I still can't get over how well Bill's style transitioned to 3D.
His entire hiatus was him learning 3D animation so it does make sense.

Yeah, a lot of 7/4ish tunes are so obviously "different" to the point that the signature is hard to ignore, for better or worse. Don't get me wrong: I love music altetnating between signatures or just switching back and forth between duple and triple.
Here, it feels more like 7/4 (alternating, 6/8 and 4/4?) best serves *the song,* the additional energy it needed, and "pop" the song and lyrics demanded.
Like, Take Five is a classic, but the focus is the 5/4 clave (whether that was intentional on Desmond's/Brubeck's part, I don't know...but _they did noticed at some point enough to call the tune Take _*_Five)_*
The fact that I don't bother trying to feel the time signature as much makes it feel like Bill had a more holistic approach.

I don’t think he’s referring to dream as an escape mechanism. Instead I think he’s talking about dreaming of a better world, and truly believing that that that world is achievable.
OH MY GOSH. I have to comment, the ending just gave me chills. A whole song about how beautiful the dreams are, how it's more than just a dream, and then it ends: Today I woke up. Over. No explanation, no resolution, the dream is done.

Despite the lyrics being so ethereal and literally about dreams, this is ironically one of Bill's more lyrically comprehensive songs, in the sense that the subject remains the same throughout the video. Also killer chords once again, I live for those!

maybe his lyrics seem nonsensical if you are viewing them outside of their musical context, but combining them with the music gives them so much more meaning, as with all of his music. although i struggle to see how they're nonsensical in the first place, he's just not afraid of balancing seriousness with playfulness
It's still nice to see how Bill translates his usual artistic quirks into 3D now. The 3D guy retains the charm of the old 2D ones from older videos, for one. I was also waiting for him to turn one of his 2D scribbles into a 3D one, yet I was still caught off-guard when it actually happened.
