Little mistake on my end! Windgnashers tend to have more of a icy blast attack. We don't see them use their fire power in the films, so the only reference we do have are the games, where they have the blast! (doesn't change their positioning in the video)
I glossed over the firepower quite a bit as it wasn't to relveant to the dragons beeing Tracker, but thats not excuse for sloppy research. May bad :) Thanks to people for leting me know!
Can't wait for Fear and mystery class
Deadly nadders are actually in both classes and who said nadders ain’t also sharp I mean sharp class symbols is a deadly nadder and the deadly nadders fire helped on the dragon eye to show sharp class dragons
I’m not even joking when I say that during the height of my httyd obsession I redid the entire classification system for all the dragons because I was so mad that they didn’t make any sense lmao. So seeing someone with similar opinions and complaints makes me way happier than it probably should….
so i wasnt the only one that was stupidly opsessed with httyd a few years ago
I was the same xd. I had notebook that served as book of dragons to me and i changed some dragon classes, created my own dragons, made maps like Hiccup in the second movie and stuff like that. Yeah and i deleted tracker class because it didn't make sence to me that their only characteristic was that they are good hunters.
i mean i think it works, you know why? because back in the viking area they had STUPID classification systems, so it makes sense for the vikings to miss clasify these dragons.
Where is it if I may ask? It'd be neat to see it if you still have it.
I never stopped being obsessed. Other obsessions were just added to me.
Personally I think Nadders should be both Tracker and Sharp class cause who says dragons can only have one class
tru
@@NewOrca heck once I wrote down my information on every Httyd at the time and I made Nadders Tracker and Sharp class, I did similar things with other dragons changing their class if the one they had didn’t fit them
i get confused in what class they are in, jusg mane them both
Exactly! Nadders are literally the definition of sharp class
Yo it should be like Pokemon with two types!
Personally I’m 100% ok with like a 45+ min episode or a 2 part special for the mystery class instead of making the segments shorter.
AGREED
I need more hour-long+ videos about HTTYD, and a specific class would be ✨✨✨
I would love to, but I'm thinking about I need to get them out. My last hour long video took 3 months to make. we'll see what happens :) (knowing me I'll get carried away with the writing)
I think it would've been cool if the THUNDERclaw had electrosense like a platypus
YES
That really makes sense if they are called thunderclaw if not they should be called stalkclaw or something that does not involve thunder cause it doesn’t really make sense but since I’m not the devs I respect their decision
Personally, I think the Tracker class itself is absolutely meaningless, with the criteria for it being way too vague, and the fact they tossed the Deadly Nadder in there who is meant to be the poster-child of the Sharp class is just downright stupid.
Didn’t tracker class replace sharp or am I dumb?
@@XxJ3ST3RxX
No, it's the Fear class that got scrapped.
@@peternagy6847 ohh
I think the best answer is to keep the original class system as shown from the first movie, to classify based on their biology, habitat and hunting strategy, and add a secondary class system based on what they are good at as tamed dragons, like tracking. The secondary classes would be a lot like how dogs are classified based on their old jobs they were bred for like herding, hunting, and companion dogs. Or with race horses vs work horses.
That is a pretty good idea
I don’t know why but I love the Snifflehunch. Just something about it made it my second favourite dragon right behind the Hobblegrunt.
Yeah snifflehunch is one the cutest dragons ever
I started liking it because the name
But it is way more op than it seems
the hobblegrunt is my second favorite dragon :))
Honestly I don’t even think the tracker class needs to exist it’s more of a sub class then a full blown one in my opinion
Yeh, it needs a little more work
I think it would make sense if dragons weren't limited to one class. Like deadly nadders would be classified as Sharp-Trackers.
you should do a theory on how all the dragons live in peace in the hidden world like screaming death and huge tidal dragons and skrill
If any one knows one of the dragons in hidden world is tracker
A rock eating hard shelled squat crystal horned lava spewing dragon called a gem breaker is a tracker class because it has good hearing
Getting rid of the fear class and replacing it with the Tracker Class is the dumbest thing to ever happen to the HTTYD series before it ended
Especially in the sense of which dragons were moved as a result.
