The guitar and the guitarist is legendary
Bought a takamine guitar after watching this ❤️ really awesome preformed
jaysus!!! You're one seriously talented man!!!!!
The Takamine guitar is beautiful. Yet, with your lovely voice and guitar sound, your piece of sound of music is vibrant and gorgeous. I love your performance. I would love to see and hear your performance live concert. You just made my day. Thank you so much.
Sounds great jake !
Great player. I regretfully sold sold a Santa Fe that I bought back in 1999. I just ordered a new TSF48C SANTE FE, I'm told the wait list is about 1yr here in Australia.
Wow, what an incredible guitarist! I think it doesn't matter what guitar he performs with it's gonna sound awesome. One of the very best for sure.
He stated that he hasn't found any other guitar or system that sounds as well as the Takamine onboard electronics. And I'll bet ya 12 dirty socks that all of the others pose huge problems with things like horrendous feedback.
Dude...this guy jams WTF! Awesome review!
I know this is an old video, but damn ... you make the difficult to impossible look so easy. 👌
Beatiful
Very cool! I always wondered why the tops were so responsive on some models. I always thought that people were adding soundboard transducers to the preamp in addition or in place of the to UST. I think I need to get me another Takamine.
Yo tengo la Santa Fe y veo en tus manos que es una guitarra estupenda
He's awesome!!!!!!
awesome demo Jake.
That's some demo right there
I Want Takamine!! Kkkkk....
Awesome, what is the tuning you use on the Santa Fe? Joni Mitchell used so many, over 40 different...
Buy this guitar and you too will be able to play exactly like him
I strongly disagree about the Cooltube being a great sounding preamp. I own the original PSF48C bought in 1997. Exact same guitar as the TSF48C. The PSF48C came with the Accuracoustic Preamp but like all others it died due to bad electronics. I replaced it with the Cooltube 2 and without the Cooltube dialled in it sounded very thin and lacking. I usually have the Cooltube dialled in at 50% going through my AER Acousticube 3 and PA. I even bought the Triax 1 to blend with it. Overall it was “ok” but not a patch on my Accuracoustic before it. I’ve since had my Accuracoustic repaired and did an A/B comparison and the Accuracoustic sounds so much better IMO. However it failed again and now off for its second repair. I’ve since fitted the CT4-DX + Triax 2. The Triax 2 is muddy so I dial out all the bass, max the treble and notch out 250hz to get a reasonable sound. I mix 35% of the Triax 2 in either the CT4-DX. So overall the Cooltube never impressed me compared to the original Accuracoustic preamp.
NOTHING beats a CTP blended with the Triax, been using it for thousands of giggs and many years, because theres simply nothing better for live amplified acoustic guitar....nothing even remotely close
Anybody know what song at the first performed?
I have a gn90 takamine ce if I put rosewood pins in it would it sound warmer thanks Colin uk
Marginally warmer-pins are a contentious subject but in general the spectrum from warm>bright runs as follows:
Ebony (warmest)
Boxwood
Rosewood
Plastic/stock
Bone
Tusq
Liquid Metal (proprietary Martin pins)
Brass (brightest)
Generally in exchange for warmth, you lose a touch of sustain but this isn’t likely to be too noticeable. I have long used various pin materials to fine tune guitar tone and response, and it works well. Brass pins are useful for adding mass to the top and moving the resonant node of a guitar that suffers from “wolf tones” and dead spots-this is most common in very lightly built instruments. Not something I’ve found to be much of an issue in Takamines but some Martins and Gibsons are prone to it.
He actually pronounces the Takamine correctly.
*but he pronounced Sapele (Sa-Pee-Lee) wrong 😂
