Thanks for the info on the knurled ball joints. I prefer Moog and get just about all my parts from Rock Auto. I just looked and they only had the replacements that were knurled or offered caster and camber adjustment making these more expensive. A couple of then were also knurled. I will be getting Spicer from now on unless the knuckle is worn. If you have money to burn, check out the American Iron ball joint deletes that use a spherical bearing. Very salty. I would also suggest using Never Seize on the press fit. Never Seize will not cause it to become loose. It will make it easier to install and it will also help prevent rust between the surface of the stud and the tapered hole of the knuckle. I have called Never Seize , spoke to a technician and he said that press fits are an excellent place for it's application.

Very good instruction. Thank you. However, I'm having a hard time finding rental ball joint kits or even the HF kit that has the off set adaptor for Jeeps? Any other advice or tips for these lessor ball joint kits? TIA

Should you put anti seize or grease on the outside of the ball joint before installing? Or is it better do install dry
