TTFN, Ta Ta For Now! - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Tidal class is my favorite class, however I’d love to see more outlandish ideas they could do with a sea dragon. The sea shocker was a nice addition, but I’d love to see an octopus dragon or something. And maybe less legs more fins. It’s weird that most of them have legs when many are just aquatic.
There’s an octopus dragon in the nine realms
@@diaborodevil3161 nine realms ain't canon
I think it'll look like a mix of the Brickleback from Sea Beast, Slattern from Pacific Rim or something
@@iprogamer3439 Just take the dragons from it, and discard everything else.
@@mirromarnicco3162and Alex
Fun fact, the purple death is actually based off the books, and it was actually originally a NAME of a dragon, not the species. The species itself was called the Sea Dragonus Giganticus, explaining the Tidal class classification.
Yes dat true I have the book
Windwalker too
Fun fact, In the series riders of Berk, the scauldron is poisonous! It’s the only dragon that isn’t poisoned by the blue oleander, and eats its flowers. Its venom can be used as an antidote to the flowers.
Concerning the Sand Wraith, I actually don’t think it’s that closely related to the Night Fury. Rather, I think it’s a case of convergent evolution, in which the Sand Wraith and Night Fury evolved in similar ways (general body shape, tail ornamentation, built for speed and stealth) due to similar evolutionary pressures, despite not being so closely related. That would explain the different classes.
Yeah but the sand wraith is not built for speed, rather for ambushing from under the sand. The night fury probably evolved from it as it found more success being strike than waiting around for prey to appear in less sandy regions.
Also their facial structure, leg size and build and fin shape and location seems wayyy to similar to be convergent evolution
I actually think that Sand Wraiths share a common ancestor with the Night Fury that diverged into the two species. Sand Wraiths stayed ambush hunters while Night Furies became the nimble, agile beasts that we know and love. It would makes sense seeing their similar builds and other physical features. Thats just what I think, who knows maybe im wrong or whatever, i don't even know much about the dragons outside the movies.
I highly doubt it's convergent evolution, they are way too similar for that to be the case. biologically they are literally just spikey night furies. I think its glaringly obvious that night furies, light furies, sand wraiths and woolly howls are furies and very closely related
The different class is just because sand wraiths live near water
I feel like the sand dragons being Tidal class isn’t that outlandish, they swim through sand as if it was water. Either way I think the Sandbuster and Sand Wraith should be in the same class, its weird that they aren’t.
As for the Windwalker, while I agree it fits best for Strike, I do understand the Tidal class description. I think it’s meant to reference albatross, where it spends its entire life flying in the skies above the ocean, rarely venturing beyond the shore. I also imagine that the electricity and water are probably its canon abilities, with the fire in Rise of Berk just being an error as it uses the exact same fire model as most other dragons in that game.
You're right that the sand wraith and the sandbuster should be in the same class. When first described as an ambush dragon that swims through sand, people literally thought it would be a sand wraith
I loved HTTYD as a kid because I had a soft spot for dragons and I still do! Not only they befriended my favorite creatures there but they were also so diverse, unique, real thank to small details I love to research. Your video is great, if only little me knew English well back then she would be thrilled. I have to catch up with another episodes I really enjoy your analysis (and I agree, some shouldn't be in Tidal class), your editing and humor :)! Keep up the good work!
You should play monster hunter world
He did a Thing! (where is my cheesey boi)
You’re stuck in 2017
Could, perhaps like the Submaripper was erroneously, the Sand Wraith fit into multiple classes? It looks like a Night Fury, burrows in sand, shoots sand balls, and I presume all subspecies are semi-aquatic.
@@okebedoke That's not exactly the same: as NewOrca stated in his NOT Tracker Class video, Nadders are more Sharp than Tracker, especially since they are the poster child for Sharp Class.
I think if you think of the Sandwraith as something of a mudskipper fish, or draw the comparisons to a flounder more it has an argument for staying tidal, considering there is a description for its behavior. The Windwalker, I think has a strong argument for tidal class if you compare it to sea birds. Something like an osprey or an albatross- detecting storms, diving for food, and using the unique ocean winds to fly long distances
yeah but what about shallow water like maybe the sand wraith hunts in the water which is shallow but deepish
And wind walker being like a sea bird or is it just recently evolved to live in the water which makes it lack most features of the tidal class
I mean do all dragons need to fit in some are similar but just different
*AH YES MY FAVORITE CLASS OF DRAGONS,THE "FEESH"*
To be fair, Windwalker was based off a species in the books, who was Hiccup's riding dragon. It's appearance is almost one for one, unlike some book species. In the books they were "Sky Dragons" (the books used a different classification system) and it was also a speedy dragon that had electric blasts. Likely should have translated into Strike.