- The Deadly Nadder is the FLAGSHIP of Sharp Class Dragons. I don't care how many games of fetch you play with Stormfly, that change is stupid.
- The Hideous Zippleback is the FLAGSHIP of the FEAR Class. Being in the mystery class makes no sense, especially when we already know how the Zippleback works. gas + spark = BOOM. And no, having 2 heads does not justify being a mystery class.
- The Snaptrapper should stay in the fear class as it's just a zippleback on steroids
If you want to make the bullcrap excuse of the Fear class disappearing because the Vikings are no longer scared of the dragons due to training them.
JUST BECAUSE IT IS POSSIBLE TO TRAIN A DRAGON DOES NOT JUSTIFY NOT BEING SCARED OF ONE, ESPECIALLY MORE DANGEROUS DRAGONS LIKE THE FLIGHTMARE, SPEED STINGER, AND WHISPERING DEATH.
And hell, just have the frickin Rumblehorn be the flagship of the Tracker Class, as that's the dragon that prompted Hiccup to make a tracker class.
I agree
I strongly disagree
look , I think mystery class is like the "where the feck is this going to go?" "eh mystery , it fits no other class" , so its basically a left over if it cant fit anywhere else , yeet it into mystery
@@FlintsForge6931 FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT
@GorjiraFan-in9oo I agree. And these dragons would fit perfectly with fear class.
1. hideous zippleback
2. Snaptrapper
3. Slither wing
4. Speed stinger
5. Sandbuster
6. Night terror
7. Shadow wing
8. Hobgobbler
I'm glad that this series is back and this video was pretty great.
Even the School of Dragons game had mudraker as a tidal class originally, but for some reason its tracker now? I wouldn’t blame them either for thinking it was a tidal class. I mean.. look at it!
To be fair when the Moldruffle initially released it said that was tidal as well.
I'm still more than a little annoyed that Nadder got randomly re-classed as a tracker in like.. the THIRD movie..
For the longest time, there was no indication of a Nadder having a particularly noteworthy sense of smell. I'd say it's safe to say that it's quite similar to most non-Tracker class dragon senses of smell (ignoring the third movie entirely for now because I'm not done complaining about inconsistency.)
It doesn't make sense for it to still be the symbol of Sharp class if it's now Tracker class, further throwing a wrench in these issues it has.
And finally, if Nadders were as good at smelling as they've been alleged to be, why was Stormfly struggling to find the trainees in the maze Gobber set up in the very first movie? If she were truly a Tracker, it would've been easy for her to pinpoint their location and rush over, then keep tracking them if they moved until she eventually overwhelmed them. But no, she had to be _smart_ and cheat the maze to find anyone, of her own ability at least, I don't count smelling/hearing the Twins at point blank. And that's another thing, how did she NOT know the Twins were right in front of her (until they started making noise)? Are they saying that a Nadder can't recognize prey unless they've seen it first? Point-blank, she knows what Vikings smell like, the scent would be at its most powerful, so why in the world would she have _not_ attacked at that point?
Can't wait for you to talk about the stoker class and how they are supposed to be the best with fire but they are the only ones who can 'run out' of fire like????
This was just a huge knowledge dump and I love it! And I see where you’re getting it with moldruffle I always thought it was a stoker class never a tracker class dragon anyway this video was incredible! Keep up the spectacular work!
I love the idea of the tracker class, and it conceptually makes sense, it’s weakness just comes from being established so late in the franchise. Like you said, there is a lot of class overlap with tracker and the others, because it was added after all of the other classes which already included dragons with sensory abilities. If it had been created at the start then it could carve out a more firm set of characteristics, Night Furies wouldn’t get echolocation and Tracker would get to distinguish itself from the others.
