Thanks for sharing your experiences. For the first two regrets, you can consider addressing them by replacing with smart switches e.g. the Broadlink LC1, which I personally use. Smart switches can enable simulation of double switches, and also enable more than one light to be turned on at the same time by a single button. App and voice controls (via Google Home) is a bonus e.g. I turn off most lights at home with a voice command while in bed.
Hi Syamsul, haha thanks for the suggestion! We didn’t think of it back then during renovation and it seems like a huge overhaul to install the smart switches, but we’ll definitely check out if it’s possible/not too tedious 😅 thanks for sharing!

@@HowNowTaobao Don’t worry about it. Smart switches are really easy to install (but pls pls take proper precautions like turn off the mains at your DB box first - or else engage an electrician if you don’t want to DIY). Just get the type that does not require neutral wire, like the Broadlink LC1. I installed mine only a few years after moving in, after I faced the same annoyances that you have.

Haha sounds like smart switches was your life saver! But yes, noted on making sure the electricity is fully off. Will get my husband and dad to help with that when we get down to it 😂

Haha yes!! In the end we don’t really use the “smart” function, so good to evaluate your potential lifestyle!
Great...my id actually suggested the two way switchs & its quite convenient too.But personally now I don't use the entrance light also😅...As for the mirrors for toilets, I just DIY-ed from ikea😁.
Haha ya! We have "entrance lights" for our rooms also and it's honestly such a waste (to me). And yes, the DIY mirror while it is less "fanciful" is more practical and cost efficient!
Actually u can change to motion sensor lights at the entrance foyer ;)
That’s true! But because it’s so near the kitchen (where we walk in and out frequently), I think it might spoil faster than usual
