Crazy how Mac was still so young when he made this mixtape. After his teenage projects of frat/pop rap to make this pivot, and feature the likes of Wayne, Kendrick, Cam'Ron etc, it just goes to show how respected he was in hip hop and how effortless he could switch up his whole style and still be successful, while also being way more creative and meaningful. His career is one of my biggest inspirations in my life, and I bump his music pretty much daily still. RIP to a real, true definition of an artist and a legend

I remember the day this dropped. I was 15 years old with my best friends smoking blunts in my moms basement for hours on end listening to Macadelic on repeat. Those memories are so key in our friendships that we still hold today. Whenever I’m in the car or working and Macadelic comes on those songs just bring me back to a special place and time I wish I could experience again. I remember bumping macadelic in 2013 or 14. Probably the first tape from Mac that I properly got into and listened to all the way through. Definitely one of his best projects with a lot of standout tracks, good features and bars that stick in my mind even today. Happy anniversary Mac!
I went to a music festival in 2014 or 2015 because I saw Mac Miller was performing. I didn't care about who else would be performing, I just wanted to see Mac live. That night, I remember my friends bailing on me and I walked alone to the stage he was performing on, and I couldn't even be sad or worried. It was one of the best nights of my life, drama and all. I'm so glad I got to see him perform live. I will never forget it.

Biggest regret in life so far was getting a chance to see him live, watched him for 15 min, went and got a drink and stood in bar line for a solid hour just to return to listen to the last 5 min of his performance, did not know him that well at the time, started listening to his music there after, fell in love and then heard of his passing the year after. I didn’t listen to Macadelic much when it first came out, I only really listened to a few songs like America, Fight the Feeling, and The Question. A few years later, maybe 2015-2016 I went back and really dove into the mixtape and was blown away. Still a great tape, it’s insane that it’s 10 today. RIP MAC

This was the first time I saw Mac live; it was such an amazing concert. Mac was an incredible performer and I'll definitely never forget the show he put on that day. RIP.

We were the same age and both grew up in Pittsburgh, I never met him but always felt connected. One of my favorite artists ever, glad his family is still releasing things he had made. Im sure its hard to do but it is special to everyone who enjoyed Mac growing up!

I never met this precious man in real life, but it always feels like he knows me better than anyone else.
And even when I'm all alone just by myself I don't feel lonely, because his songs feel like a soulmate sitting next to me.
Mac’s the largest inspiration for me starting to rap and produce my own music. His personality was infectious and his ability to rap was undeniable. So ahead of his time. My goal when I started making music was never to try and be better than anyone else, especially not Mac, but rather to make people feel the way Mac’s music makes me feel. Music is so fucking beautiful and truly is for everybody. Whether you create, listen or both! Happy to say I grew up listening to Mac despite how bad it hurts that he’s gone. Biggest regret in life so far was getting a chance to see him live, watched him for 15 min, went and got a drink and stood in bar line for a solid hour just to return to listen to the last 5 min of his performance, did not know him that well at the time, started listening to his music there after, fell in love and then heard of his passing the year after. RIP legend of the game 🔥🙏🏻
I didn’t listen to Macadelic much when it first came out, I only really listened to a few songs like America, Fight the Feeling, and The Question. A few years later, maybe 2015-2016 I went back and really dove into the mixtape and was blown away. Still a great tape, it’s insane that it’s 10 today. RIP MAC

Damn, what a mixtape Macadelic was and still is. I remember listening to it for the first time my junior year in high school in my homies civic early in the morning before a cross country race and all of us just being mind blown. Good times thanks to Mac and his music.
this mixtape came into my life at the perfect time and I’m grateful for it. I still recommend it to people and believe it’s one of the best albums he ever dropped. The subject matters, the variety of sounds, the guests, the overall concept was so well executed; I can’t believe it’s been ten years since its release.
Here’s to another ten of listening to it.