I also think the pain of this class is brought on by fundamental issues with the class system, which is kinda arbitrary. It’s based on “abilities” held by dragons, which is very loose but admittedly fitting for the shows time period. But the traits of each class just don’t make sense.
Tidal class dragons aren’t distinguished for their abilities, but their habitat. So we’ve already broken the system
Sharp class is defined by “spikes”, which is similarly a trait that most dragons have. The wiki mentions them all having venom but that blatantly isn’t true, Timberjacks, Hackatoo, and Eggbiters are all sharp class and they have no semblance of venom. And if venom was a defining trait, then why are Slitherwings mystery? The other trait of sharp is “vainness”, which is a anthropomorphic trait that non-human animals can’t comprehend (plenty of animals preen and clean themselves, but that isn’t because they’re vain).
Stoker class dragons are distinguished for their fire, something that most dragons have. Stokers are just “more fiery” i guess, but that’s totally subjective. Nadder’s have the hottest fire of any dragon, why aren’t they Stoker?
And don’t get me started on Strike and Mystery
TLDR: Tracker Class doesn’t work, but that isn’t its fault. It was added too late into an already miserably flawed system
Nice work man can’t wait to see ones for the rest of the classes
I love that a trait of the tracker class is that most of them are really bulky and tank-like without resembling the boulder class too much
"[The Windgnasher's] firepower is shooting small round balls of fire." I'm afraid that's incorrect. The Windgnasher is an ice dragon, its firepower being an icy blizzard blast. Its firepower was never seen in the films, but its frosty breath has been detailed in the games 'Dragons: Rise of Berk' and 'Dragons: Titan Uprising'. Not sure why the wiki steered you wrong here, guess it needs some correcting.
Thanks! Yeh completly missed that. I didn't pay to much attention to firepower, as it's not to relvant for the Tracker Class
You said Submaripper and my immediate reaction was 'hey isn't it Tidal Class though -?'
love this series this is the reason why i subbed to you and i’m really glad that your continuing it
Yeh! I want to others like all the fire type explained and looking at specific dragons origins and abilities
love this series keep it up man
Thanks!
Could you do sharp next? sorry if you mentioned a specific order somewhere i must have missed it :)
Nah, there's no order :)
YEEESS HES BACK AND ANOTHER PHENOMENAL VIDEO LOVE IT SO MUCH AND I CANT WAIT FIR THE NEXT ONE KEEP IT UP!!
Thank you very much 😊
As someone who LOVED the lockstin series and is constantly hyper fixating on httyd thank you
This was very entertaining and informative on dragons. Been a long time since I saw some HTTYD content. Very much looking forward to more videos.
Submarippers have a bit of tracking, one could easily sense the vibrating knife when it was dropped into the water in race to the edge.
I love this series and cant wait for more but dont feel pressured to make these vidoes at a set time frame and it would be fine to have the bigger classes like mystery to be multiple parts
Yesss, Tracker Class is one of my favorites
5:48 My Favourite Part Of the Whole Video XD
In Crushing It, Skullcrusher detected the earthquake which caused the tsunami. Rumblehorns are sensitive to vibrations, which is how Skullcrusher also knew when the riders where tracking him
I really love this!!!! Keep it up (also I for enjoy all the puns haha)
Thank you!
If i'm not mistaken Toothless is actually also a good tracker since he can throw some plasma waves and it's like an echo location. Not sure what is that all i know is him hiccup were being chased and toothless used that to escape.
Toothless can use a form of echolocation like bats, sending sound waves out that bounce back to the user, enabling to navigate in areas where they cant see well.
I have been waiting for this
Pls keep up the good work and this whole series
Thank you! Means a lot :)
The lockstin like tumbnail made me interested Nd the video made me subscribe good job
2:52 that's very accurate because both were mistaken in being the problems but were the solutions
this vd was informativeand entertaining. love it
Apparently the reason the Submaripper is a Tracker Class is because they can detect small vibrations in the water to hunt for prey. However, like you said for the Mudraker, it makes for sense still for a Tracker.
