No, Toothless SPECIFICALLY is the most dangerous because he has the power of plot.
Night Furies are the unholy offsprings of lightning and death itself.
No not really, they have the potential to reach that alpha form.
I know the alpha mode is more powerful, but I meant the title is what makes Night Furies feared the most.
That’s what they r referred to as yet they let out plasma blasts not lighting bolts like the skrill

Not to forget that Toothless can disappear like a light fury but at a bigger scale, meaning he uses lightning power to turn invisible. This also damage dragons who are attacking him

What made toothless strong was also hiccup. A lot of the feats Toothless accomplished was because of Hiccup's intelligence and leadership skills. The thing which allowed Toothless to defeat the Red death, Screaming death, Skrill and other powerful dragons was always Hiccup's ability to know a dragon's weakness and use tools. Without Hiccup's help, toothless would of lost a lot of battles again many of the dragons on this list. In the very first few minutes Toothless lost against Hiccup losing a part of his tail after all.
That's true it's like the same bond Eddie and venom have there stronger together same with hiccup and toothless
The only somewhat exception to this is the 2nd film where Toothless gains superpowers for some reason, and defeats the Bewilderbeast on his "own" (he broke free because of Hiccup, but battled the dragon and rallied the others to his side himself)
No hiccup makes him more human toothless would e dangerous he almost killed th alpha, the scorpion dragon and many more

Remember, Skrill alone was able to match Night Fury with best Rider ever, Night Fury is top 1 only because of Hicccup. If we consider normal Night Fury then many dragons will overpower it. Heck, Toothless was slave to Red Death as other dragons.
That's cause toothless was a kid in the first movie and even than he wasn't a slave like the others it was more like him going, screw it its better to give the red death food than fight about, and he ended up killing it while a kid toothless now would kill the red death without a problem
@@MichaelDeuter Nope. Toothless was able to kill Red Death only because Hiccup shows him where to aim. Without raider Toothless will be crushed, because Red Death would be able to simply tank all shots and wait utill Toothless will be exhausted.

@@Bzhydack The main reason I would suspect toothless needing hiccup was because toothless himself was very young. An older toothless; who has unlocked his alpha mode, mastered the ability to cloak himself with lightning, and can even somewhat manipulate lightning; would find it pre easy to take out the red death. I mean we saw toothless take out the bewilderbeest without any of his lightning abilities and without even flying lmao. The red death is confirmed to be weaker than the bewilderbeest too so if toothless easily defeated a bewilderbeest why could it not defeat the red death?
Did you know: speed stingers were apparently if given enough time they would have adapted to hunt in the day and also the speed stinger didnt just need ice bridges and glaciers they could run on water as we seen they travelled to go find the stinger the group took to heal they followed them and attacked.
Also in the video, as he says "They are restricted and can only run on land", he literally shows a clip of one running on water...
tbf those speedstingers were much more evolved than "normal" speedstingers. So normally they are really dependent on icebridges and cant run on water
Skrill can also use his lightning emiting ability to speed himself up, have probably the largest acceleration from all dragons, because is able to start so fast that is literaly disapearing.
I agree, I feel like the skrill should be number one, though it may seem like the night fury is good, I really believe that plot armor is its best defense

I personally have to respectfully disagree and put the Screaming Death at number 1 as you said you can't really defeat it, and you forgot something on them, they have the thickest scales of any dragon as Toothless shot point blank and at only a few months old it shrugged every attack off like if Hiccup ever tried to punch his dad
They can beat a normal Night Fury.
But not a full power Alpha Mode one.
When Toothless enters that mode, he has an infinite shot count, max durability and power on par with if not above the Bewilderbeast.
But if we’re using a base Night Fury, like Toothless for 99% of the series, then I agree.

Base Toothless fought a few month old Screaming death and couldn't win, so at full adulthood a Screaming Death is more the capable of taking alpha Toothless head on,
Plus we don't even know when Screaming deaths reach adulthood, if it's anything like humans at around 18 years old then an adult Screaming Death would be more then capable of beating Toothless should one challenge the lone dragon in single combat
And just to add insult to injury any dragon can gain an Alpha state, so should an adult Screaming Death claim the tittle, he will be the undisputed ruler till the day he dies

I would say the cavern crasher should be higher up. It only got overpowered when it lost its slime before that it easily took down the fireworm queen off screen and managed to hold it's own against all the dragon riders and their dragons with the help of its slime. It probably could have beaten any of them in a 1v1 with its slime.
you do know that all dragons are like fire proof and that the dragon flyers did not know what the cavern crasher was and they could have easily beat is if hiccup did not want to hurt it
First off, the cavern crasher cannot fly, which gives it a very limited range of movement, second, if it were to fight in an open area, it would be completely vulnerable
It is very fast so it could just dodge their attacks and hit them with slime then blast them with fire.
Only 39?! I would be cool to see ones from the other medias as there are a bunch more dangerous and scary dragons! But hey, although I may not agree with all the rankings, I love this idea and you've done a great breakdown of the dragons power and abiilties!

