I love PTS. It is great for the beard. I might have to give this a go. As a âblokey blokeâ I can confirm that itâs because of the scent, or the lack of floral/sweet scents. That is definitely an added bonus to how well it works on my coarse chin whiskers. đâđ»đđ»

Hi Elly! I made your pine tar soap - with great success! How easy is it with just a whisk ! A quick note to say thanks kindly for the idea and inspiration! I used Shea and mango butters (50/50) instead of cocoa butter, because I didnât have any! Ran it all through soap calc. All good! Atlas cedar wood 15g with a few drops of 5x orange essential oils, all in a nice long Kmart bamboo mold. Smells really great! This one is for my own blokey bloke use ! Thanks again and .. I have been wanting to try this for a while now as my adult son gets awful eczema. I got the Pine Tar a while back and finally made this soap tonight. What a unique sent this has! Good morning, Elly!đđđ It feels SO GOOD, seeing your sunny smile and hearing your cheerful voice, first thing in the morning, what a refreshing combination to greet me early of a day! đđđđ Your soaps are BEAUTIFULđđđđđâ€â€â€
I just made some pine tar soap yesterday! I did a batch of CP and HP. Making pine tar soap with HP is nice since you donât have to worry about acceleration, a lot less stressful lol! I did three shades in my CP and I got so close to my last shade not going into the moldđ€« I just added a little bit of cedar EO, but now I have to try some tea tree too! Itâs so interesting how people are with scents, Iâve had some people say they absolutely hate lemongrass and others say they absolutely love it, itâs funny đ Thanks for the video!
EXTRAORDINARY!!!! It is the resin in the pine wood that makes the difference I think!! an of course the beeswax!! Also let us not forget that soap started with ash lye and oils so having the original ingredient i.e. wood, has something to do with quick saponification of the mixture. There is an old pamphlet (in Greek I am afraid), that says that wood ash has the perfect ratio of NaOH and KOH so the end product is not flaky or soft and with a high cleaning factor. I hope I do not sound too much like a school teacher!!!!!!! Have a very nice week and stay safe!!
I just made this with equal parts cedar, pine, eucalyptus, and bergamot EOâs. Smells delightful! Donât know if I can wait 6 weeks.đł Thanks very much.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm going to make my first batch tomorrow and it was going to be pine soap and as I was doing research this pine tar soap came up so now I might do this one! I didn't know that pine tar is good for some skin conditions. This is great information for me. I have psoriasis and straggle on my face and scalp right now. so itchy. also dry skin. I need to put some lotion even in the summer. I would definitely try to make this soap. Thank you so much Elly for this video and recipe!

I've noticed several have had trouble finding the Sweden pine tar. Sage Restoration from Ontario, Canada, sells the Special Kiln Burned Pine Tar, for soapmaking and human use. I live in the US and and had to pay $18.83 for UPS standard shipping, with no tax. The 3 litre was $56. Hope this helps anyone wanting to make Elly's pine tar soap.
Hi from Bundaberg. My hubby and I love pine tar smell too! I'm just starting on my soaping journey and am so excited about trying this soap. I have several skin conditions and use coal tar products currently. I'm hoping this will work out to be an effective alternative for me.
I was looking for a good pine tar recipe but wasnât to sure on working with it. Thanks for showing this. I also wanted to work more with beeswax. Hope your well!
Wow! That was interesting. Just mixed this up and it went from a nice smooth substance to thick and hardening in a heartbeat! I just about got it in the mold before it would have been a real challenge to pour! I hope it turns out!!

Thank you, yes I adore this soap too! I just made a batch last week for one of my father's friends, he loves it. No, I've never made carbolic soap. Might be interesting to try one day.

You're welcome Yoko! I'm not a dermatologist, so make sure you seek medical advice, but this is what I've heard can help. It may not help everyone though :)
@@EllysEverydaySoapMaking I am going to see my Dermatologist this month. Will make sure to ask. Thanks again :) I made Castile and Aloe vela soap the other day from your recipes. The aroma from Aloe Vera soap is amazing! Can't wait to use them. I think my husband will love Aloe Vera soap.

Brings back memories of grandma's pine tar soap. So very nice Elly!
Ahh that's so nice. Thank you :)
Excellent, Beautiful.
Thank you Krishan :)
Hi from Bundaberg. My hubby and I love pine tar smell too! I'm just starting on my soaping journey and am so excited about trying this soap. I have several skin conditions and use coal tar products currently. I'm hoping this will work out to be an effective alternative for me.
Oh I hope so too Natasha! Greetings from Brissy :)
