When you said that sometimes real doesn't alway look realistic so you had to paint the hat, all i could think of was the Simpsons Radioactive man ep where the film guys say that cows don't look like cows on film so they have to paint horses, and if they want horses they usually tape a bunch of cats together :)

I think Raider types have the coolest outfits, that one with the spark plug shoulders would be perfect. If I ever get the room in my place for this kinda project, I'm gonna adopt that idea.
LaRaikaa I just started making my costume tonight, and I put a baby doll head on my shoulder lol, so we have some crazy ass ideas, spark plugs, a baby doll head XD

>Hey Nuclear Snail! < I have a suggestion for you to try. Take some blue jeans and shoot them at a distance with a 12 gage with bird shot. Then wash the pants several times. You need to cover the zipper with a piece of steel but the shredded hole effect is pretty cool. Don't shoot them too close! Stay away at least 30 feet. I did this when I was a kid in high school. Enjoy!
What type of material did you use for the plating on your vest you showed for reference I would like to recreate it and if so how much is it
What about super-realistic settings, like a civil war/civilians resisting against a foreign invasion, would'nt a tactical vest over normal clothes be sufficient in that case?

Not sure whether someone mentioned this before: Nice trigger control! :) I'm not into guns but people keeping their fingers _on_ the trigger when moving around with a gun do disturb even my immersion ;) Happens a lot in movies too.

I'm thinking about making a sniper/stealthy/recon character with like the scarf thing goggles a tattered hoody some kind of blue jeans a pair of cowboy boots and a tattered cowboy hat.
hey can u make post apocalyptic armor fit for an alien invasion? id like ta see what that would look like like with humans trying to survive an alien take over how would that be done my guess would be technology based armor like cyborgs etc but I would just like to see how u would build something like this

Currently I only make outfits/ loadouts for airsoft and before someone comments I know this is very different however I believe I can apply the same mindset to apocalyptic setting. I make something "realistic" in the setting I'm playing in. For example if I'm being a soldier I won't have 500 mags on me etc

Meine Englischkentnisse sind eben gerade auch nicht so die besten und vieles erklärt sich für mich auch nur deshalb weil du es zeigst. ;-)
sorry, es wäre sehr viel arbeit für eine sehr geringe zielgruppe :/ kannst es ja mit anderen larpkumpels zusamme ngucken beim modden, die übersetzen es dann :)
