I've been gigging 5 nights a week or more with this guitar for 4 years , it's a workhorse ! It sounds great in any situation, room or crowd.
It took me awhile to figure out the cooltube settings, but once you've got it, you can make it sound like a 00018 or a 28 with a quarter turn of a knob.
Eats batteries , you'll change them every week , but it's worth it.
This is a beautiful guitar , premium craftsmanship !
This guy gives the best demos. Love the jazzy demos.
BEAUTIFUL and GREAT SOUND
I love your playing skills
i love the takamine pickup
Great playing.
My Takamine play great and sounds great especially with phosphore bronze strings !
I've been playing a Takamine Gn93CE for the past 7 years as my main gigging guitar. I love it it but I decided I wanted to get a top of the line All solid wood Takamine with a cool tube since I do more solo stuff now (not in a full band anymore). I had my feelers out for a used TAN46 or EAN46 because I liked my EAN10ce so much (it just hurts me to play a dreadnought for 3 hours anymore and the NEX body style is perfect for me) but they just weren't coming up. This one came up used for $1000 less than new and it was mint so I pulled the trigger. So far it's great. I play through a Bose SP Pro and wanted simple, plug and play with no pedals but still a great natural sound. The Gn93ce was a great sounding guitar, especially for the price, but this one sounds absolutely stellar with just a little reverb from the Bose. I've been playing out for over 20 years and went through all the gimmicky pedals, including the Fishman Aura and this one straight to the Bose is easily my best sounding setup and it literally takes me 5 minutes to set up. I have yet to play out with it yet, just A/B'ing in my den against the GN93ce. So far I am liking about 50-75% cool tube and everything on the Bose and guitar set flat except for a slight mid-cut at whatever frequency the white dot on the semiparametric midrange slider on the P7NC is.
Excellent player
For my opinion in this price range best guitar by far
you played it very well....
I can't even imagine to purchase
pffffff That jazzy walking was neat!! :-) please please please do the same review of the Jumbo pro series 7 also. No one has it reviewed!!!!
toca muito amigo !!!
Holy shit the playing.
I have a Takamine P4DC, a very well balanced sound! Thanks for this video.
Melkisedek777: Thinking of bying that model to, it seems to be optimal value for the money.
Wow!
Got one .They're great. :-) You make it sound cool too.
"Out Of Nowhere" Very nice. It sounds like this guitar would be perfect for a jazz guitarist?
Dollar for dollar, I have always preferred the high end Takamine guitars over everything else during my years of gigging. And I tried them all. The only acoustic ( or acoustic w/onboard electronics ) guitars that sound better than high end Takamine's will cost you THOUSANDS more. Trust me. The high end Takamine guitars ( I owned 3 of them at one time ) are pricey as well, but well worth the money. Extremely high-end quality in every aspect of the instrument.
0:59 it clearly says ctp-3 on the pre-amp
Very good and funny videos bring a great sense of entertainment!
Now that's nice axe 😃
Shes too blunt for an axe. Thats a shovel
I own this Guitare ...it`s incredible good

Matin or takamine?

It looks like your fingers live with their own lives.
Can you please review the Garth brooks Takamine
What is the name of the 2nd song?
Character In the video It's great, I like it a lot $$
How the heck do these guys make playing an acoustic make it look so easy!
IMHO, The good players make it look easy. Gotta pay your dues. Practice, practice, practice
oh boy do i live to watch Billy Strings play this here thing
😍
In every ad and demonstration I've seen of this guitar series, it is said to have an Asymmetrical neck; yet no one seems to want to actually show what that looks like. Why is that? My understanding of the word "demonstrate" means to prove, reveal, exhibit, validate. Yet, I'm still wondering what an asymmetrical guitar neck looks like from Takamine. Guitar demonstrators would do well to show their audience what it is they speak of, especially if they're actually holding the guitar in their hands. Just an observation.
I know, right?
He did play the guitar very nicely though. Never forget that.
They are assuming that you already know what an asymmetrical neck is. So look it up.
Can't read? CTP-3... right on the pre-amp... Hello...
Just a question, what is the factory strings, I need to change the strings in my Takamine but I dont know what kind of strings have by default? I know is 0.13 strings but what brand?
Thsnk you so much!!
D’Addario EXP 16 phosphor-bronze light gauge 12-53
I gigged for many many years, and that included years of strictly acoustic duo, trio, and solo gigs. I always played high end Takamine acouctic/electric guitars and for me personally, I like the Martin Marquis acoustic strings the best of all. They sound great and seem to last better. ( I hate the over-hyped Elixir strings, they play like rubber bands. ) The Martin Marquis strings are available in phosphor bronze as well, and it's really up to each individual guitar and player's tastes. Some acoustic guitars sound better with the phosphor bronze strings, and some don't. At one point, I owned & gigged with 3 different Takamine's, having each one in a different tuning. One of the three did sound better with the phosphor bronze strings. I know my response is very late....but I hope this helps. The Martin Marquis strings were kind of pricey back when I gigged ( I'm retired now ), but they are well worth the price: Quality strings.
whats the exact model of that pro 7 series takamine?

