This Album got me through a real TOUGH 4 months at a lock-down Rehab center! Kicking Booze and Heroin. I pretty much listened to this Album the whole time doing puzzles and hittn the weights every day. It gave me the inspiration to kick Methadone in there! 65mil. TO NOTHING!!!! No more HAND CUFFS!!! The struggle is real. But, today I will do ANYTHING to stay sober, and wake up tomorrow and try again!!! Thanks so much for this Post!!!! 🤗🤘🤘🤘🤘💪

The line: YOU CAN LEAD ME TO THE BLOODBATH, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE ME DRINK! (22:15) is so fucking powerful to me. It conjures up images of defiance, of speaking out against injustice and a whole lot of nostalgia from different times...
This album was my childhood when it first came out. I drove my Mom nuts playing it on repeat whole playing my Dreamcast. Such a underrated and underappreciated band.
Heard this album when I was around ten. Bought it from target. Later in life I was addicted to drugs and alcohol and experienced a lot of abuse. I am now clean and sober 55 day. Thank God. God is good. I'm not holding onto my anger anymore. I choose love ✌️🤟🩵🌄😀🇷🇼
This album is SOOOOO old, but their BEST in my eyes. Saw them too many times to count ( Old Skewl Cali style) back in the day. Saw them with THRICE & The Deviates in the beginning of their first tour. Love that you wee ones still luv em' , though.... They've changed unfortunately. Still holding ALL our peeps in light and love. They DID sell out. But I won't stop listening to their ORIGINALS!! We even played with them at the OFF RAMP, YEARS & YEARS ago. Time & cash changes people unfortunately. Blessings to them and theirs.😊
"selling out" is such a childish stupid thing to call being successful and feeding your family. Wish I could go back and slap myself for being such a douche talking about such things in my youth. lagwagon wrote a song about it called "know it all" and it really says it all. Hoewever it is kind of gross they put this out on geffen, seeing as how david geffen helped courtney and dave kill kurt.
First time i hear this album on music store maybe in 2000,the staff of that store played this music..so i buy this album, and i ❤️..this is awesome album from Rise Againts
The album that got me into music in full. Life less frightening still takes me back to the guide i used to complete my hunter quest when i was 13 playing wow.
I'm happy to see this album is starting to get the credits it deserves. Even though it was over 10 years since it was released, this was a common play in my college years among other things.
countdown to the very end, equality an invitation that we wont extend... if they kept the intensity of state of a union for a whole album , a "moshasterpeice" if you will, id be extremely content. rock/metal colabs... rise against + cky, slipknot + alexis, system + rage wish ,ore bands would work/play/travel together or even play ever again lol anyways 2022 if your listening, good for you👍
When I was about 16 I remember feeling like I had gotten too old for these songs but now in my 30s I'm connecting with rise against on a deeper level than I ever have. Fuck being too old this world needs a revolution
They still mean something. Are you one of those people who only like the old stuff and believe they sold out now or do you not bother understanding the lyrics or giving the new stuff a chance with a lot of there newer albums? Honestly all there albums are great. Never a bad song from them.

@@ChrisTopher-vh8tu I agree that those albums are great. I am not familiar enough with their new stuff to know whether I like it or not. However, about the same time I got into these guys I got into flobots, was maybe that time of life. This album still has amazing power behind it, I'll have to check out their new stuff.
Same. The only reason I heard of them was from their song "Give it all" being in Need for Speed Underground 2s soundtrack. Otherwise I mightve missed these guys entirely. They're awesome.
What happened to the rage against the system spirit of these bands??? It's so upsetting to watch these guys pretty much just give in... I loved these guys, this album kept the fight alive within me. But where are they today? 🤷
@ThePsychonaut think what he's trying to say is there music now doesn't have as much as a impact as there older material in other words Rise Against kinda got forgotten about.Bands like Bad Religion and Pennywise Face to Face stuck to a formula and it worked which kept them relevant.

Keep up the good work
Well said sir… I’ve got 5 years under the belt from heroin, crack, coke, pills, and literally anything else.
Keep on keepn on!
Whatever inspiration you can find, use it... I didnt use this album for anything but rockin out, its a great album
29 years locked up. These guys were an inspiration to get out and do good.

And it will be in 10 years time..iconic melodic skatepunk

good music rise against low-key underrated
this is the only album in existence I can enjoy from the very first minute to the last :')
9th grade when this one was released....I never actually heard the whole album until now I just loved the ones they played on the Radio. CHEERS
Sadly, no upcoming albums wil be like this..
And that's ok, because we got this gold, and the band is allowed to change and grow.
Sufferer and the wittness
Much better than every subsequent album.

I dunno
Alguien mas aqui por give it all?
It's 2/8 the day after the state of the union... next time just play track one and save everyone time
This is why people like this band... everything else I've heard by them is overproduced and weak.
Everything else after (!) this album. Unraveling and RPM were awesome, too.
Haven't heard their whole discography yet, but I did find "Appeal To Reason" had some great songs as well

The way I see it is that it was the best up until after Endgame, from there it wasn’t quite as good but still solid songs imo.

Shame this band is now the siren sound of whatever the money says to be 😂 album was dank. A fuckin shame to be sure but not much else is left to say
I don't think it's that man. Most bands only have 1 amazing album in the chamber. Hard to live up to greatness
