    Sir, there's not enough words to describe my gratitude. Planned a BBQ with the family for Father's Day and our old grill was experiencing issues. After trying to figure out what the issue was and almost giving up we decided to resort to CZcams. Followed your instructions and now our grill is working like brand new in under 5 minutes. You've just saved my family's Father's day activities. Saying thank you doesn't feel like enough, wish the best for you and your loved ones.
    Happy Father's day everyone 🎉❤

    Had my grill not working for about a week. I was about to go buy a new one. I googled "gas grill will not stay lit" and it brought this video up. Went outside, followed the directions above and bingo, my grill is working again. Thanks for the info. I have been grilling for 25 years and never heard of what this guy did.
    Also, love the dogs playing in the mud!
    Thanks for the info!

    Thank you so much! I started having this problem with my grill about 2 months after buying it. I wasted so much money exchanging propane tanks thinking I kept getting defective ones. I haven't been able to grill since last summer and was ready to buy another grill until I saw your video. I followed your instructions on resetting the regulator and now my grill turns on and stays on! You've no doubt saved me so much money. Thank you!!

    Thank you! You just saved me buying a new BBQ. We've had ours for 11 years (was a wedding present from friends) and I thought it was done. But it's now back in business thanks to your handy step-by-step instructions. I'm not a technical person and would probably not even have thought to try to fix it except that it did turn on and the flame did light, but only slightly and then it would go out. That made me wonder if something just needed to be cleaned (because, cleaning, I can do; fixing, not so much). I searched "BBQ doesn't light completely" and your video came up right away. Worked like a charm. Thanks for sharing your technical skills with us non-technical people!

    Wow!! I couldn’t light my Cuisinart grill which I haven’t even owned for a year. After emailing back and forth and being on hold with customer service, I got nowhere. (although they did return my email and scheduled a call back for after the weekend). Anyway, I thought for sure we wouldn’t be barbecuing this weekend but thanks to you and your very easy, simple instructions, I got the thing to light!! I am soooo dang happy : -) Thank you for making this video.

  • @larryborshard7824
    @larryborshard7824 Před 5 dny

    Great demo of the regulator reset process. But I needed to find a diagnostic checklist, starting with the tank, through to the burner. I had hissing where the regulator attaches to the tank and found a damaged (or never refurbished) seal in the tank valve (thanks, Blue Rhino refurbishers!). I replaced the tank, and no start, no propane smell. I learned how to bleed the tank, but that didn't help. Tried to reset the regulator, not sure if I turned on the tank valve too fast, but still nothing. Detached the regulator rubber hose from the grill braided hose, still no propane. Tried the regulator and hose on two spare tanks, and got very little smell from one, no smell from the other. Got a new regulator, but still no propane from the tank. Tried it on the two spare tanks, and plenty of propane! Changed tanks, connected the regulator, reconnected the regulator hose, didn't hear or smell propane in the grill. (Is there a valve that limits the flow of gas unless there's a flame?) Disconnected the hose, realized the old style internally threaded "new" regulator took more torque to seat fully, but still no smell or sound of propane in the burners. Took a tire valve, held it on the grill braided hose, and blew air (hail Mary, while the hoses were disconnected). Reconnected the hose, and the burner lit. Conclusion: faulty tank valve (two in one week), AND failed regulator. Not real sure that I needed to blow out the line, but chicken soup - didn't hurt, maybe helped. So from now on, I think I'll take a spare regulator from my turkey fryer to test the tank first. Hope this helps!