Like the snaptrapper. I fell like there was a lot from the 2nd movie and Race to the edge which were not shown in this video. The book of dragons as well.
And a lot of the big dragons were missing, It would have been cool to see them aswell. And the shadowwings, some of my favourite dragons.
Even the timberjack was missing a dragon mentioned all the way back in movie 1
The Night Furies are only number 1 because Toothless is of that species. If Toothless was a Gronkle, then you know Gronkles would've been at number 1. With that being said, if I were in the world of HTTYD, I'd want a Night Fury, Skrill or Screaming Death, even though the last one is completely untrainable, probably because of low intellect and high instincts.

Screaming death is a sub species of whispering death that is a albino and is a lot bigger. The one we saw in the series was still a baby. t would be a couple times bigger if mature! With size comparable to the bewilderbeast and all the abilities it is considered the stongest dragon and all who try to fight it will be doomed! Toothless attacks did nothing to him just annoyed him. He could hide with invisibility and stike him from distance but he would exhaust himself before doing any damege. The best he could do would be to bully him and cause him depression XD.
The only way to kill it in it's mature form I can think of is to blowing it up from the inside, starving it to death or like droping a meteorite on it.
The one we saw in the series was a child rather than a baby the final time

The Screaming Death would actually be a little over three years old. We see him again in Race to the Edge which is set three years after the Dagur fiasco
In race to the edge he has already grown a lot bigger than in the original series. His size would definitely be massive as a adult and considering his scales can deflect most damage and his teeth. He would be one of the strongest ever
@@staticbuilds7613 Yeah, though he’s probably weaker than a bewilderbeast considering it is basically confirmed as the strongest species of dragons in the entirety of the verse. I mean, before toothless’s alpha mode powers came to him his first instinct was to bow because he saw one of the specimens of that strongest species. The only one it’s debatable with is the purple death.

I personally disagree with a large part of these rankings and can think of several species that were forgotten. But this was a great video idea
Grim Gnasher, Shellfire, and Submaripper off the top of my head, I imagine others were left out for some reason or another; Snaptrapper and Timberjack probably ignored because they are never given significant/any screen time outside the Book of Dragons short, the Scuttleclaw likely left out due to only ever seeing babies, never adults, and the 'crowd' Dragons from the 2nd movie likely ignored due to basic/limited information on any of them
Cavern crasher at #32 was when I realized this was a horrible list ranking
Hobblegrunt, bonenapper, eruptidon, sandbuster, seashocker, raincutter, shelfire, and timberjack are some they missed.
I also think the Rumblehorn was missed. I didn't see the whole video tho.

Yep just like in every vs fight he always says every fighter is one of the best fighters in their Universe. It's tiresome and the terms most powerful or best become meaningless when Danco uses them.
Toothless is as strong as he is because of hiccup but that doesn’t change the fact that he is the strongest. No other dragon would benefit that much from a rider because they are not as loyal and intelligent. Also remember he learnt the invisible thing without hiccup along with the going blue mode or whatever. Night furies have the possibility of becoming alphas with power and experience. (Also toothless and hiccup are the main characters so what did you expect)

Boneknapper would be slightly higher than armorwing, eruptodon would be top 8 and nightlights would be last or top 3 depending on if we’re talking about a fully grown one
Edit: Seashocker and sand buster are both pretty niche dragon since once can’t go on land and one gets cooked by sunlight so probably bottom 5

These r some other dragons I thought of as well as checked afterwards in my dragon books and in the httyd stuff online, fire terror, green death, eruptodon, snafflefang, thunder claw, snifflehunch, mudraker, timberjack, grimknasher, raincutter, wind striker, shovertooth, seashocker, submaripper, shellfire, sand wraith, bone napper, sand buster, forever wing, sword stealer and sand trapper
I also missed some but you found more missing then I could come up with
Most of these are just sub-species of other dragons such as green death and sand wraith but submaripper and shellfire are def 7 and 6
The fact that the whispering AND the screaming death end up top 10 and top 2 shows a lot about the power of this family.
I'm Glad my Fav (Singetail) made top ten, their abilities are quite insane. But i also would've liked to seen where the Submaripper would've been place considering it's size and abilities. Overall geat vid

