Why do the Wings suck so much against the Sens of all teams? 3 losses to them this year now plus the back to back blowout losses late last season which ended their playoff hopes. I'd rather have Detroit against Boston or Florida in a series than see another 5 minutes with Ottawa.

That was a great game.
As a wings fan, Debrincat has to keep skating there on the OT goal. He gave up a stride in the neutral zone instead of staying with his man. He was in position to, just let his guy get the jump. What’s more egregious was that he was right on him but stopped skating right before the pass connected.
How long was his shift? They were basically killing a penalty the whole OT - which is why 3v3 stinks in OT.
Sens are fun to watch again!

Ottawa Senators went up to 20-25-2, while the Detroit Red Wings dropped to 26-18-6
There is no safe angle on Larkins goal line shots on net. Goalies have to be panicking when he’s there.

Korppi has played ok, but Senator's defense has leaked the whole season so far.
Forwards have played themselves out, and too many 3 vs. 2 attacks of opponent have lead into the goal at own end.
D system is still in need of improvement thats true but i feel that we are waaay too nice towards our goalies (i play goalie so i have a bias towards them btw)
So our defensive system has been lacklustre but let's not pretend Forsie or Korpy would have had 920s on other teams, they have been dreadful this season.
Sooo many easy non-screened shots that they fumbled soo saying his play is "ok" is veeeery generous

Way to go Senators. The first Detroit goal was pure bad luck so without that goal you would have won in regular time but that goal by Pinto was so sweet.
6 points into a playoff spot isn’t bad. Extra point would have been great, but a 9-2-2 month isn’t bad either. Red wings definitely looking like the way better rebuilding team.

Highlights…. That’s what this is supposed to be. Of course we get the ‘must include’ center ice puck drop for the first and second period…but why not the third? Was it not the exciting ‘highlight’ that the first two were?? No hits? Or is that considered ‘sensitive content’ now? But a defenceman skating slowly in and drifting a soft wrister towards the goal is a ‘highlight’ on its own? brutal … it’s as if someone who doesn’t know the game throws these together
Never ceases to amaze me that Galley played hockey in the NHL for nearly 1200 games and has been doing games on tv for over 15 years...and he still isn't good at it or at describing a play. We literally watch Kastelic not make the hit on the Senators first goal and that having nothing to do with why the goal was scored, and yet, there Galley is, talking up how wonderful it was that Kastelic missed a hit lmao.
And then he praises Tkachuk for a play that never happens if two Red Wings don't literally fall down lmao.

And, again, he was congratulating Tkachuk for his "vision" when another player *fell down* lmao. All he had to say is "wow, that's a lucky bounce", but no, he has to way overplay it and make it seem like Brady made some wonderful play lmao. He also tries to crap on the goalie for some stupid reason about not letting them know the player was out when that had nothing to do with the goal either. Galley's consistently out to lunch every game when analyzing and breaking down the games.