I think Sand Wrath has a bit of a case for being a striker. I get why you said Bolder but it's not not a striker.
Tru tru
Was lots of fun working with ya on this one. Have to say I didnt know about some of the abilities these bois have, like the TideGliders acid, (note which take do you folks prefare? RiseOfBerk where it doesnt have back legs or SchoolOfDragons where it does? Im the former) or the Krayfin and its giant size or firepower, which looks like its a glob of oil that is ignited.
I do wander about some of the ones that can stay underwater for days without surfacing, they are either breathing though their skin like some amphibians do or like some turtles, especially those specialized in diving, are highly reliant on cloacal respiration during dives. They accomplish this by having a pair of accessory air bladders connected to the cloaca which can absorb oxygen from the water. Basically they breath with their buts.
Yeh thanks for the amazing pieces, looking forward to working with you in the future 😊
The SoD tide glider has back legs because they reused the scauldron rig and animations. The Rise of berk version looks much more unique.
Yet another amazing video by you! Love these!!
As always very anticipated and you delivered!
Babe wake up, NewOrca posted a dragon class video.
I just wanted to say thank you to orca for including my scauldran art 2:21 this means so much too me
Thank you for making it!
Amazing video as always.
Keep up the incredible work.
I love how amazed you are at the fact that the dragon literally called "shellfire" can indeed fire shells
Les go I love you man I have been waiting for this video your content is so fire I love it
These videos single handedly sent me back into my httyd hyperfixation thank you so much I've been having a blast ♥️
Well I've got plenty more to talk about 😜
This video is amazing on everything, this dude should make more content about this, Tidal Class is one of my favourites, along with Mystery and Strike.
I've been waiting for this type of video
I’ve waited so gid damn long for this Video.
I could've sworn i heard a sharktopus sound effect in this video
Yes another episode of this series!
Another great explainer! Honoured to be a part of the vid!
The Shellfire and Bewilderbeast are my favorite tidal class dragons.
I haven't seen anything from train ur dragon or whatever it's called in English in years, but it was really interesting and your edit style was funny and refreshing. great video❤
Thank you!
On the subject of tidal class dragons being able to go without oxygen for long periods of time, even the submaripper staying underwater for days, because they are reptiles the best explanation is that they could have similar structures to that of aquatic turtles, in that some species of turtle possess a pair of accessory air bladders connected to the cloaca which can absorb oxygen from the water. This is a process called Enteral Respiration or Cloacal Respiration, which is just sucking water up the butt and diffusing oxygen from it, a process similar to gills but because dragons are reptiles they don't have those.
The way I gasped when you pulled up that Ocean Gate pic!!!!
Y'know, I think the Krayfin actually uses these special things cavitation bubbles. They're hotter than lightening and pretty intense. You see it a lot when talking about mantis shrimp, because the force they hit things with causes them (Which is also why they're referred to as tank breakers cause they 100% will shatter glass fish tanks)
For the Luminous Crayfin, it seems like it’s firepower might be something equivalent to a depth charge, so while not very useful on land or in the skies, when dealing with rival tidal class dragons, it’s an incredibly effective weapon. Of course that’s speculation, maybe it’s just a big fireball as shown in the concept art.
Ngl I enjoy this man’s voice and content plus he funny
Personally I agree with the Sand Wraith being a tidal class dragon, it has large lungs and able to stay in the water for long periods of time, said by the website, and it's habitat the beach provides close connection the the ocean so I would imagine ocean fish would be its food source in which it would hunt in the ocean. It's sandy colour suggests it could spend a lot of time close to the sea bed or resting on beaches but overall I think it's a tidal class.
He's back at it again lez gooo
Great video ❤
Thank you ♥️
Rest in peace my lovely. I will miss you everyday, you've supported me in everything I do and I can never tell you how much it meant to me. I still can't believe you're gone but at least you're no longer in pain. Love you for ever and ever xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
what happened ?!
Tf I just came here to see how many sips to - ya know never mind what happened@@Aurora_Esposito1
Whattttttttttt????
.???????!?!?!!!!!!?!!?!!??!???
