He stored the skittle at very high humidity and temperature. You could see he poured water into the container. That's to increase humidity, so that more mold and bacteria grow easily. So since your home is nowhere near as warm and humid as the place where he stores his rotting food, your skittles will be safe to eat longer than that.

Bonus: I haven't had skittles in my house in years because I actually try to take care of my teeth now but not too long ago I found a single skittle under my bed in the far corner(must've been kicked)It was in perfect condition. I don't believe I had skittles since Christmas 2016 so I ate a skittle that was sitting on my floor for 5+ years.

Two things I learnt from your video. 1: You don't have ocd from the colour of skittles and how they are arranged. 2: Pink skittles exist! (Haven't seen them in Australia yet). It would be interesting to see what microbes were growing in that gooey sugary goodness but after day 42 after you stirred it, nope it didn't look good at all hehe. Thanks for showing the compartment and also how you increased the humidity to show a reaction of those skittles. xx

Well there is different types of skittles
Like the three I know are original, sour,and berry, I know for a fact that the berry one has pink I when you see at the start of the vid that it was green which is the sour skittles so I I guess there is also pink I sour skittles
(Tho i don't REMEMBER seeing pink skittles in my sour skittles so it might be an America thing or maybe it's cuz I haven't had sour skittles in a while that I forgot they existed)

Because this video is bullshit, I have a significant background in chemistry and physics and what is shown is this video isn't accurate. Even if you were at the beach and opened a pack of Skittles and left them in your car, that isn't going to happen. Water has to cool to condensate, it doesn't just miraculously happen, there has to be transference of energy. But over 14 days you would reach equilibrium the Skittles would be the same temperature as the atmosphere surrounding them. In fact it would happen in under an hour. Not to mention to pull as much water out of the atmosphere as those Skittles did they'd be extremely cold, like think about your car dripping while the AC is running, that's freon evaporating and condensing, that's a massive exchange of thermal energy which is why it's able to condense so much water.

Asked a doctor about it once, but they said that an allergy test wasn't necessary because it's not severe enough to kill me, so I guess it will remain a mystery.
