    This newer Crimson is actually a newer build (along with pine green 3, Georgetown 3, etc) - thinner tongue, revised collar shape and stitching, toecap cement print less drastic, revised overall shape. I wonder if anything internally (foam) has changed as well. They feel way better on foot.

    So I’m looking for a basketball shoe to mostly use outside on my street or on an outside court but sometimes use indoors too. I was thinking between the kyrie infinity 8 and the kd 14. Which one would be better or is there another shoe I should consider. I watched both your videos on them and the kds have a more durable sole but the kyries have a more durable fabric on the toe. I’m mostly looking for durability so it can last longer but I do also want a good grip.

    • @jrdatrackstar
      @jrdatrackstar Před 7 měsíci

      I swear my 2013 Fire Red 3s are so dang comfy, so much so that I want to hoop in them (but need another pair before I beat these). My 2018 Black Cements feel like bricks compared to those, but the midsole of the 2018s is also holding up to cracking and wear much better. I’d gladly trade the midsole not cracking for the comfort of the 2013s.

    After 1 year, I wore them several times and the midsole became really hard and uncomfortable.
    I love the 8´s but I didn’t keep the bugs bunny 2013. I still have the 6 Bred and Carlin and the carmin are hella hard. But now even the 10 don’t have cushionning. If you can find the double nickel 2015 and compare with the 2016 and after AJ 10 to tell where is the difference.

    I have the black-cement version of the ones you have in the video. Growing up, I had the original 1s, 3s and 6s and I can say with 100% certainty NONE of the re-releases are remotely close to the quality of the originals. Case-in-point... the originals broke in so nicely and cleanly. Even the rubber in the out-soles was a better quality. Honestly... all of the re-releases were poorly made with inferior materials. All of the re-releases are gimmick shoes and not worth the money. I have the retro 6s and though they are breaking in better than the 3s... the retro 6s are still not great. FYI.. I've always said the original 3s were better than the original 6s. When I was in school and bought the originals, I sued them for basketball, volleyball and even badminton.... solely because after spending $149.99 CAD for the 3s and $169.99 for the 6s, mom would not buy me any more shoes, so they HAD to be multi-sport shoes (haha).