Not gonna lie, this was pretty cool sir...you can tell the hard work you put into your content..thanks for that
Thanks!
I love the prehistoric park reference
I love this content, first time here and the jokes caught me so offguard, and I loved it! Great content
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
I loved the way you changed your voice xD
Deadly Nadder is my second-favourite dragon in HTTYD after the Night Fury (obviously). I mean come on, they are basically big scaly birbs, and they like being stroked and cuddled with! Just look at Stormfly, she's so precious!
Love the edits
Thanks! It's a big part of the video and it feels like it gets underappreciated :)
I remember when I was a dragons nerd.
God I got to re-watch that movie/ show
I can’t wait for more videos in this series
I'm currently writing the next one XD
@@NewOrca the feeling I just felt was equivalent to the feeling of taking a $1 out of your pocket only to find out it’s actually a $20
9:49
its been a while since I've seen riders/defenders of berk but i think he was riding her because due to some (at the time) undiscovered dragon root, Hookfang and Stormfly kept fighting so Astrid and Snotlout swapped dragons
The mystery class is what used to be fear class (changed after vikings stopped fearing dragons) and is useed for dragons that do not fit into the other catagories, and dont have enough dragons with similar characteristics for a class to be made. The tracker class was made after they discovered enough dragons that had an insane sense of smell and an amazing ability to track there prey.
I'd assume that the submaripper was added due to these key details about it, one in the episode where the riders went to see what was up the submaripper seemed to be aware there was a lot of dragons in the area, and yes the scaldron I think is how its pronounced was in the area at the same time but even after it escaped the submaripper continued to use its ability to pull the riders in, although I do also think its a heavy sleeper, bro was sleeping like a rock when they came in the second time and only woke when rocks were flung at it, it also probably had similar sense receptors to the mudrakers, just a lot more, which gave it the ability to notice boats and dragons moving on top of the water from the floor, and considering its size it might have had to be a pretty deep area
I feel like for some dragons, they would either be moved to a different class or have two types of classes, like Pokémon that have two types (i.e. Grass/Poison, Fire/Flying, Normal/Psychic).
I’m so happy 😃 happy 😆 thank all the love 💗 for the girls 👧 that you have been doing I really do miss seeing your family in your dreams but you know
0:52 😆😆 I loved it when that insult was still popular
The submaripper can sense vibrations in the water to sense anything and everything in the water
have always thought about the Nader being in sharp and never understanding why they put it into tracker
.
i cant wait for mystery class
THIS DESERVES WAY MORE LIKES
thanks!
Maybe lore wise dragons are part of multiple classes at once. For example you could have one that’s both a thunder and fear class.
Gobber you are nuts in that episode
The reason why the summer ripper actually a tracker is because of its sense of vibrations he has shown in the show that is very good at picking up and we'll actually react high levels of intelligence and also able to tell friend from foe based on instinct
“Telling them, Pooie stinky that smells, or Yum Yum Cookie”.
-NewOrca 2022
Make more of these
I wish some had more Tracker abilities. Like if Nadders could track where their spikes end up to find prey they've wounded.
There’s this guy on TikTok that does a really good Hiccup impression, it would be awesome to hear him narrate one of these types of videos
100% do mystery next i think they are the best class
are you going to include grapple grounder in the bolder class video?
Most likely, if its on the list I will include it
Can you please tell me what are the names of these dragons in the movie?
1. The dragon Hiccup distracted with the flaming blade when he landed in the colony of dragons after captured by Valka in HTTYD2.
2. The blue dragons that appear in HTTYD 2 AND 3. You can mainly see them during the introduction of Berk in HTTYD when the vikings cross the road of dragons.
3. Drago’s dragons
12:17 Something I’d mind is, knowing from the playing it since launch, outside of certain necessary points, both Rise of Berk and School of Dragons make no sense of canon beyond the first movie what so ever, so I’d say it’s not best to trust them alone.
