- This NEX model is the latest addition to Takamine's G Series. It features a solid spruce top and beautiful quilt-maple back and sides. The maple neck is capped with a rosewood fingerboard with striking oval pearloid inlay patterns. The pickguard is adorned with a "Grass Flower" pattern over a black background. This guitar features Takamine's ever-reliable TK40D electronics, delivering stellar stage performance.
NEX Body
This original Takamine body is a scaled-down Jumbo at heart. The NEX has a silky balance to the tone that supports vocals beautifully.

I have to say that this is prettier than my 20 year old hand made Japanese Takemime EF261S BK and at half the price it is excellent value. Really nice guitar. Excellent review Jon thanks 🙂👍

Great colour for an Acoustic, Takamine make good acoustics at affordable prices.
According to Andertons stock is due on the 15th March, but their estimates are not to be relied on.
GuitarGuitar who i prefer don't have any delivery dates, i will keep checking Andertons for availability.

Hi Jon,
This one really got my attention. I should be starting up my gigs again soon. So it will be within my reach as far as the cost goes. I also like the color. It's very nice and just a bit unusual without being weird in any way. I love the sound. I think it will sound good for an acoustic/ vocal performance as well as playing with a track in a live situation. Plus, you just demonstrated how well it records. :-) I also think it would sound great acoustically for songwriting. I bought a Harley Benton Custom Line Jumbo. It's very good for the money. But I think this might give me more of what I need as a professional musician and at a very reasonable price.
