The people out there in wheelchairs really get at my heart. As someone with very limited ability to walk and stand, I feel for these people. You are blessed to be walking Jay. Thanks for taking me along.
They are using tranq, xylazine, drug's that eat their flesh, and causes infections, and they have to be amputated. Flesh eating drugs, 😢. You see them without arms, legs, and sores that stay open. And they don't stop. 😢

The sentiment is nice, but I live here and walk around often - a lot of them get wheelchairs to have a place to sit that they can move around, something to stay off the concrete

Make yourself aware of the plethora of CORRUPT NGOs there that make themselves rich off of "Helping" these people, not to mention the absolute corruption & greed of the CA govt. There's plenty of money. It's really not about that. Also, yo yourself can do something about it. There are indeed legit & real Christian ministries that serve these folks. You will feel better about this problem if you do something about it. I promise.
This channel is the only one who shows the real side of skid row. Rat infestation along with diseases is a health risk 0:07. It seems like the Health department should step in and declare the area a health hazard. But they turn a blind eye to this tragedy. Sad.

Seattle. Mill Street, now Yesler Way, was the original "Skid Road" in Seattle, Washington. Logs were cut uphill and they "skid" down to the waterfront. As far as I know Los Angeles never was a logging capital and they have no hills to speak of.

@@JayWalkinTV yes there are! I live in the West Hills area of LA. There’s 50+ blocks of skid row. You literally visited a small portion. I know people who live in apartments and million dollar condos right in the heart of skid row.
I live in one of these places, none of them are multimillion but some go for a little less than million (for a really nice 2000+ sq ft loft though)