Kant even afford the tuning on this guitar.... 😭
And how does it sound plugged in???????
Anyone has a advice for me!? I have this guitar but i feel it sounds so bright (specially on Hight E ) and also cuz i live in foreign country i cant easily interact with guitar shops ! They dont know english !!!
Hey, brother! Two very simple things you could try are to change the strings (try other brands and gauges) and your pick.
Me dan links de amplificadores sierrenos Por que Quiero comprar uno para mi takamine Pero nose cual es el que usan para la musica sierrenia
plug it in combo next timeyou will make review
how much
For 3k, its well worth it !!
I live in Australia but my online research shows me everything in Australia cost so much more than the other countries. So the guitar cost $3,000 for you over there? Costs $5,000 AUD over here. Doesn't matter if it's Takamine or Seagull, guitar cost double or more when buying from Australia.
@@chewedon I think your retailers are selling it at a higher price to make up for the taxes, VAT, shipping and other shit they had to pay for. Also, go to Takamines website, they have an "official distributor" (or something like that) list, there's probably one in Australia, check the prices in there
Hey I own a takamine GN93ce-nt and a Lakewood m32 cp...
So obviously the Lakewood has a much brighter sound than the takamine (also about 6 times the price) but for some reason, I enjoy a lot more playing on my takamine, so I was wondering if it was worth either upgrading my takamine (well I'll keep it obviously, both because it's kinda cheap so not worth the time selling it back, and when I gig with some friends of mine, mostly outside, who own acoustic with prices range from 500 to 800 bucks, it seems fair to just take it over the Lakewood)
But I'm considering trading the Lakewood for a pro series 7, so if anyone has played both, it'd be great to hear the feedback
obviously got off your horse nothing is obvious to some people

How do you put the strap if there's no strap button on the jack input side?
You install one, or pay a luthier to professionally install it for you......highly recommended. Unless you know what your'e doing.
See my other response. I forgot: the jack input DOES allow for a strap. Look closely at the raised metal ridge around the jack input, it doubles as a strap button. Ya have to put the strap on first, then plug in the chord. I thought you were talking about the other end at the neck heal. You will have to install a strap button there, or pay to have one installed.
what s the price ?
Pushing 3k
i wanna ask about this gitar . how much budget this gitar?
THIS MODEL SELLS FOR JUST UNDER $3000.00
Does the price of the guitar include being able to play like that? Lol
Is it pronounced Takamine or Takamine?
I think it's ta-ka-mi-ney
Yes
Try and buy this guitar, all outlets out of stock.
I have one on order from mf, I doubt I'll ever get it.
Hey big spender! :)
They hand make them. They are not sitting in store rooms any where. And you don't want one that has been on display. Can distort them. Not just Takamine, any brand.
Lovely guitar but cant afford it.
Beautiful guitar but so out of my price range.
Julia Molloy yes breaks my heart I want one
How much does this beauty cost?

Best guitar no doubt. But I dont have money for that.
Dude... Please research and understand what you are selling. It is not an 12AX7 tube, and it is not a CTP-2, it is a CTP-3. It has a 12AU7 tube. Come on... Other than that.. Great sound, and great review... :)
a lot of fret buzz for that price
No. There's no fret buzz once set up the way that suits your playing. He said 'this guitar was played out of the box with factory strings and no additional set-up.' I'm not a salesman, but I have 4 taks (the NEX being one). Love 'em all more than my other guitars. ;-)
@@mojomediamusic Scuse my ignorance but I keep hearing people talk of "guitar setups". When a guitar leaves a factory, aren't they tuned to perfection already? I mean hell, the factory people are the one who built the guitar in the first place, so I don't understand why people keep saying a guitar needs setup. Almost like the people who try to sound nerdy with computer and talking about how they "over clock" their computer. It's like saying "Hey man, you need to setup your Greenfield guitar...even though master luthier Michael Greenfield hand built the damn thing and tuned it to perfection before he shipped it......yeah.....".
@@chewedon They can't do that before sending the guitar out of the factory, because the guitar would be in high risk of being damaged, so they won't set the string in tune or set up the truss rod in order not to make the neck highly pressured - it may break during the way
