick flight away and (easy 3-6m visa) but so fun to experience new cultures!
I love them both for different reasons. Indonesia definitely has the most natural wonders and adventure in such a condensed area, but I feel more comfortable and at home in Mexico. It comes down to personal preference of course, but I will definitely be back to both places in the future!
@@CrosbyGraceTravels thks for sharing-Me too! Haven’t been to SE Asia in 20 yrs, looking fwd to bringing my kids this yr, but also dreaming of returning to Mexico, so many more places to explore there too. Traveling is the best 👌😎
The language barrier is challenging in SE asia with so many diff languages to learn! I appreciate how Spanish is spoken in so many countries in Latin America. Easy to learn + connect with ppl and make an effort to show respect/gratitude for being a guest in their country. In Asia, speaking English, I feel disrespectful at times, expecting ppl to understand me. I wish I could learn more languages!! I’m learning malay/Indonesian basics for this trip. I do love when I meet ppl in villages who are excited to converse/practice their English 💜
How’s the weather and wave for surfing like in December in Ulu?
you're a godsend
Finally
riding the scooter around Uluwatu with all those hills and turns was a little crazy.. also had a dog run after me with the intent of biting me..
yea
There used to be a time where you could enjoy Canggu and Uluwatu easily in the same day, and drive your motorbike quite swiftly between the two (pre 2014). Just a 45-60min ride. Not, and never, again.
❤
First!
If be lying if I didn’t tell you that I look forward to your videos every week. Ever thought about Japan? 😅
Aw that's great to hear! And YES I'm dying to visit!!
you are so beautiful, great at speaking, extraordinary, Bali needs someone like you, I hope you feel at home in Bali, greetings
Canggu and Uluwatu are beautiful, but they are only 10% part of the other beautiful destinations in Bali. Enjoy your trip... 🤩
You’ve got that right! Love how diverse Bali is 🙌
Very informative vlogs!!🍻🍻.
I would like to ask if you need to have a driver's liscence in order to hire a scooter? Thank you😊
Q: can you leave your passport and your hotel area or Airbnb? Is that trust?
how about Ubud???
Canggu sounds very stressful, esp compared to Uluwatu.
Bali is an island, but also sort of a a little island country in it's own right.
Nice view
Take care you self and carefully
Maybe can travel together whit you my dear
Nice to meet you from Malaysia

I would hesitate on giving surfing recommendations as someone who doesn't surf, FYI. If someone actually surfs, they know where to find good information surrounding surfing. And if someone does not surf, you may be pointing them in a poor direction. Uluwatu is not a good place to surf for beginners, the wave can be very heavy with shallow reef, and it's very crowded so it can be quite dangerous. And it's not like Ulu needs any more surfers flocking to it! Just something to keep in mind when commenting on a world you are not familiar with. Cheers!
I love Uluwatu, but the only thing I hate is the road condition 💀💀💀💀 narrow street, so many uphill drive, bad street lighting.
It's definitely intimidating! You trade in the traffic for some sketchy roads I guess 😂
The uluwatu is amazing, but in terms of friendly accomodation Canggu is number one
Sanur 4 me
Things have changed in Bali- the rent & food prices are outrageous and have tripled with WAY too many people/crime there now! Do NOT go STAY AWAY unless you have tons of money! Go to the Philippines - so CHEAP and beautiful!!!!
I would come to any place which CZcamsrs DONT come😉
As a person who stay at canggu ubud is way more famous to a tourist compare to canggu
Yes nice. U make video from uluwatu and changgu. Already 10.000+++++ videos on youtube. Better u show the west, that people who lives there. Need tourist for income Not your advertisements
But. Great video anyway. But i hope u will travel to west bali. Jembrana / negara area. Than u can see the REAL bali.
What a dumb comment, she’ll go there when she can she’s not made of money. If they need money then they should advertise or find another way not prey on people to make their living.
M in Canguu writing this
Can not believe the cost of living and accommodation
This place is just a moonscape of random vacant blocks of land then an overpriced bar / restaurant with western prices, dirty shitty place with storm water run off straight into the beach break
Crappy vibes, constant noise, plenty o wankers as well
Choose wisely my friends
Surfer's paradise soon to be destroyed by CZcams influencers ....
It won't take long for the expats to ruin Uluwatu too. So sad what has happen this beautiful island because of the almighty dollar.
To many lost leblanc videos for this Sheila
The best places in Bali is where the V-loggers, CZcamsrs, digital nomades and all the other narcissists don't come.
Yes, those areas are less crowded and way cheaper and peaceful 😅
Where are they?
@@justynareczka9685 mostly north, north east, west, north west etc where there's little to none surfing scene
😂
Absolutely agree 100%
"WRONG" !!!! LOOOOL.... you are so funny !!!
