Stranger Things 4 Series Description:

Eddie and Max's final scenes break me so hard that I even cry when I watch other people react to it. Epic scene. Amazing series.
I was crying to episode 4 reactions for a month and now it's on to crying to episode 9 reactions. I'm hoping I'll stop crying, eventually.
I've seen almost all the damn reactions (20+) and i STILL find myself crying at the same scenes (especially Eddies' death).

I cry every single time I watch there scenes it's so sad especially Max's scene it was really bad because she is one of my favorite characters
remember that the upside down is stuck in the time that will first disappeared. now tthe upside down is crossing into the real world. there will be some sort of point where eleven undoes literally everything that has happened (but she wont survive) thats my predicition for the end of ST. myabe some flash backs and flash forwards of Barb being alive again, maybe Eddie and Chrissy together dating, all in some ending series montage right at the end. bet you any money.
Had Eddie not sacrificed himself, those bats would have entered the right side up world and would have killed hundreds of people. Like Dusty buns said, he sacrificed himself to save a town that hated him. RIP the best character this whole season. He will be missed.

@@ColombianThunder ok yeah maybe but still eddie did NOT have to just stop and accept his fate, at least keep running, try to find somewhere to hide or a good vantage point to fight, just seemed like a cop out because of a lack of balls to kill off a main character which they have done in seasons 2, 3 and now 4 (bob then billy, now eddie) the finale had lots of problems but this one really bugged me.
Eddie didn't have to sacrifice himself, but he graduated from a child to a man, from a normal adventurer to a hero. Adults don't have to make sacrifices but we do it anyways for the greater good, hoping it leads to our loved ones safety. Eddie did it because in that moment, he felt he could do more than just run away, because he loved Dustin and, to a lesser degree, everyone.
I really appreciate that Eleven didn't say she loved Papa or understood him as he died. She didn't owe him that.
Yeah, "Good-Bye" was enough for him. The actor Mattew Modine was in many good movies in the 80's, "Birdy" is one of them.

Of course, but it’s still sad that even though she understandably does not forgive him for everything he’s done even to the last hours they had together, there was love there and reasonable concern from Brenner about her safety in going after Vecna. But then that’s the fatal flaw he relapsed into, taking her choice away from her and it was far too late when it finally clicked for him. And him realising what he’d done wrong in the end, begging her to understand that it was never malicious, but not getting that affirmation because he never actually made any of that right, makes his story a tragedy.
I never blamed Eddie for running after Chrissy’s death, cause frankly who wouldn’t after what he saw? Still RIP Eddie! Thanks for the reaction Mellverse!

He did it because it was the right thing to do, a true hero
he trusted Dustin, and did everything he could for a cause he barely had time to join. a true hero.
I mean Eddie also did it because he watched Chrissy get levitated from the ground and her bones snapped into pieces in front of his eyes. So after seeing that, and having someone give any *slightly plausible* explanation. I’d trust it and fight bc I wouldn’t wanna see that happen again 😂

Stranger Things season 4 was, unironically, one of the best seasons of TV I've ever seen. The Duffer Brothers have cemented themselves in my mind as master storytellers.

@@testpattern23 I’m sure they added some sound effects in post-production, but Jamie Campbell Bower didn’t use a voice modulator or anything for Vecna. It was all him. He has done interviews on it and the stranger things writers even tweeted a video of him recording lines for Vecna.
I don't think Eddie's death was in vain or a dumb decision at all. We found out in episode 6 (when Steve got pulled into the Upside Down and attacked) that the bats are basically guards for Vecna. Nancy's plan for Eddie and Dustin was for them to distract the bats guarding Vecna's house so they could go in and kill him while he was vulnerable. If Eddie had left with Dustin, the bats would have gone back to the house and either killed Steve, Nancy, and Robin while they were still tied up, or alerted Vecna so he could kill them instead. Regardless, Eddie sacrificing himself gave those 3 the time to wound Vecna. Will mentioned that Vecna is still "hurting", so their attack was very important. They hadn't signaled that it was okay to move onto the next phase of the plan, so Eddie was actually clever in buying more time, and he didn't want to endanger Dustin. RIP Eddie

