Brought this old video up just to see how you got your rusty lower ball joints out. This video definitely helped a ton!

Bullshitkorner thanks my brother - a hammer always is an advantage eh ? Thought about just welding a junk socket on but that worked ok too.

I just want to say DO NOT HEAT THE BALL JOINTS. they have a tendency to EXPLODE. Check out some of the videos on CZcams. Otherwise nice video, I appreciate seeing a fellow rust bucket

Just a thought. Leave a nut on one of the ball joints when you break it loose so it wont fall. Then hold it up and remove the nut.
Also that little ball peen hammer is a bit light. They break loose when struck hard where the tapered end of the ball joint goes into the knuckle. The fast hard shock breaks them loose.

Being from the rust belt, I use Nevr-Seez on everything !! Makes it so much easier to get apart the next time.

Sorry I haven't been around much on here just been real busy over here. I think our Jeeps are evenly matched with all that rust. My Jeep TJ is an 05 and man over the past few weeks lots of stuff with it has been going wrong went over a bump and blew my end links out then took it to a shop to refil the a/c and they said there's an electrical problem with the a/c it will cycle 3 times then turn completely off and they said there's a slow leak and now the thing is taking 6 seconds to start on a cold start but fires right up when warm. Hopefully a job pops up soon just because if it's a fuel issue I don't know what I will be battling on that Jeep droping the tank. My TJ is the definition of Just Empty Every Pocket lol. I like the progress of your Jeep.

I think you might do better holding the hammer further down about 6 inches. Holding near the head doesn't give your swing a lot of leverage power.

Appreciate the vid, but every time you hammered on something without any eye protection, it was cringey.
