- Hello everyone, my name is Naraly (nair-a-lee), last year I attended CSU Bakersfield for my first year of college. I decided to make a CZcams video to help other students who have no idea how the dorms look like since the school hasn’t uploaded their own videos… I’m hoping this can help a couple of people.
Now, this video was recorded on my phone so I am very sorry if the quality is bad! I am trying my hardest to make my next video better in quality so please bare with me! Other than that please feel free to contact me thru any social media platforms which I have provided in this description. Enjoy!

I see the GIVEN poster!!! I live in LA too. I enrolled for Sac n Bakersfield both already said yes so I might just go for a 2h away than a 6hour uni

Hello, I also live 2 hours away from Bakersfield (I live in Los Angeles) but I have been able to come home every 2 weeks. They’re two places for transportation (FlixBus and Amtrak)
@@naralykely i live near LA too !! would u be able to make a video on how to use those two transportations? i tried to look at the amtrak site but it keeps saying “service not available”
@@ladykocho9308 I’m sorry for not making a video I’ve been pretty busy with school, but during spring break I’m going to try and make a video. I use FlixBus for transportation from Bakersfield to LA since the train doesn’t go up to Bakersfield.
What were your stats/extracurriculars if you don’t mind me asking? I’m applying this cycle and I’m really scared 😭😭
@@yass.456 im not the og commenter but i got in Csub and I didn’t take the sat or the act. I was not in any clubs but I did take 10 ap classes, I also did no sports lol so as long as you did well in your classes and were in one or more extracurricular activities if you had less than 4 ap classes I’d say you’d get in!

Thanks a lot for the video, going in august and I've been trying to find people going here too😭 I've been looking through insta and twitter there's nothing 😭. I would try talking to my roommate but CSUB hasn't given me one yet. Any tips???
Lol yeah I felt that… that’s why I made this video to show others how it looks. My only advice would be to take advantage of the resources and make friends. I’m going to make a CZcams video explaining my first year experience, advice etc. (:

What was the exact name of your suite? Was it large size, doubles? I forgot what names there were but what type of dorm is this? Love your room btw! Going to be a freshman there next yr :D
Hello! So there’s Pinyon and Juniper. The hall I stayed in was Pinyon, double. All dorms have a suite. Hope this helps!
I'm going in August and I'm a little nervous about roommates and everything so basically roommates are allowed now even with Covid?
Yes. For 2021-2022 we were able to get roommates. Since we have Covid screenings and people are vaccinated they allowed it. They also lifted the mask mandate recently so hopefully next fall a lot more things will be open for students that live on campus like the housing study rooms, gaming room, etc.

Take advantage of the resources here at CSUB, Make sure to always communicate with your roommates and make no damages to the dorms or you will get damages fees, also go out and explore the campus! It’s pretty small, but during fall and spring the campus looks so amazing. Hope this helps!
CSUB housing is cheap or outside ??
Are there any malls like Costco, etc.