I’ve never felt so traumatised over a TV death as Eddie’s. The two days later when everyone except Dustin forgot hurts me because yes they didn’t know him well but he didn’t know them well either and he DIED for them. They didn’t look like they even cared. I worry for Dustin next season

That sounds like a fan service move. He was a great character, but the only capacity I can see him coming back in is archive footage or a vision (i.e. Billy).
I was traumatized over Howard's death in Better Call Saul but Eddie's death was traumatized as well even the cheerleader in episode one was traumatized.
Finally someone who appreciated mikes speech I'm seeing alot of Finn can't act/why does she need a man to feel strong. But she doesn't need that she needs affirmation that she is loved because el lost her dad last year and moved in the same year from the only comfort she's ever had (her friends) she needed that push when vecna got in her head and Mike gave it to her 😌👏👏👏 as he should. And it makes sense why it took him so long HE IS 14 saying I love you. Also Mike is a character who expresses love through actions i.e. why he was so sure he's said it or that she knew. But she needs it in words. This year they both learnt that about eachother and hopefully grow through that. Mike now knows she needs words of affirmation whilst Mike's fine with just actions.
I definitely think Finn did amazing on that monologue, but I don't like it because I feel like Mike was a little dishonest in his speech. Although he does love Eleven.
I'm still angry & sad the cast didn't get nominated for an Emmy!. They really deserved it, best acting I've seen in a long time
I'm assuming El restarted her heart with her powers ... but her consciousness is with Venca... remember Benner says he consumes everything... also just a side note they played the same song when we thought will was dead in season 1 when Eddie and max both died ... so maybe we'll get everyone back somehow

Eddie had to lead the bats away. They led them right to the gate back. The bats were just going to follow them through into our world. He realized that. He knew what would happen, but he also knew it NEEDED to happen.

The 4th gate got opened when Max died so it was already open when Max was brought back to life - it was said that the ones Venca killed are with him so thats why 11 couldnt find her in her mind, Max is in Vecnas

This season was unbelievable. I couldn't believe what happened. That metallica scene? ICONIC!!!! Cried my eyes out for Eddie and Max. The guy who actually plays vecna also does his voice. Amazing actor. That's also really him on screen that ain't no CGI. 8 hours of makeup that shit is INSANE!!! The duffer Brothers really outdid themselves with this series and season!! LET'S GOOOOO SEASON 5!!!!
when i saw you tearing up in the beginning of this volume, i thought, "oh no, he's not ready!" ...and how upset you got about eddie. man, you're not the only one. a lot of ppl connected with him. i was most upset about everything being blamed on him and hellfire. i'm glad dustin had a moment with his uncle, at least. and i really hope he's redeemed & acknowledged in season 5.

The reason Eddie took off in the trailer instead of going with Dustin was because the bats would follow them back into their world, putting both Dustin and the trailer park in danger.

Eddie made the right choice! There was a hole leading to our world inside that trailer and even though Vecna got hurt really bad by Eleven, those bats would have caused mayhem until they drop down dead. Rest in peace, Eddie the banished!

Yeah his face looks amazing and its an achievement what they did with the make up. but the body just looked like he was wearing a suit and not his real skin
If Eddie hadn't stopped the bats, they would have entered the real world and killed who knows how many people. Or maybe they'd go back to protect Vecna; which would spell disaster for Nancy, Steve and Robin who were in the middle of fighting him. Plus, throughout the season you could just tell he was tired of running; he wanted to fight and he sacrificed himself to save everyone, even if most of the town hated his guts. RIP Eddie.
Eddie's decision was the best of two worst choices. If he got back, the bats would have followed him ,terrorized the town and he would go to jail regardless.

The first time I cried watching stranger things was during the last episode. It was a few hours after we found out about technoblades death so I was already really emotional. I cried SO many times, even after the sad scenes I was just crying on and off until after I finished watching. Happy tears, sad tears, laughter, just everything 😅 Now Everytime I watch the scene I can’t help but cry again. This was made so well 😭

Though I strangely didn't cry watching this season's ending myself, watching your reaction got ME crying too! Made me realize just how hard this season's ending hits! I agree with you, they've set a high bar for season 5! Not sure how they're going to top this!