However, since these are really the only sources, I’d say the best guide would be School of Dragons since in comparison to the other game it has more room for explanation of species in the game, plus as seen with varying cases such as the terrible terror, the Stoker class is often used as a mix of Stoker and “all-rounders” as some said to be in it, such as the two species, don’t inherently have distinctive skills or traits which appoint them to a specific class.
To be fair, skullcrusher probably knows hiccup’s scent without the helmet, so he would only need the slightest whiff to know what to look for.
YESSSSSSS FINALLY
Out of all the parts of the thunderclaw the only thing o thought and said out loud is “no, it’s “num num cookie”, not yum yum cookie” 😂
Please do sharp class next
The purple thunderclaw is named rumpus rumpus my boy😊
i will die on the hill that nadders are sharp class.
I missed it when the tracker class was once fear class 😢.
The submaripper can sense tiny changes in the water.
How in the 9 realms is the submaripper part tracker class
Do the other classes please
I literally do this for fun😂 lowkey thought I was the only one
tidal next with sand wraith and shockjaw
It might be that nadders are labeled as trackers because that trait is more important to a rider than the sharp spines. Being able to track people or animals would be much more important for a village of people. Thus at first, when it was an enemy, it would be sharp because that's what a person fighting one would need to know, but as the village changed from hunters to riders of dragons and grew to understand the dragon's better, it became tracker.
Tracker class has to be my favorite class. I don’t like most of the dragons in the class, as my favorite dragon is Skrill (xD) but I love their skill set and UNIQUE ABILITIES. Seriously, this class is just amazingly different.
Ability* the only classification of a tracker class dragon is "it smell really well" lol
Ah, finally
I'm about halfway through the video, and tbh I was expecting this video be all about insulting HTTYD. But I'm actually really impressed and happy about this, thank you for not absolutely trashing HTTYD but making it better!!
I've finished it, and I think the Submaripper is able to detect disturbances in the water, it being so large I think it would have that sensory organ in it's skin and or able to use echolocation similar to whales. It's skin would also be sensitive to disturbances like when hiccup swam close to it, I was kinda surprised it had noticed him that quickly, and his presence waking him up.
Vikings actually often bathed. :D
16:47 night furies are supposed to use their echolocation to get around, this dragon uses their echolocation to find prey, that would mean he is tracking.
Still not a strong enough reason. A bunch of tidal class dragons have abilities to track down their prey in the water.
there are only two little bits of information I would include. there is a snifflehunch subspecies called the sneezlehunch which sneezes ice instead. not anything defining but a cool detail and the rockstomper/moldruffle can use its horns like a divining rod to find water and probably have a tracking ability like squirrels as they bury things. both are still where you placed them and aside from windgnashers and rumblehorns you could argue every other tracker class could be in some other class instead.
that would proabalytt be more approaite for a video on that specific dragon spieces, the fire type isn't to relevant to the reasons why its tracker
true. it is not a big difference in the class system being as theres an ice spitting dragon from 3-4 classes.
Nadders in sharp, And the image for tracker is the fear i.age
Hello, I love your HTTYD videos, could you do a video on the sharp class?
I will adventually do it! Don't worry :)
@@NewOrca okay!👍
Reminds me of lockstin and gnoggin
New Tracker class description: This is the second most intelligent class of dragons known to be the friendliest of all, with a strong sense of smell and/or keen eyesight
i didnt think the designers do this but all these dragons look like they are part of the same evolutionary family. Some of them look like very close relatives too
That's something I'm going to look into 😉
1:21 I didn't know dragons could shoot missiles I thought they shot FIRE BALLS
I think submarriper is tracker bc he can detect even smallest move in water
Isn"t he sumbaripper a leviathan class (a tidal class subgroup) dragon though
15:24
man im torn
like, in my dumb brain technically camping could be a "tracker" in a vague sense?
anglers, ambush predators n the like, not scanning large areas but has a really good understanding/hold on their range?
but on the other end, its such a localized area but tracking implies following a target of interest
the fact that the dragon that is the logo of sharp class is in tracker