The screaming death is stronger than The Bewilderbeast...? I dont really think so. Its ABSURDLY STRONG ofc. But the Screaming Death obeyed The Bewilderbeast from berserker island's call. It appeared with the rest of the dragons in a frame of the last episode of Race to the Edge
yep but screaming death was young back then, same rules with toothless being a young dragon ended up obeying the red death
though I think the reason why screaming death joined the bewilder beast distress call is because of the screaming deaths mother, he himself is already a potential alpha but his mom is just a regular dragon, and he bows to none other than his mother
this is also evidence that certain species of dragons can enter titan wing and alpha mode prior to challenging an alpha or perhaps an act or rebellion or disobedience, something not only exclusive to nightfury

[Speed] : Maximum speed is calculated to be '448 m/s' or '1,612.8 km/h' AKA faster than the speed of sound though this can only be achieve in
some circumstances and can fly and migrate at a long distance
[Defense] : The most powerful armor (Plot Armor) but in all seriousness it is still unknown except for the fact that he can withstands Plasma
blast, Fireproof and can withstand heavy bites at a certain level and can withstand the deadly whips of a whispering death
[Attack Potency] : Sonic Dive + Charged Plasma Blast (High)
[Intelligence] : High (Understanding of behavior, having empathy and understands human language [ like a sign ] )
[Rarity] : Rarest of all kinds after 'Grimmel the Grisly' killed all the other night fury and Toothless being known as the last specimen of it's kind
[Overall] : [ Heavy Plasma Blast, Claws, Supersonic speed with High endurance, Very Intelligent, Alpha Dragon, and Heavy Fireproof Skin (armor) ]
So I'm Putting him at [ Small City level Attack ] and [ High level of endurance and Durability ] with [ Supersonic Speed ]
You also forgot, the Smothering Smokebreaths are also formidable because they need the metal they take for their nests.

Amazing job on the video Daniel. Dragons are some my favorite mythological creatures of all time. Toothless is Goated.
Just an honest advice. If you make a list woth 39 and with still 30 left starting with terms like incredibly powerfull, deadliest or most dangerous and other superlatives you have the problem that the for the following part of the list (with os most of it) you cant really top that scaling.
So you two dragons with much physical strength end up on the same even though one ist like 10 times as strong. You have to use these terms in a relativ view on the list.
And besides that dont say all 39 when there are more dragons that are juat not on this list😂
I am pretty sure a death song can count as deadly given its great size and alluring ability it handles itself really good

I agree with night fury being number 1. Its just that toothless is like a nerf version of its kind. He relies on hiccup and not that much aggressive. But a wild night fury will full aggression and fully knows it potential and power could make that screaming death its meal everytime it sees one.

This was a great video but I think that you left out some key dragons that may not be big in the movie but important to httyd fans
Toothless may individuallly be the strongest, but I’m not sure about the entire species itself compared to other alphas and the Red death, which is a literal force of nature.
Even toothless has shown a lot of weaknesses throughout the series and can be over powered by any dragon in a similar size.
A lot of his accomplishments wouldn’t be without hiccup.

fun fact, the crimson goregutter shown in the third movie is actually a very young child. Fully grown crimson goregutters are way bigger, and can get all the way up to being half the size of a bewilderbeast

I cant get over the fact the Screaming Death is basically just a giant sperm cell
I'd say this is a very decent list👌. I personally would have put the monstrous nightmare higher (above the nadder or even higher).
My top five would've been as followed: screaming death, skrill, bewilderbeast, red death and on the top the night fury.
I have to mention: many in the comment section said that toothless was only so strong because of hiccup. And wile this is somewhat right he would'nt have had such strengh (and abilities) if it was'nt for him beeing a night fury.
The screaming death is also a really op one. And many say that he's the strongest if he were an adult. But I don't think he could beat skrill, bewilderbeast and red death and toothless beat at least the last two. On top of that you have to consider the IQ and the ability to really think about what they are doing in the fight (wich is how he beat the red death). Fairly enough: this was hiccups idea but toothless still is much smarter about his actions than the other ones.
The rest of the lost is fairly good although I can't say much about the placement of the individual dragons because there're too many🥲
