The train could be more powerful than we think. If you have ever seen the movie, you know that it appears that the entire movie takes place on the night of christmas eve. We experienced two days while they experienced an hour or two. This means the train can bend time. Also, the Polar Express in the movie is shown to have 25 passenger cars. Throughout the movie, it shifts the number of cars it has. For all we can know, in this universe santa could in fact be real and uses his magic to send the train out, or the train is a whole other being on earth.

for a perspective on how fast the train actually moves, at 24:32 it says that it moved from ontario to entering nunavut. that means its a distance of about 900 miles as it says. traveling 900 miles in 5 minutes is a speed of roughly 10,800/mph. thats 7x the speed of the the Mig-31, which is about 1,550/mph and 5x the speed of which the moon orbits us. which is about 2,822/mph. so that means this train moves faster than even some physics itself.
This is amazing because you didn’t go out of your way to make this extra creepy, but instead you genuinely just made it true to the story of the Polar Express. Thank you

one thing I love about this video is that the polar express aren’t evil, they’re just like they are in the movie, they certainly aren’t like creepy horror entities like Goji from The Man in the Suit, the whole situation is definitely realistic
This is weird and scary in a good way. I used to watch this at least 4 times a day as a kid during December and this actually uses logic and what would happen if it was realistic. its quite simple how the train is moving so quickly, in fact, it goes the same speed as any other steam engine of its caliber, it the movie, you can see as the engineer and fireman are trying to catch the pin for the speed control, for a brief moment a flux copastor can bee seen in the cab of the engine! The polar express is simply jumping through time.
I wonder what the Hero Boy would think of the emergency broadcasts, especially considering the movie took place in the 50s and he would be an adult now.

This is enthralling, fantastic work. I’ve loved the story of the Polar Express ever since I saw it in theaters when I was 5. This just makes me want a spin-off where they have the U.S. federal govt. attempting to discover where these kids went, and since it takes place in 1957, putting a spin on it like Russia is involved or something to reflect Cold War tensions. Great work

It is also seen traveling over the Ice surface of the Arctic Ocean by rails laid into it when three of the characters sing "When Christmas Comes to Town"