Thank you, I needed some help figuring out how the sand wraith is in tidal class. It's my fav dragon, as you can probably tell by my pfp, yet I really don't know a tone about it and am trying to learn
keep up the good work
I remember playing the Cartoon Network game when the thunder drum was revealed and released to the game at the same time It was so cool
Bro this is so cool
Enjoyed.
Would love to see a video like this for Stoker class.
In case anyone is wondering, the song that starts around 13:45 is called “The Grimm Troupe”
I'm literally obsessed with all things water and water magic so thanks for this video didn't know how to drain your dragon had water dragons lol
Nice a new vid
I have no clue how i got on this part of youtube but this is very interesting
19:52 Dude, you gotta warn us next time. I fell through the floor!
This video makes me wish we got more love for this franchise
walking with dinosaurs referenced, immediately subbed
I hope to see the boulder class will be next I love the whispering death
I like how you saw Lockstin and Gnoggin as an inspiration for your thumbnail
Purple Death is the strongest dragon we’ve seen by far. Over the years I’ve felt like the only person that gave this dragon attention. Purple Death is my 2nd favorite dragon.
Well a titan wing bewilderbeast (probably like the one we see on valhallah) could possibly beat it
@@Alastordadeer Yeah possibly just due to it massive size, but we never root to see one alive sadly.
My 2nd favorite class of the HTTYD Dragons, this was absotuely amazing
ye
That stouik (however the hell it is supposed to spell his name) impression is actually pretty good
Troupe master Grimm background music hits hard
cant wait for boulder class
In the books hiccups riding dragon is called a windwalker and the 2nd fastest dragon in the world and the windwalker in this is almost a match to how the windwalker in the books looks so my guess is they put it in as a nod to the books but it didn't like up with any of the classification so they just put it in tidel class for easy. But the books are good and you should read them they are very different to the films in a good way but there are 12 of them but it is very Very much worth it
The purple death is based on a dragon from book one in the original book series. Definitely read it they're awesome
hearing the pixelmon soundtrack is always a welcome sound
The tideglider is vibing
The thunderdrum was always my favorite dragon, and I always wished I had one irl.
i rlly love how he got inspired by lockstin & noggin to make the thumbnail for this video lol
My favourite class
Next time you should do stoker class they have some cool dragons
This video hurts, I thought I had gotten over my SoD heartbreak but apparently not
Finally
Now every time I see a thunderdrum I hear it have a stoic voice and accent thanks 😂
This is nostalgic.
0:33 oh yeah I wouldn’t be dead I’d have drank so much alcohol I’d have turned into a bottle of alcohol myself.
I LOVE Sand Wraiths! I miss my school of dragons Sand Wraith so much 😢
Do boulder class next
Your vids remind me of lockstin!!
I see you use some pixelmon songs. Also love the vids!
I was literally wondering this yesterday on how there were so many water dragons but not in tidal class?
Keep It Up! (idk if u remember me im totaltheo old acc got hacked)
please more.
Honestly i see myself with either a Sliquifier or a Tide Glider if i had a dragon. I love the ocean
My favourite Tidal class dragon is the flood fang 💙
"Sonic blast. Sorry, SONIC BLAST!!" *Proceeds to turn scottish*
tbh I am part Scottish so it fits XD
They shrunk the dunk
Yes
"Unlike a certain submarine" got me dead 💀
I just realized that the song on the background is NKG'S theme song from hollow knight, one of the background themes
The ripwrecker Looks like a giant gronkle in multiple images
The Luminous Crayfin’s firepower kind of reminds me of a slowed down Pistol Shrimp’s pinch
I was not aware that there was a community of people who took how to train your dragon to this extreme
Pogzers
Shot challenge accepted!
2:30 seconds in and 10 shots in with just the word water😅
10 shots the first minute... my livers gonna be working out today
I love tidal class dragons. My favourite is the sand wraith
can you make a list about the largest dragons in httyd franchise? like those 50 ft and above
The Purple Death looks like a fvckin' Susanoo...
New Tidal class description: These dragons lives revolve completely or heavily around water
Bro ive never heard of the fathomfin before this and damn is it hot. Gonna have to comm some art for e621 because its a travesty that there isnt any
0:54 how did I not notice A Scaldren in the hidden world?!
Leeeeees gooo water boys
Maybe tide glider is reminiscent of deep sea animals and the frills on its head glow to lure other creatures or dragons
Tidal class is my favorite.
Probably because i love marine biology
My fav is the fathomfin
Alright finally.
