This is my beast setup. When I bought the Sony a6700 and paired it with sigma 56mm, it extremely satisfying. I tried with my Sony a6400 but in a6700 this is totally best combo.

Been eyeing the 56mm for the past couple of months! Although my main concern is the overlapping range since i own the sigma 18-50mm 2.8 .

@@adharshsajikumar6526 Really depends on your style of photography. If you want just one lens for street photography I'd go with the 18-50. If you already have an all-purpose lens and want one that does one thing REALLY well, go with the 56.
it should be cause sigma sponsored u lol, but yea 56mm is a beast but when it comes to rating never listen to sponsored with the brand

The only thing I have to complain about after buying this lens, is that I wish I had the same aperture on my wider lenses!
Looking to buy a Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 to cover that base. It seems super versatile, and I really want that image stabilization because I use an a6400.
i also have tamron 17-70mm f2.8
but practically for me, when night photography f2.8 not enough for me, because i need high shutter speed
but yah 17-70mm is good deal for many condition i'm happy for this lens

hi danboxing, previously i already have 56m sigma lens, after few month, i think i need more wide lens, but stil not too wide, so i bought 30mm, i think sigma 30mm good for me when street photogrpahy

Would this lens be good for sports photography as the sports gyms have very poor light and I always have to up my ISO which i would like to avoid on my a6700

I would suggest go for the 56mm. It’s really good. Plus it’s way cheaper and smaller than the Art series. Not unless you’re going full frame anytime soon.

This is a prime lens, so it has a fixed focal length of 56mm, you cant zoom with this lens
